Victoria Beckham apparently has some fairly high expectations of her fan base, that is, in order to qualify as a ‘true fan’. After arriving in Japan recently to promote the Spice Girls reunion World tour, Victoria, aka Posh Spice, was thrilled to see the Japanese crowd in tears over her. To extend that… she made several comments to illustrate just what she denotes ‘true determination’ as a fan. Her measuring stick? How badly one needs medical attention after being in her presence. If you cry, you are a good fan. If you pass out, you are a GREAT fan. But, if you require immediate emergency medical attention that involves paramedics, you are a TRUE fan. What’s funny is that, she is Posh Spice and everyone knows just how self-involved she is, so comments like this are almost expected from Victoria. In fact, although her notions of ‘true fandom’ may be a little condescending, I don’t see anyone falling over in shock over this. I don’t think she would be as adored as she is if she wasn’t so blunt and to the point, even when it comes to being full of herself. This girl will never eva get knocked down for not being honest, that’s for sure.
