Awww. Angelina Jolie is SAD.

If you have been wondering why you haven’t seen too much of Angelina Jolie since the birth of her twins in July, when it seems all the other new Hollywood baby mamas are front and central, there is a reason for it. All reports at this point are indicating that Angelina Jolie is suffering from post partum depression following the birth of her twins. Post partum depression, or PPD, is very common after a labor and delivery and has a lot to do with hormone fluctuations and new life changes. When you add a double bundle in the mix, it is almost inevitable for new moms. And by all accounts, this is what Angelina Jolie is suffering with. With her new twins, she and Brad now have a fold of six children, and Angelina is suffering from mood swings and ‘inappropriate’ behaviour by laughing hysterically at inopportune times. Mind you, these folks have an in house full time staff that rivals many small businesses, so the notion of them being overloaded and overwhelmed I am going to guess is not playing a role here as much as fatigue and hormones are. She seems to be slipping into depression quite frequently and the babies have been diagnosed with colic which means they are crying all the time for ‘no reason’. She stays in bed most of the time and one report is that ‘all she does is sleep’. She has very little energy and needs to force herself to eat due to her double duty breast feeding schedule. She also is crying herself at the drop of a hat and laughing inappropriately. Sounds like the whole family is suffering as well, and Brad and Angelina have been at odds over it. She got upset with him for going to the Italy Venice International Film Festival to promote his new movie ‘Burn After Reading’ and she feels that he ‘has it easy’ and can just ‘jet off whenever he feels like it’. I dunno, as I said, she’s got a regalia of people to help her with the kids, and if she is sleeping all the time, it sounds like she doesn’t have a whole lot of hair raising child rearing on her plate right now. Ok, so she had to go through the pregnancy, labor, and delivery, but honestly, some new moms would do A LOT to be in her shoes.
