And by the looks of it, Jennifer has much to clap about as she headed into this holiday season with the world at her fingertips. With a new movie releasing on Christmas Day, and one that is already topping the charts, a *sort of* love interest or companion on the horizon, and a slew of new work coming out this year, Jennifer certainly does have a lot to be merry about. And with her sometime boyfriend Player Mayer four time zones away, Jennifer decided to spend her holidays with her extended family the Cox-Arquettes. Jennifer joined best friend Courteney Cox, her husband David, and their four year old daughter Coco for a Christmas Eve feast Beverly Hills style at Mastro’s Steakhouse. Jen usually gets steak, but she asked for fish instead and she ended up getting the sole and vegetables. Jen also had some white wine with her fish, while the rest of the table enjoyed steak.

Sadly, boyfriend John Mayer wasn’t around to watch his girlfriend eat fish, as he was in Connecticut enjoying Christmas East Coast style with his family. But he did manage to fly back to Los Angeles for December 26 to see Jennifer, and it is likely that he will ring in the New Year with her. In the meantime, Jennifer can count her piles of money, as her latest film ‘Marley and Me’ has already raked in almost $52 million at the box office over the holiday weekend, and even beat out Brad Pitt on this one. Yep, seems the good people like Jennifer more, as her ex husbands ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’ only brought in a mere $38 million over the same time frame. Not only did ‘Marley and Me’ beat out Benjamin Button, but also ranked for a Christmas Day box office record making more than $5 million on opening day over the previous record holder ‘Ali’. Not too bad. So yes, though her love life may be a little uncertain at best at times, Jennifer is doing very, very well on all other accounts. Definitely a lot to clap for!

Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson are seen here leaving Bardot nightclub, and it looks like the two have had somewhat of a rough night. Or perhaps the girls are just feeling the weight of the holiday season and a very public relationship. Yes, even big time celebrities can fend off stress during the holidays, and we know that Lindsay has had her share of it what with more public feuding with her father Michael Lohan, and the discovery of a half and illegitimate sibling. All of these things are quite possibly wreaking havoc with Lindsay’s emotional state. And the stress from all of it may be coming into play with her relationship. Lindsay went public about the fact that she wasn’t spending the holidays with her family for the first time ever, but it sounds as if even this factor may have been cause for concern over the holidays. All reports on the Sam and Lindsay holiday season are anything but favourable at this point, with a few reports surfacing that broken dishes and loud voices were all part of the Sam/Lilo holiday season. Yes, dish breaking screaming matches seemed to be on the holiday agenda for Sam and Lilo, and these reports are coming from their Hollywood Hills neighbours. The Sunday morning before Christmas, Lindsay was overheard using her outdoor voice against her girlfriend Sam Ronson, and though exact wording was not heard, one report is that the phrase ‘You never say you love me’ was among the screaming echoes. Followed by the scream fest, glass was heard to break, and Samantha was then overheard yelling ‘If you’re gonna break things, get out of my house’. And, to add fuel to the fire, this was the same day that Samantha was seen popping into the hospital emergency room on the advice of her mother. The girls must have smoothed things over, as Lindsay visited Sam at the hospital, and later in the week were spotted shopping in L.A. together….possibly on the lookout for some plastic dishware. And though the tides may have settled for the girls, family woes are still at the top of Lindsay’s mind, as Daddy Lohan, Michael, has fuelled his online fight with his daughter by publishing a website called ‘The Real Story with Michael Lohan’. Natrually, his debut post has since been removed, but the website is designed to document his conspiracy theory on how Samantha is taking advantage of Lindsay.

“Was it me who jumped out of a DJ booth and punched Lindsay when she was with Calum Best?” he writes. “Did I drive Lindsay around for hours in L.A. until she fell asleep and before I ran low on gas only to call the paps and sell pictures to them?” I’m going to guess the answer is either “no” or “zzzzz.”

Such loving fatherly words, no? And it’s funny how Daddy Lohan just doesn’t quite *get* the fact that every time he is publishing thoughts on his famous daughter Lindsay, he is media feeding himself and cashing in on her fame as well. When do we think he will get it? uh….I imagine he’ll be ice skating in hell before that happens.

