Lindsay Lohan Covers Marie Claire

Lindsay Lohan has been making a lot of headlines lately, and primarily because she has finally outed herself and her relationship with smashing DJ extraordinaire Samantha Ronson. The unfortunate thing is that during the midst of all of this, former sex symbol Lindsay Lohan seems to be forgotten. At least the sex symbol part of her. So just in case people forgot just how sexy this girl is, she thought she’d refresh all your memories with a smoking photo spread and cover shot in Novemeber’s UK Marie Claire. Lindsay not only reminded the world just how sexy she is, but also spoke candidly about the issues we’re all curious about, her past, her relationship, and on this situation between her dad and his ‘other daughter’. As far as Samantha Ronson is concerned, Lindsay says, in her infamous ambiguity, that people can think whatever they want. That she is happy, and that’s all that matters. Many folks have chalked Lilo’s continuing sobriety up to this new relationship, but Lindsay says no, she’s a great person, but ‘anything that’s changed in my life is because of me’. In terms of her party girl past she says, she’s gone through it and had to deal with it, making the decision to move forward. She says she has learned from her rehab, and pre-rehab days and says she’ll just never go there again. Because addicts are addicts for life, she knows better than to say ‘never’, but she knows at a deep down fundamental level that it’s just not a place she will be in her life. By the age of 12 she says, she had seen so much, and it surprised even here that she got into so much even when she knew better. But rehab did more good for her than imagined, as it was a vacation to her, with no paps or media, nobody bothered her. But she will never forget the darkness of those days. And being a superstar hasn’t really helped. She says the pressure is intense, and everyone is depending on you. If you have a bad day on set, everyone feels it. And she says being a star can even be depressing sometimes, because one minute there is hype and excitement, and the next it’s gone. But when asked the really tough questions, those about her father, she had very little to offer. Her family life is up and down she says, unpredictable.

It was kind of just like whether my dad was gonna be there, what he would be like. We didn’t know what to expect from him, which was difficult.

Recently her dad’s unpredictability made waves and headlines when it came out that Lindsay has another sister *out there somewhere*. Her thoughts?

‘I don’t know what’s going on with it. I haven’t asked him any questions. Apparently, we’ve been in the dark for so many years we’ve gone through enough with him. Enough is enough. I’m shutting down communication with my dad for a bit until he decides to be a grown up’

And that of course is no surprise to any of us. Right now, she wants to focus on her career, and specifically music because she is finding it thereapeutic, and hopes to sell some records in the future.
