This gorgeous Private Practice star shocked everyone when she announced that she and her hubby of 15 months were hitting splitsville, and it was one of those ‘rip the bandaid off’ announcements where everyone, including Kate, got very quiet about it for a little while. But now it sounds like Kate has done some healing and is ready to talk about it. She says that the divorce hasn’t put a hamper on her spirit and she is ready to pick up and move on.

“I don’t think anyone gets married thinking that they will get divorced. We certainly did not. Alex and I still care for each other, and I wish him nothing but the best. The silver lining to this, however, is that I have a wonderful family and a great group of friends who really showed their support and encouragement, and for that I am truly grateful.”

Kate says that yes, it was hard for a while as it would be for anyone, and that’s why she wasn’t very open about it at the time. And though she is too classy to go into the nitty gritty, she says that’s she’s in a much better place now. She’s not too keen on dating though, not that she would have a problem doing so should she make the leap again, as she says that she is a little apprehensive still. She says she is still feeling pretty insecure about the divorce (suggesting that HE caused the split) and she second guesses herself all the time. Which must be what makes her such a great actress, as I can’t remember a time when I would have guessed that. She always appears so confident no?

It seems like being engaged or getting secretly married is the new black in Hollywood, as Tinseltown’s hottest stars are being scooped up left right and center permanently. Engagement rings, and weddings, and secret elopements oh my. The next couple on the wedding block are none other than the smoking Adriana Lima and her NBA Star man Marko Jaric. And of course, it couldn’t happen on any other day than Valentine’s Day. Awww…collective hug. Or gag, depending on where you fall on the romance meter. Marko proposed to Adriana on her birthday, and the two got secretly married on Valentine’s Day in a quite ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. But this is a couple that is going to have their cake and eat it too, so keep an eye out for more wedding details. Adriana is not wanting to miss the big white dress experience, and is planning a summer broo ha ha, second wedding of sorts, for all of their nearest and dearest. Their next wedding is expected to take place in Brazil, Adriana’s home country, or perhaps in Serbia where Marko is from. The happy couple met in 2006 and were engaged last June on Adriana’s 27th birthday. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Chris Brown has certainly not won any gold stars lately, and he probably won’t be getting any any time soon. His reputation has taken quite the hit, no pun intended, since he allegedly beat up Rihanna a few weeks ago. Now that he is realizing the public, social, and probably career backlash, he is publicly announcing that he will be taking anger management classes. But he isn’t taking them to you know, actually control his problem, he’s taking them to clean up his reputation. And if you know anything about the criminal court system, then you know that anger management classes look pretty good when it comes to a defense, so his rush to therapy isn’t actually giving me the warm and fuzzies at this point. And of course one of his friends is jumping on the Brownwagon by saying that he isn’t the only one that ‘needs it’ that Rihanna has been known to be temperamental as well. Yeah, but she didn’t beat anyone up. And that is actually the difference.

It seems like not that long ago when we were making some noise about Mischa Barton packing on the pounds. She was looking a little heavy in the thighs at one point, but seeing her now, I wonder if it was just a poor wardrobe choice on her part on that particular occasion. Either way, she must have heard the world wide noise on her new weight gain, as she has whittled it off in record time.In fact, her recent weight loss has happened SO fast, that Mischa is heading towards the scary skinny list at record breaking speed. But if you ask her, she will quickly tell you not to worry about her, that she is doing just fine and there is nothing wrong with the weight loss.

One minute, I’m too fat, the next I’m too skinny .Just so you guys know I’m happier and healthier than ever. Things are really well in Mischa world and I’ve just been watching what I eat.”

Normally ‘watching what I eat’ in Hollywood speak translates to….literally watching your food since you’re too afraid to eat it for fear of moving up to a whopping size zero. But Mischa says it’s all in the Pilates and yoga and some cutting back on the fatty foods. If it could only be that easy for the rest of US. All of this may be well and good for Mischa, but we’re keeping her on the watch list for the time being.

And here we have Usher and his then “new wife” Tameka Foster last year as they were arriving in Los Angeles for the Grammy Awards. Usher of course is no stranger to the Grammy Awards and is a 5 time Grammy Award winner himself. In fact, since he’s been in the business, he hasn’t missed a Grammy once…until this year when he cancelled at the last minute due to health complications whirling around his wife Tameka Foster. With all of the news swirling still so heavily on the Chris Brown and Rihanna situation, news of Tameka Foster has been kept kind of under wraps, my guess being this the preferred means for poor Tameka. But it sounds like Usher’s wife, Tameka Foster has been living her own little hell this past week. Tameka checked into a Sao Paulo hospital last week to undergo standard plastic surgery for liposuction. Unfortunately she never quite made it to the liposuction procedure, as she suffered some health complications due to the anesthesia immediately prior to treatment. Right before surgery, she went into cardiac arrest during anesthetization, but was revived almost immediately with heart massage. Standard procedure in this case is to put the patient in an induced coma so that the heart can recuperate, which she did in an intensive care unit. After she came to, she was transferred to a much more equipped hospital to continue her recovery. Since then Tameka has been released, and though not much else is being said, my guess is that she is recovering from home. Tameka and Usher have been married since August 2007, and have two month old Naveid Ely Rayment, and little Usher Jr. who is 15 months old. Our hearts and thoughts go to the family and we wish Tameka a speedy and healthy recovery.

Rachel Bilson and her long time love Hayden Christensen were spotted here shortly before the American Thanksgiving at LAX as they arrived to catch an Air Canada flight. And this was just one step of many that the couple have taken lately to show how serious their commitment is, as this visit was purported to be a ‘Meet the Parents’ type thing for Rachel. Hayden is a Canadian, and by the looks of it, he was bringing Rachel home to get her acquainted with his hometown. And by the sounds of it, his ploy worked, as sorry to disappoint you boys, but the oh so sexy Rachel Bilson has been snagged up for good. But we can’t say that we didn’t see this one coming. Rachel has been joined at the hip by Hayden Christensen for some time now, and the two have not been secret at all about how committed they are to each other. The two co-starred together in the 2008 flick ‘Jumper’ and it seems that it was love at first sight. And tho the reps haven’t come out of the woodwork with any official comment, the two did get engaged and it sounds like they have managed to keep it under wraps from us. The only comment Rachel’s rep could provide was ‘I do not comment on my clients personal lives’. Uh hello, isn’t that what reps are supposed to DO? Isn’t that why they ARE reps? At any rate….The magical moment happened over the holidays, and the two are blissfully in love and plan to have a long life together. No word yet on when this will take place, but Rachel being a style icon, my hunch is that this is going to be one of the bigger Hollywood affairs, and not of the ‘eloping is chic’ variety that seems to be one of Hollywoods trends right now. And since the official announcement came in the New York Post, yes, this will be big. Our congratulations go out to the happy couple!
