I gotta say, this is one relationship that I was really hoping was going to be able to weather the storm, but it just doesn’t appear to be the case. Here LeAnn Rimes is spotted leaving her house to head to LAX Airport for a departing flight to Utah for the Deer Valley Music Festival. And while she has been working hard on her career lately, it seems her marriage has taken a turn for the worse, and for good. And this havoc is still swirling around rumors that she was hooking up with her co-star Eddie Cibrian. She made the split of her seven year marriage public at the Utah Festival, referring to her troubled marriage to dancer Dean Sheremet on stage:

“You know, I think that you will all really be able to relate to this next song in your lives. You probably know it’s inevitable that in a relationship, sometimes you will have your heart broken at some point. Sometimes, you might say that you can’t do anything and sometimes, you want revenge. Sometimes, you say, ‘You’re not worth it.’ But sometimes, you don’t, and that’s when you leave it in God’s hands and know that he will take care of it.”

Dean has also spoken about the end of his seven-year marriage, taking to his Twitter blog to let fans know he was dealing with the break-up. He wrote: “Thanks to everyone for all the support through a very difficult time!” It has been claimed the couple decided to part ways because their lives were going in different directions, and that getting married at a young age was the trigger for it all. LeAnn was 19 when she got married to 21 year old Dean. But inside sources say that the two have actually been separated for some time, and may even be trying to work on their relationship. But yet the Eddie rumors keep swirling, so either someone really hates this couple, or there may be some truth to it, we may never know. Eddie sticks up for his co-star vehemently, saying:

“Other than being friends and two actors who were romantically intertwined in a movie-for-TV we filmed last fall, there is no truth to the reporting. It is a fabricated story that is using random snapshots as connective tissue to create a scandalous relationship.”

However, earlier this month they were spotted flirting and laughing at a friend’s Malibu home before going on a motorcycle ride together. It also emerged Eddie’s wife Brandi Glanville - who has two children with the actor, six-year-old Mason and Jake, two - has left him as well. And Brandi’s thoughts are that “Eddie and Leann deserve each other”. Yes, the claws are out on this one. Either way this is a very sad situation, with a lot of very sad people involved. But LeAnn is LeAnn, and surely will rise above it all with that smile we all know and love.

Here is the formerly happy couple seen in one of their last outings together while dining in New York and leaving the trendy Da Silvano restaurant in downtown Manhattan. Ah yes, for a while there this was a match made in heaven, and then, predictably, something went oh so horribly wrong. And though we haven’t heard too much…until now…about what happened between this seemingly star crossed couple, some word is leaking out that sheds some light on the blowup that was to be their last. And it was a doozy.

For those of you interested in what finally pushed Tony over the edge, you may be intrigued to find out that the last minutes of their coupled bliss occurred in the parking lot of an International House of Pancakes. That’s right. Now Jessica can write a song about how she got dumped at an IHOP. It’s every country western star’s dream, really. So no, it wasn’t a total vat of pig’s blood tipped over her head moment when Tony Romo dumped Jessica Simpson the night before her birthday. There had been signs of trouble in paradise for weeks. Before Tony sent Jessica floundering into a dark Hope Floats-fuelled mope, Tony abandoned her in the parking lot of an International House of Pancakes. This cruel and unusual family restaurant visit was spurred by a three hour fight the couple had while driving across Texas.

Jessica was left to cry her smokey eyes out for two hours until someone came to get her. It’s suspicious that it would take Jessica that long to get help, considering she is the Queen of Texas. Maybe that was just a nice way of saying “ate complimentary pancakes for two hours.” But there is more to this story, as Player Mayer rises again in the gossip columns, this time without Jennifer Aniston. It sounds like Tony Romo was turned off marrying Jessica because she kept in touch with her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.

Of course John is too busy checking himself out in the tabloids at the grocery store to comment, but it sounds like being dumped 12 times by him wasn’t enough for Jessica as she is now considering hooking up with John. But this time, things are going to be different. A source says she is refusing to be treated like “a sex object” because “she wants a real boyfriend who will commit.” Although Jessica could probably be bargained down to a free John Mayer T-shirt and thanks in his next liner notes under the pseudonym “that special girl–you know who you all are!” And yes, I think we’ve officially had enough of this story, as you know you can only kick a dead horse for so long before your foot gets really annoyed.

Well, they’re staying in the same hotel, so use your imagination. Which means it looks like Chris Brown is going to have plenty of occasions to wear his diamond “Oops” pendant. Both Chris and his ex-girlfriend Rihanna checked into New York’s Trump Tower hotel separately on Friday night. On the other hand, the restraining order written into his plea agreement for assault against Rihanna requires him to stay 50 yards away, so if he’s overcome with the desire to slap someone, he’s gonna have to find another target. Chris won’t even be formally sentenced until August 5, but unfortunately for the poor prisoner who’s singing “Somewhere Out There” and holding onto hope that someday he will make Chris Brown his prison wife, no one saw Chris breaking his probation Friday night. Chris went to a movie with friends, and Rihanna left two hours later to go out for fancy dinner at Philippe with an entourage of at least seven.

