Paris Hilton at the Sundance Film Festival

The Sundance Film Festival has started off with a bang in Park City, Utah, with Hollywood A-listers making their way out to support the independent movie industry. A-listers like Robert DeNiro, Tom Hanks, Bruce Willis, and Sir Ben Kingsley were among the noted guests. And also, I guess just because she has nothing to do really, Paris Hilton showed up in all her Hilton glory. This was sort of a twist for an event that generally veers on the ‘low-key’ side of the celebrity life, and the Sundance is traditionally known to celebrate the artistic nature of independent films, and it has been known as such since Robert Redford launched it in 1978. Limos, red carpets, are not something you will see at Sundance, and now well, Paris has changed the face of it a bit this year. But Paris’ presence did not go unnoticed by Mr. Redford as he said, so eloquently:
“Paris Hilton and so forth doesn’t have anything to do with anything.”
.
Really, it doesn’t get any more honest than that, now, does it.
