The antics of Britney Spears continue as the early start of this Thursday morning Britney Spears was taken away to the looney bin once again. This time the nuthouse visit was prompted by a carefully planned intervention by Britney’s mom and dad, Lynne and Jamie Spears. It would almost seem like at least someone in the family has some sense if Lynne has gone to measures to have her daughter committed, or at least brought in so she could be examined by professionals. But Britney didn’t exactly see it this way and had a traumatic first night in the psych wing where she was promptly classified as being unable to take care of her own basic needs. After arriving at the hospital Britney spent hours screaming at her parents and the staff, and even accused her mom of setting the whole thing up just so that she could sleep with her boyfriend, Adnan. That’s right, ‘cuz he’s SUCH a catch, isn’t he? He must REALLY like her if he’s sticking around for all this stuff. Since Britney’s admission, she has been given the label of ‘gravely disabled’ which means she’s not even able to take care of herself, and also means she can be committed involuntarily. She’s not allowed to even bathe herself and is limited to visitors for only one hour a day during the week and two hours on weekends. Because of her label and admission, she can be in the hospital anywhere from 72 hours to 14 days. And while no diagnosis has been officially released, the terms bipolar disorder and manic depression have been used QUITE a bit.
