How much does it take for someone to admit their gayness I wonder? For Lindsay Lohan, it’s a rumor that has been going around for some time, and you don’t hear her being too vocal about it one way or another. Her mother, yes, can’t beat the straight drum loud enough. But Lilo doesn’t seem too worried about hiding, or not hiding what is going on with her and BFF Samantha Ronson. They’ve been snapped kissing, and doing the cutesy couple thing, all stuff that clearly goes beyond the lines of friendship. But her dad, who seems to be making a living off of disagreeing with everything her mother says, has outed her in an interesting manner. His thoughts ran along the lines of their romance is ‘obvious to anyone with half a brain’. Though it is no secret that there is no love lost between Daddy and Mommy Lohan, it’s certainly an interesting way of disagreeing with someone and insulting them at the same time, no? Wonder how long Lilo’s love fest with Sam will last, we all know she’s not exactly the commitment type.

The newly spurned friendship between Mel Gibson and Britney Spears has had many tongues wagging. It doesn’t quite make sense that their friendship is the result of neighborly goodness, the fact that Mel almost lives in her backyard is moot. Were that the real case, she would also be friends with George Clooney as well. So their recent getaway to Costa Rica had many rumors banding about the two. Some even speculated that the vacay was a spiritual retreat and that Mel was attempting to convert her to ‘his side’. Whatever the reason is, there is no question the whole thing is a little odd, no? It seems that Mel has just parlayed some insight into why he and Britney have such an unusual connection as zip codes are not the only thing these two have in common. Mel has just recently said that he too has bipolar disorder, just like Britney and so that perhaps may be the bond that ignited their friendship. Although he may share fame, substance abuse, and reckless behavior with the pop star, the disorder is what ties them together. He spoke recently about his highs and his lows, and was even recently video taped tearing out a fan for some seemingly small thing. And in fact, Mel has only just recently found out this news, so perhaps, the newly diagnosed are commiserating together. You know what they say, birds of a feather….

Hopefully you all remember Luke Menard, it’s going a way back, but how can we forget this one? He was such a sweet crooner, and I was so sad to see him go, but now even more sad to hear of this news. Luke Menard was in the top 24, and made the cut to the final 16 this year, having been booted from Idol at the beginning of March. So close! It may have been best that his Idol time was cut short as Luke now has some serious health challenges facing him as he has just been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Luke is 29 years old from Crawfordsville, Indiana and his Idol stats show his favorite quote as being “Don’t fight. But if you have to…hit first and hit hard.” And this is one motto he may have to take with him on this struggle he has ahead. David Cook is devastated, and found out the news just days before he was crowned this season’s American Idol, and literally dropped everything to visit Luke at the Los Angeles hospital before the finale. David and Luke hit it off on Day 1 of Hollywood week, along with Michael Johns and Jason Yeager, and this group of buddies referred to themselves as ‘The Four Horsemen’. David told People Magazine, “Any time one of your own is going through something as horrible as that, it makes everything else seem a little bit insignificant.” And David is no stranger to cancer in his life, his older brother Adam has been fighting the battle against brain cancer for 10 years now. David wants to use this chance in the spotlight to see what he can do for those that he loves.

Penn Badgley and Blake Lively are the super power IT Couple on New York’s Upper East Side in the hit prime time drama ‘Gossip Girl’. The two have now taken their sizzling on-screen romance off-screen and are getting a little more daring with their public appearances. Who knows how long the romance has really been brewing, but just recently the two were spotted in Mexico on a steamy weekend couples getaway, and now that their cat is out of the bag, they are not shy to hide their budding love. Here are the happy couple as they spent Memorial Day in the Big Apple not really doing much. The pair were just hanging out around the West Village, strolling hand in hand and looking as if Spring in New York had hit them pretty hard with the love bug. Penn is looking casual as ever in shorts and a button front shirt, while Blake is supporting her glamorous reputation with a cute little ruffled dress and Miu Miu bag. But just because ‘Gossip Girl’ has wrapped, doesn’t mean this girl is whiling her time doing nothing. She’s currently working on the film ‘The Private Lives of Pippa Lee’ and is co-staring with big names such as Keanu Reeves, Julianne Moore, and Winona Ryder. Keep an eye out for the film, AND on this couple. Something tells me the chemistry is sizzling with some longevity for these two.

We reported on the Kate Hudson/Lance Armstrong cutesy thing not too long ago when it became official, for perhaps the last time, that the on-again/off-again Kate and Owen thing were finally off-again. Now Kate and Lance have been spending a lot of time together, and most recently in Cannes during the Film Festival. The other night they went public as a couple at the Dolce and Gabbana annual party and caused heads to turn. And there were many heads to turn, the party was so packed that even Petra Nemcova couldn’t get in. The couple were spotted chatting with Festival juror, Natalie Portman, among many others. They were seen dancing to old Madonna songs and again, there was some public kissing. Sources described them as so cute, and that they were beaming at each other. Kate is not exactly known to be the settling down type, so let’s just see how long this one lasts.
