Sounds like Sarah Jessica Parker’s perfect happy life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. She’s seen here at the Sex and the City New York premiere with her loving doting husband Matthew Broderick. But what you don’t see behind these shiny happy faces is a marriage that is ‘on the brink’. It sounds like Matthew is a big fat cheater these days and the 11 year marriage between him and Sarah Jessica is on thin ice. Matthew has been accused of having an affair with a 25 year old red headed girl. She’s a youth counselor that Matthew met at a bar last Fall, and he somehow thought it appropriate to get her phone number. As these things do, it started off with text messaging, and then one thing led to another, and he’s been seen going in and out of her apartment with flowers and wine and been romancing her for several months. With Sarah Jessica on the whirlwind Sex and the City circuit, my guess is that his affair has been very easy to hide. But many are considering this to be just tabloid rumor, despite the fact that the affair is coming out of details given by a close friend of the other woman. Graphic intimate details. My guess is that details as such are easily made up, however, this is not a PR grabbing couple on the headlines every week, so for something to come out like this may have some kernels of truth to it. It would be a shame considering these two are known for having a rare longevity to a marriage. And it is shocking indeed. But what is MOST shocking to me is that Matthew would choose another WOMAN to cheat with? I always thought it would be the other team, if Matthew ‘came out’ with indiscretionary behavior.

Christian Bale has been on the hot seat this week as he has been arrested on charges related to an assault in an incident with his mom and his sister. The incident happened at the Dorchester Hotel in London, and it was his own family that called the police on him. The details of the arrest have been clear, but what are the details surrounding the incident? Word is leaking out now that there were two major issues that triggered his blowup. The first was that mommy and sister came to Christian for a loan in the amount of $200,000 and he said no. When he refused, mommy dearest got a little ticked and started wife slamming, the second major issue. The wife slamming was apparently the last straw, and apparently mom’s attacks were so heinous that Christian had had enough. But was it an assault in the truest form? Sources are saying no, that, well, there may have been a push between Christian and his mom, but that the push was so light it was more of an ‘aggravated brush’. So the coppers got called in. And now mom and sister seem to embarrassed to shed any more light on the issue. Well, I guess so considering now they look like gold digging you know whats. This just goes to show how big things get blown up when money, family, and celebrities are all mixed in one steamy little pot.

Jessica Simpson is one of those pop stars that people either love or hate, and now that she’s gone country, it seems even those that love her have mixed feelings. Yes, Jessica has turned her career around a little bit and is attempting to make it big as a Country Western singer. But it sounds like its going to be an uphill battle for her. Jessica returned to the state on Saturday night at the Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, and was hoping to make a big hit with the Mid Westerners. Well, most of them love a good twang when they hear it, but they seemed to have been expecting something else from her, because yes, she was booed. And she tried to give them the down home feel by saying she’s ‘just a girl from Texas, I’m just like you’. Oh yes, I am trying to stifle the gags as I write…And yes, her main Dallas Cowboy squeeze of course was on hand to help her launch her C & W Debut, for which he was rewarded with a small shout out from his girlfriend who is anything but discreet. Jessica sang from her upcoming album, ‘Do You Know?’, scheduled for release in September, and made note that she was happy for the struggles she’s had this year, as it really helped her concentrate on her work. She was overly emotional given this is her first time on stage in many years and says her struggles have helped her create this new album. Lord help us. Does she even know what struggles are? And I’m not sure what she meant about the first time being on stage in 3 years, unless of course she doesn’t count her tours of entertainment overseas with the troops which have been going on quite a bit the last couple of years. Now, those ARE some struggles. But passing off boyfriend problems as struggles? Please! Needless to say, the response from the crowd was underwhelming. Shocking.

Christian Bale is seen here attending ‘The Dark Knight’ premiere at Odeon Cinema in London. And it seems that just getting to the premiere was half the battle for Christian as he has found himself facing some charges in London. Is Christian really a Dark Knight? Or does he have a temper that is a little out of control? His mom and his sister have a few thoughts on that, particularly since they are the ones that have filed the charges against him. Christian’s mom, Jenny, who is 61 and his loving sister Sharon, who is 40, filed charges against him on Sunday after an incident at the London Dorchester Hotel. Christian was staying at the hotel for a stay to accompany his attendance at the UK premiere of The Dark Knight which was to take place the day following the incident. According to UK’s, The Sun, Sharon and Jenny filed charges after some incident where Christian allegedly ‘lashed out’ at them and he was immediately charged and arrested. In England, it is a policy to arrest before investigation to protect the victims, so off he went. Christian voluntarily handed himself over to the police and has since been released and as have the charges apparently. Christian denies the allegations completely, and cooperated with the police on all accounts, providing full details about the incident in question. And since then, no further comments are being made. Even his big mouth sister says:

“There was an incident but the police are dealing with it,” Sharon told the Telegraph newspaper in the U.K. “It is an extremely sensitive situation. There is nothing more I can say.”

A sensitive situation? Even his release was not exactly kept under wraps, as he was released Hollywood style. Considering his charges were ‘minor’ his release was a full out fanfare and included a 10 man police escort while he was driven out in a blacked out Mercedes people carrier. Um, hello? Does anyone else smell a publicity stunt? Is it just a coincidence this happened the night before a major premiere? Particularly given all the PR that Heath Ledger has been posthumously given about the same film. Maybe Christian just needed to do SOMETHING to stand out a little bit. Time will tell….

Here is Lindsay Lohan on the set of Ugly Betty, as her role for the hit sit come has been reprised thanks to her smashing success with it last season. Yes, sometimes the girl can actually act. But despite her heavy back to work schedule between Ugly Betty and her new movie Labor Pains, the thing people are still talking about most is Lindsay’s relationship with Sam Ronson. I am still not convinced that these two are pulling one heckuva publicity stunt, I mean, we are talking about a girl who REALLY needs headlines that don’t include the word ‘rehab’. So either they are acting it out beautifully, or there is something very real happening there. They spend every second they can together, with their fingers laced at every opportunity. And since the 22 thousand dollar birthday gift of a ring that Lindsay received from Sam, the two have been living together and virtually inseparable. It even sounds like Lilo’s mom Dina has finally decided that it’s ok. She says she loves Sam, and that she thinks the two are great and that as long as her daughter is happy and healthy ‘it is what it is’. Huh. So if even mom has accepted it, why haven’t the two come out and made this official Hollywood style with an announcement of sorts? According to Lindsay’s reps, its because Lindsay wants to ‘keep her private life private’. Oh ok. Well then maybe she should stop canoodling all over the girl every time a camera is around. And maybe she should remember that she’s Lindsay Lohan. And privacy is not exactly in abundance in her world.
