Britney Spears Fights Traffic Court

Britney Spears was spotted here while she was away on the East Coast in New York promoting her new album. And I have to say, looking good Britney, my my she is fading away on us isn’t she. But yes, Britney made an attempt while in SoHo to get some shopping done, but her efforts were thwarted when the media thronged her. And while Britney has been fighting to get her career back on top, she still has some legal issues that just seem to be nagging her away. You may recall that incident where she hit a parked car in a parking lot, and at the time she *oops* didn’t have a valid drivers license? Yes, the news screamed on headlines because that was back in her trainwreck days and well, mole hills turned into mountains very easily back then. Well, that violation ended up being a misdemeanour charge for her, and one that she can’t seem to shake. It has actually turned into a criminal case, and her lawyer seems to think it may all be due to the celebrity of it, given that most offenders would pay a $10 fine and walk away from the charge. But the judge doesn’t seem to be all that lenient here, and a stay for an actual criminal trial has been denied twice so far with the trial expected to start in October. Isn’t this just the oddest irony? Back in the day we would have all laughed at her and said she deserved time behind bars for it though, wouldn’t we? But Britney has proved us all wrong, and thank goodness for her own health that she has. While she works this charge off, she is still polishing ‘Piece of Me’, the track that recently won her three VMA’s earlier this month, as she isn’t quite convinced that it’s ready for the airwaves yet. She thinks its cool overall, but says she’s done better, and wants to hit that bar again. Gotta love her at this point. She’s strong, she’s healthy, and she is back on track.
