Finally someone had the cahonas to give it to Pete Doherty. This time it was Amy Winehouse’s dad, Mitch. When he saw greasy Pete skulking around backstage at a recent concert of Amy’s at Brixton Academny, he went a little ballistic and the two apparently had it out. He is not too thrilled that this shame of a human who is a self-professed cocaine addict is hanging out with his daughter, someone who he is desperately trying to help pull herself together. The gory details of the confrontation haven’t exactly been disclosed, but some sources are saying that Doherty got smacked and that Mitch also hit him with a guitar. You can’t blame the guy, everyone knows how hard the Winehouse clan is working to save this poor girl. And frankly, just thinking about Pete Doherty inspires the desire for me to slap him too. But he’s such a loser, I can’t see that he actually gets any of it.