Lindsay Lohan was spotted here looking a bit worse for wear as she follows girlfriend Samantha Ronson out of Bardot in LA. The pair were on a night out with Sam’s DJ and music producer brother, Mark. And looks like the happy couple were blowing off some steam after having just returned from Phoenix, Arizona where the pair were mobbed by a crazed fan who was arrested after pushing past a nightclub security guard and tried to grab at Lilo. Phoenix resident Daniel Patrick Combs, 38, lunged at Lohan outside Jackrabbit Lounge in Scottsdale, Arizona and scared her out of her wits, but was very quickly arrested for the incident. So Lilo may have been bending the arm a little here to unwind as she looks like she’s been heavy into the partying. Or she may have been unwinding over the recent announcement that she has publicly acknowledged her half sister. And true to form, Lindsay’s public announcement came through her MySpace blog where she wrote:

“My father just let my family and [me] know, amongst other [things] that he had another child after my little sister Aliana. Or maybe he had it before Aliana?? Either way, he cheated on my mother and that really sucks.”

And of course Daddy responded right away, but no, not to her, to People Magazine of course. He sent them an email strongly denying Lindsay’s claim and even slammed his own daughter by saying

“there is a ‘99% chance that that MySpace message was actually written by her girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

What father DOES that?? Maybe the dirty cheating father who doesn’t want to ‘look bad’ in public, yet to me, he just seems to make his hole bigger by slamming his own daughter that way. Lindsay however is handling her dad situation with as much grace as she can, and I applaud her for that. She acknowledged in the same blog post that people go through a lot in life, and that these things just make us stronger. She says ‘we actually take what it is we have learned from our mistakes and teach ourselves what NOT to do in the future.’ Pretty grown up for a former bad girl, huh? We just hope that she can follow her own advice. Lindsay also talked about in the same post how she was spending the holidays with her girlfriend, Sam Ronson, and that this was the first holiday season she was spending away from home. She sent wishes from her blog to her family in New York, Aliana, Cody, Michael and her mom and grandmother. And I suppose the battle with her dad will continue until one of them just lets it go and agrees to disagree. Not something I imagine will ever happen. But what will be interesting to see is what happens with this new half sibling? A new pop star in the making set to cash in on the Lohan name? Wouldn’t be the first time it’s happened in Tinseltown.

Michelle Williams is seen here yet again hanging out with her daughter Matilda as they enjoy some milder temps in New York. And these days, Michelle has been out and about quite a bit, and the more she is seen, the more often we begin to see her beautiful smile. Yes, Michelle has had a very sad year with the loss of Heath Ledger, the father to her daughter, and even though the two had split up three months before he died, 3 months is not that long, and we know that she still loved him very much at the time of his tragic death. And though we do not know how close they were then, there are reports surfacing that Heath is trying to get closer to Miranda, from the other side. Yes, it has been reported that Michelle has actually been visited by Heath’s ghost, not once, but twice. She stunned some co-workers on the set of her latest movie ‘Shutter Island’ by talking about how Heath was ‘visiting’ her. She said the first time it happened, it scared her half to death when she was woken in the night by a series of eerie bumps, and then noticed that her furniture was being moved around. She then caught a glance of a shadowy figure who she is quite sure was Heath Ledger. This time she was scared, and even thought that she had imagined the whole thing, but when it happened again, she said it was much more vivid, and there was no mistake.

The apparition was much more vivid. I realized it was Heath when he spoke and apologized for not being able to help raise Matilda.

This falls into a fact or fiction story, not sure if she, or someone else is making this up. If it’s her, I don’t see her making up a story for publicity, and this may have actually happened, or her grief has caused her to believe this has happened. And, if it’s someone else, then well, some more PR for Michelle while she promotes her new movie isn’t entirely implausible.

