Jessica Alba is ONE Feisty Mama!
Here is a picture of the cutest Mama-in-waiting shopping at Whole Foods with her fiancé Cash Warren earlier this week in Beverly Hills. But watch out! Underneath all the cuteness that is Jessica Alba is one feisty mama! She’s fighting back in retaliation against those that have been saying she’s not being true to her roots. Seems a certain celebrity blogger has been referring to her as Jessica ‘Don’t Call Me Latina’ Alba. Jessica has recently appeared on the cover of Latina magazine, and says her upbringing wasn’t really Spanish because her dad is second generation Mexican-American. She was not even taught Spanish as a child.
“No one gives Cameron Diaz a hard time for not speaking Spanish,” Jessica pouts to the mag. “Her dad’s Cuban, and I was telling her I feel so bad because everyone is so nasty to me for not speaking Spanish. She’s like, ‘I don’t speak Spanish! I barely speak English!’” ~ Latina
Some of this may stem from the fact that Jessica was also recently turned down for a Spike Lee movie because she doesn’t speak Spanish. The unfortunate turn of events was that Rosario Dawson, who also doesn’t speak Spanish was given the role. You know what? She’s getting a nice maternity break soon, maybe if it’s that big a deal she should just bone up and learn the language. If it’s roles she’s worried about anyway. And if it’s just a concern over people gabbing about her, she should just flip ‘em the mommy finger and just let ‘em eat cake. Who cares what they think, she’s Jessica Alba for pete’s sake. Second thought, YOU go eat the cake sweetheart.
