I'm sorry...did I just read that Amy is a 'poor' woman? Sorry but I just can't seem to change MY point of view:if I'm rich or poor, artist or blue-collar worker, a knock-out in the looks department or an average Joe, no matter whats going on in my life, if I sniff it up or sprtiz it in, I'm ruining my life! I myself am an artist of sorts so what you're saying is that gives me the right to walk around like Amy does? Sure, everyone is entittled to their own life, but I believe that if I am such a public entity, I should use this publicity for a good cause. What ever happened to celebs being role models? Would you want to follow in Miss Winehouse steps? NO THANKS!
As far as gossip columnists go...you're reading this...aren't you?

What REALLY seems wrong is how columns like this just never let up on the poor woman. Through the ages, most true artists have been tormented. It's a major part of what makes them artists and the rest of us, not. Even if we might approach similar depths of feeling, we can't express it as they do. The world would be a much sadder place without artists like Amy; as for a world without gossip columnists -- well, a person can dream, can't he?

I'm not sure of the laws but is there anyway she can be forced to get help? It just seems wrong to watch someone self destructing in such a grand fashion
