Here is Rosario Dawson celebrating the release of ‘Descent’ on DVD at the Tao Asian Bistro, The Venetian Hotel and Casino Resort just this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada. But Rosario isn’t just a pretty girl with a heaps of talent to her name, she is concerned about the issues that matter. With the 2008 election looming in the United States, there is an ever-pressing need for a showing of Latinos to participate, through their votes, in the election. Rosario Dawson is concerned about this issue, and she and Wilmer Valderrama are trying to raise awareness for this issue by starring in a series of telenovela-inspired spots that are hoped to inspire the Latino youth to walk to the polls come election day. Rosario is not just showing off her talent and concern for the issues in these spots, it also happens to be her directorial debut. Let’s hope Rosario sees the call to action she is looking for.
