Ryan Phillippe Goes to War!

Here you are seeing Ryan Phillippe and Director and writer Kimberly Peirce arriving at the MTV Films Premiere of Ryan Phillippe’s latest work ‘Stop-Loss’. The premiere was held at the DGA Theatre Complex in L.A. on Monday, and the movie is another of a long list of war movies that Hollywood has turned out in the past several years. Ryan plays the role of a decorated war hero, who is ordered back to the US Army to serve in Iraq against his will. Ryan talks about the movie, and how it’s not boring nor is it just any other war movie. He says it comes from the soldier’s perspective, giving the movie a human element that is more about the soldiers than about the war. He says there’s no political agenda in the movie, but has a lot of heart and is touted at being able to speak to a younger audience. Ryan enjoyed assimilating with the troops during this role and how his goal was to handle the role with respect and honesty, and he feels he accomplished that job. Keep an eye out for Ryan’s new movie that will hit the big screens very soon!
