Seems like Miley Cyrus just can’t keep herself out of sticky situations, but this is what happens when you’re a pretty young thing in Hollywood. At a recent photo shoot for Vanity Fair, Miley was asked to pose topless by world renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. She was draped in a blanket and wearing a nude colored tank which she was later asked to remove. And she didn’t really want to offend world famous Annie, so she did. And being the naïve young 15 year old thing that she is, the topless photos made the magazine, and Miley is mortified.
“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Miley said in a statement released by her reps on Sunday.

“I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”

Miley didn’t think anything of it at the time, her parents and grandmother even attended the day long shoot with her. But now she’s apologizing. And Disney’s reaction? While they are cringing, they have their own thoughts…

“Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

Kind of strange though, parents there or not. If you are at a photo shoot, and if you are at a photo shoot, and doing the make believe topless thing should it really be all that surprising that the pictures end up in the magazine? You don’t have to be wiser than 15 to figure that one out. But it’s Miley, she’s not losing any fans any time soon.

Here is Gwyneth Paltrow at the recent Ironman premiere that was held a the Odeon Leicester last Thursday in London. As usual, Gwyneth shone on the red carpet in a dress that was hardly there with killer heels to match. And not that she needs the height, but Gwyneth has been capturing more than side glances lately with her penchant for the seven inches of heeled pretties. These alone are enough to make anyone turn heads, but when you’re Gwyneth Paltrow, you’ll steal the limelight from anyone. Ironman is a comic book adventure saga and is proving to be a great film, which is bound to happen when you get a great cast involved. Gwyneth co-stars with Robert Downey Jr. who she describes as ‘full of life’ and she enjoyed working with him so much that she even wants to work with him for forever. Downey agrees saying that his life has never been so good, and side note, it’s nice to see this great actor back to work again. And with such stellar talent as Gwyneth? This film should make some waves.

Here is Lauren Conrad enjoying a hectic social calendar as she arrives at the “Glow in the Dark Tour 2008” party sponsored by Absolute 100 last week. And if you know anything about Lauren Conrad, she has been one busy girl of late. Not only is she one of the stars of the hit reality show The Hills, but she’s also launching her own clothing line, and she is also making the social rounds in Tinseltown to ensure noone forgets who she is. She’s been spotted at the Redken party this week, and the Absolute gig was held at the hip Goa nightclub to honor Kanye West’s Glow in the Dark Tour. She later stopped at the Villa to mingle, and as any designer would, looked fabulous in a white sleeveless belted number with stunning black peep-toes to pair. But if this girl is stressed about all her PR work, you’d never guess, she never lets ‘em see her sweat.

Well we had to know this wagon was going to stop rolling at some point, didn’t we? One look and you would never guess this girl was a Grammy Award winner honored with the task of soundtracking the latest James Bond flick. But Amy Winehouse is definitely back to her downhill slide, and as a result may end up with 6 months in the clink after she allegedly attacked two men on a drug induced bender the other night. She allegedly headbutted one man who was trying to help her get out of a cab, and also allegedly, punched another man in the face. In on bar, she was seen throwing drinks around and overturning tables screaming ‘I am a legend, I want to take drugs’. This night began after a long day of at home drinking Amy style last Tuesday, where after her day at home she headed to a bar with some musician friends, including Mik Whitnall, guitarist for Pete Doherty’s Babyshambles. The man that she hit was spatting with her about giving her his pool table, and she lost all control. Following the violent evening, Amy was seen wandering around Camden looking confused and unsteady, and it was later reported that she was high on Class A drugs. When a friend tried to help her in a cab to go home, the second physical attack occurred and she spent the day with Camden’s finest yesterday with arrest charges pending. The end result? Possibly 6 months time and a hefty fine. Given that she has not had any REAL rehab time, this event was probably just one waiting to happen.

Here is Pete Wentz as he is arriving at the BAPESTORE opening in Los Angeles this past week. And even though he is generally scruffed out, looks like he’s taken that to another level here. Is not wanting to look too Tinseltown a statement of his social conscience? Hard to say, but Pete has been working very hard at making sure the world knows just how socially aware he is, with everything, right down to the pretty little rock on Ashlee’s finger. The engagement ring he gave to Ashlee is not only a testament of his love, but also of his political stance. That’s right, everything supports a cause in Hollywood, even engagement rings. Ashlee’s ring is not what some would call a ‘conflict’ diamond. Pete announced at the NME Awards the other night that he wanted to ensure Ashlee got something that WASN’T a conflict diamond. A conflict diamond apparently is one that has been sold for unlawful or illegal operations for rogue military or terrorists groups, and, it’s something that Pete cares about. At the NME Awards Pete’s statement was bold, and yes, emblazoned on a T-shirt “Coltan is a Conflict Diamond”. Too bad he’s spending so much time supporting causes instead of his wife to be. He’s been asked if all of this activism is getting in the way of his wedding planning. Well, he says, he’s involved, but in a ‘peripheral’ kind of way. Uh huh. Just a fancy way of saying uh no, not much!