Jessica Simpson is seen here pouting for some reason or another as she heads out of the Katsuya restaurant in West Hollywood after dining out for a night on the town with some girlfriends. And though she is looking noticeably curvier, it is hard to say at this point what Jessica is pouting about. Yes, she’s a little thicker in the thighs and cleavage area, and she was seen exiting the restaurant clutching her large black bag to her stomach. And this move may mean that Jessica has something to hide. She has made no secret of the fact that she is very interested in having a baby with Tony Romo, and it even seems that she’s made the point of ‘the sooner the better’. So her new curves may mean that she is already well on her way to realizing her dream, or, her time spent in the Old South working on her country music career may have her indulging in good old southern cooking a little too often as well. But she says publicly that she is actively trying for a baby with Tony Romo, and usually in Hollywood that means that one is already pregnant, and is gearing up the publicity by using the ‘trying’ term. Friends of Jessica themselves are saying they wouldn’t be surprised if she made an announcement very, very soon. And she has been gearing up for mommyhood by domesticating herself.

My personality is now more stay-at-home - right now I’m doing the Christmas tree and everything. I’m in Dallas and its fun, Tony hasn’t had Christmas in seven years because they have football every Christmas and he can’t go home. So I’m bringing Christmas to him this year.

Awww….almost wants to make you gag up your Christmas dinner, no? But yes, while Jessica may not know what the chicken of the sea is, she does like to cook, and particularly, pies. She says Tony’s favourite is pumpkin, and she’s ‘still working on that’. Perhaps by the time baby Simpso-Romo comes to town, she will have that one down pat. What do you think? Has Tony already preggo-‘d Jessica’s eggo? Or….is this just more publicity for her since nobody really cares about anything ELSE that she has going on…

Well well, this has gotta hurt for Kate Hudson, since it seems like she and Lance Armstrong just broke up about five minutes ago. But at any rate, it sounds like Lance has moved on rather quickly, so much so that he’d probably even ask at this point ‘Kate who?” And that’s because he has quite a few things on his minds these days. Most notably, his new girlfriend and their baby on the way. Lance moved on from Kate to a little thing named Anna Hansen, and has just announced that they are expecting their first child together, due in June. Should we do the math? That brings us back to a Fall conception, and *when* exactly did he and Kate break up? Well, according to Perez Hilton, the two have been dating ‘quietly’ since July, so, since babies are one of the new shades of black this generation, I guess a baby a few months into a relationship is no big deal. Lance is the father of three other children, 9 year old Luke and 7 year old twins Isabella and Grace, so fatherhood will be a breeze for him. And in the meantime, he says he appreciates us all respecting their privacy, while they are both eager to celebrate the holidays as an instant family. Is that his way of saying, stop calling me a big fat cheater behind my back?

This is one of those stories that makes you go ewwwww…..but an all too common tale when it comes to celebrities. We all have heard the regales of folks that rummage through the celebrity trash to get that half eaten piece of pizza…or whatever they can get their hands on. For Scarlett Johansson, she put her trash to good use, and decided to auction it off for charity. And, guess she couldn’t come up with any decent trash, or at least trash that she wanted the world to see, because the best she could come up with was a used tissue. And by used, we mean, used. And we all know what tissues are for, do we not? That’s right. Scarlett Johansson generously forked over a wad of paper that she had, something on, and auctioned it off for the charity USA Harvest. But that’s not even the shocking part. The shocking part of this story is that her snootie wad fetched a whopping $6490 at the eBay charity site!! That’s right! And the folks were fightin for it! Bidding for her tissue debris began at $1.21 and just hours before the auction ended was sitting at $4959. The final price of almost $6500 was found after 83 bids had been placed. In this auction, bidders had to be preapproved before they were allowed to put in an offer, and of course, the lucky winner remains anonymous. I would hope so, and I hope it remains that way. I do NOT want to know the person that is carrying around someone’s used snot trash. ANYONE’S used snot trash. And I am sure Scarlett is laughing her way through it all. But who even donates that? Oh, you’d like to raise some money for charity? Here’s my trash. Nice. Looks like her latest finding on Maxim’s Young Hot Hollywood 2009 list may have gone to her head a wee bit. I don’t know…is it just me, or is this all just soooo nasty.
