Was the Gossip Girls Season Opener All it Was Hyped Up to Be? (Ep.1 Spoilers)

We have been reporting a lot on the much hyped over episode one of the hit prime time drama Gossip Girl, so now that it came and went yesterday, was the long hot summer wait for it really worth it? Well, we did certainly have some of our teaser questions answered, and the scent of scandal and lies was certainly rampant in the hot Hampton air. But was it enough to keep fans fuelled for more? Our mystery guest that was seen with Nate has been revealed as his secret summertime lover, which would be hot enough given that she’s simply a newbie in the fold, but even hotter when we found out that she was married. Nate has some undying feelings for her, for the moment, and she had some green twinges of jealousy that seem to indicate the same. Little J seems to be holding her own very well as an intern in a fashion house, and while she was fumbling a mite at the beginning of the show, she gave a pretty good show for herself by showcasing her own *previously rejected* piece at the exclusive White Party. And then of course we have the Blair/Bass situation, where Bass is clearly in love with B, but far too proud to admit as much, and his evil ways got the better of him when we found out Blair’s new ‘beard’ boyfriend was actually a Lord from Britain, and not a mere underling from Princeton U, or was that Georgetown? Hm….And as for Serena and Dan, well nothing unexpected there which I think was the biggest disappointment. We heard a lot of heartbreak over the summer from both of these two, but of course by the end of the hour their relationship was neatly wrapped up and pieced back together. I think the suspense factor would have been more brilliant had they kept us hoping for those two a little longer….Is B really in love with the evil Chuck? And will she dump her new Lord for him? Hmm….this is a story I am eager to follow, as I am sure you all are. You know you love it…xoxo
