Sum 41 performed at the Intersection in Grand Rapids Michigan on Thursday night and a Best Celeb Gossip reader was able to meet up with Avril Lavigne at her unofficial post-concert birthday party.

After the Sum 41 concert at The Intersection in Grand Rapids on Thursday, Avril had a small birthday party in the venue with her husband and his bandmates. We were eventually able to get her a message that some of her fans were waiting with gifts for her outside and she came right out. She was absolutely thrilled with the gifts we gave her and ended up talking to us for over 15 minutes until finally Deryck told her they had to go because the tour bus wanted to leave. We asked Avril and Deryck if we could get photos with them and they were absolutely happy to do it. So we all got individual photos with Avril and then the two people I was with took photos with Deryck, but just as I was about to take my photo with Deryck, Avril started asking me what I was studying in university so I missed getting one. Then, when he came back to say they had to leave Avril asked him to take a picture with me first because I had missed getting one before! By this time I had even forgotten that I hadn’t had a photo with Deryck, but she still remembered.

So, as you probably know… or don’t care, or care, Fall Out Boy’s started their Young Wild Things tour that includes Australia, New Zealand and most of the US. Talk about a super CUTE poster. I don’t know if you remember the children’s books Where the Wild Things Are when you were a kid, but they were the best! They’ll start playing in the U.S. on October 18th @ the Schottenstein in Columbus, Ohio. I wonder if Ashley Simpson is tagging along? In other related FOB news, they’ve been nominated for three MTV Europe Music Awards in the Rock Out, Band Of 2007 & Interactive Act categories.

Here you are seeing Calum Best out with Chanelle Hayes, a housemate from the hit UK version of Big Brother. In the UK, Big Brother houseguests are revered in the celebrity circles due to the massive popularity the show has gotten across the pond. Chanelle Hayes (the Posh wannabe pictured to the left) was best known for her romances both inside and outside of the house, most famously for her love thing with fellow housemate Ziggy. Chanelle also made waves while in the house with an on-again/off-again flirtation she had going with another fellow housemate Billi Bhatti. This flirtatious tension has previously caused some uproar between her and current flame Ziggy and now here she is seen with Calum Best. Though not alone, Calum and Chanelle were spotted heading into a limo after a Microsoft Halo 3 launch party while her ‘true’ love Zigs spent the night across town with his dog at The Vegemite Tales.

Here you are seeing a shot of Britney Spears’ assistant Alli handing her a drink as they get into the car after leaving a recording studio in Burbank the other car. Now mind you, Britney IS getting into the passenger seat and we don’t know EXACTLY what is in the glass, but sure looks like she’s on the train to margheritaville to me! And just in case you were wondering, no it isn’t actually legal to be in a vehicle with open alcohol, whether you are driving or not, so she’s just setting herself up for another disaster. I have to say, for anyone that took pity on the poor thing that had the elephant tears after hearing she was probably going to lose her kids, look closely at these pictures. These kinds of choices do NOT a responsible person make, never mind a responsible mom to little babies. I wonder if this will come up in parenting coaching class?

Here are some shots that have leaked out for J-Lo’s cover shoot for the November issue of Arena magazine. I have a few questions on this, the biggest being when exactly was this shoot done? I have no dispute that she looks amazing, she always has, but it was only the beginning of September when we noted some real beefiness amping up and rumors of 12 weeks preggo swirling. I have to say, these pics, as awesome as they are, are definitely not of a woman that is a mommy-in-waiting. I have to guess we are looking at some big time retouching going on here, or some very old shots. What do you think?

Here is a shot of Paris Hilton at the airport holding what looks to be scripts or paperwork from the film she is working on now ‘Repo! The Genetic Opera!’ Following the filming of this not-so-highly acclaimed flick she is planning a trip to Rwanda around the November timeframe. Rwanda? My first thought when I heard about this was perhaps she had another crummy movie script in the works and filming was taking place there, but uh, no. She is actually going to ‘help’ people and the trip has a definite humanitarian purpose behind it. She thinks if she goes, it will bring attention to what people can do to help, and she has some kind of burning desire to visit countries where poverty and children’s issues are a concern. Yes, this might put a damper on her social life, and she will probably need to do some wardrobe updating as pink corsets and bubble skirts aren’t exactly Rwanda attire. So it will be interesting to see what comes of her new ‘hobby’, but you have to know I am kind of rolling my eyes on this one.

Seems an old pal of Lindsay Lohan’s had a little confab with Howard Stern yesterday. The ol’ chum was none other than Steve-O. During his little visit Steve-O revealed to the Stern man that he has a problem sniffing nitrous from whipped cream cans. The second bit of juice he squeezed was that Lilo has a problem letting other people’s sleeping coke lie. Guess the last time Lindsay was around for a visit at Steve-O’s, she came back after leaving claiming she ‘forgot’ her wallet and took his coke stash out of the bathroom. Hard to really come up with some credibility here given the man admits to sniffing whipped cream cans, but really, it’s not that hard to believe either. In other reports, there have been rumors milling that Lilo is on her way out of rehab, but this seems not to be the case. Cirque Lodge is saying she’s ‘not leaving any time soon’ and that she needs ‘more weeks to grow’. Huh. Shocking, really.