Chris checked out of Trump Tower on Saturday, and according to a friend, it was because Rihanna had checked in. So it was all one big crazy coincidence, much like every episode of Three’s Company that you’ve ever seen. But despite any scripted apologies you may have seen on YouTube this week, Chris hasn’t acted that apologetically over this whole career-ruining incident, aside from that time he looked deep inside himself and went Jet Skiing. And since Chris has already gotten away with pounding Rihanna in the face like a superpsychopath this year, feel free to go ahead and assume he was stalking.

Rihanna, meanwhile, has been linked to yet another new man. She brought blonde pin-up Mr. Hudson to the premiere of Inglourius Basterds in London, England, on Tuesday, reports the London Mirror. Mr. Hudson sings on Kanye West’s “Paranoid;” Rihanna is in the video. Their date sounds pretty PG, although Rihanna did lead Mr. Hudson by the hand to meet Quentin Tarantino. Quentin then went on to bore their ears off with advice for Rihanna about breaking into movies. Rihanna in the movies? Thanks a lot, Quentin. Maybe he should be the one with the Oops necklace. What’s new with Rihanna and Chris Brown? Not much it seems.

Many of us have been waiting for a very long time for Rihanna to see some justice after the alleged domestic attack on her by Chris Brown. We know that since the incident, Chris has gone to preliminary hearings on charges of violence against Rihanna, we haven’t learned too much about what is in store. Rihanna of course was the primary witness in the case, and we do know that she did in fact testify. Her testimony was to be used as evidence against Chris Brown, but we were warned that if her testimony wasn’t “enough”, all charges may be dropped against him. Sounds like she must have told a convincing story, as all of a sudden, Chris is getting all nicey nice about the situation and has even written a letter of apology to her. He wrote her a letter, and then turned it into a video on YouTube. I guess his fate was not looking so good, because one can’t help but wonder, why wait months and months to apologize for something you know you are guilty of….especially when you have been hiding like a coward and pleading not guilty all the way through. But Chris has some explanations for that, as noted in his letter, and though it is a nice gesture, and something Rihanna certainly deserves, it sounds like a whole lot of back pedaling to me. More of a “I need to do this so I don’t go to jail” letter, rather than an actual apology:

Hi, I’m Chris Brown. Since February my attorney has advised me not to speak out, even though ever since the incident, I wanted to publicly express my deepest regret and accept full responsibility. Although I will do some interviews and answer some questions in the future, I felt it was time that you heard directly from me that I am sorry. I have tried to live my life in a way which that could make those around me, proud of me and until recently, I think I was doing a pretty good job.

I wish I had the chance to live those few moments again. But unfortunately I can’t. I cannot go into what happened and most importantly, I’m not gonna sit here and make any excuses. I take great pride in me being able to exercise self control and what I did was inexcusable. I am very sad and very ashamed of what I’ve done. My mother and my spiritual teachers have taught me way better than that. I have told Rihanna countless times and I’m telling you today that I’m truly, truly sorry and that I wasn’t able to handle the situation both differently and better.

I recognize that I’ve truly been blessed. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful family, wonderful friends and fans. God has been generous in giving me the ability, which has brought me fame and fortune. I have done a lot of soul searching over the past several months. I’ve talked with my minister and my mother and I’ve spent a lot of time trying to understand what happened and why. I have let a lot of people down and I realize that. And no one is more disappointed in me than I am.

As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence. And I saw first-hand what uncontrolled rage can do. I’ve sought and continue to seek help to ensure that what occurred in February can never happen again.

And as I sit here today, I can tell you that I will do everything in my power to make sure that it never happens again. And I promise that. What I did was unacceptable, one hundred percent. I can only ask and pray that you forgive me please. I hope that others learn from my mistake. I intend to live my life so that I’m truly worthy of the term role model. Thank you.

Considering his last video statement touched on such vital issues as his upcoming album and “the haters,” this is definitely a more appropriate attitude. No matter what was going on inside Chris Brown’s head for the past five months (and based on his behaviour, I think it was probably “bowling… bowling… bowling… bowling…”), he had to do this for his reputation. If he’s sincere too, that would be an exciting bonus. That’s something we’ll get a better sense of over the course of these interviews he’s going to do. Hopefully he talks about how sick his behaviour was, and doesn’t just play Horse with Ellen.

For a while there, this was one starlet that we sort of had high hopes for. She always looked so elegant and classy wherever she went, and she seemed to pooh pooh the likes of former Hollywood bad girls Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Ritchie. Oh no, she would never end up like THEM. But it seems that while Mischa Barton may not be dealing with a DUI on her record, she certainly has fallen into some kind of Tinseltown trap, and is on the way downhill, and it isn’t a very slow slope for her either. And here she is seen on what has become just another night in the life of Mischa Barton, as she stumbles out of the trendy Bungalow 8 club in London, looking a little worse for wear in the wee hours of the morning. Sources say on this night she didn’t crawl out until about 4:50 AM, and that this is not an atypical evening for Mischa. But it is the combination of many nights like these, with the pressures of Hollywood that have become just a little too much for Mischa to handle, as she has just had a breakdown of some sorts that has hospitalized her. Mischa Barton was sectioned last week at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after being placed under a 5150 hold, a piece of US legislation which means she poses a danger to herself or other. Her rep says that she is making improvements and will be returning to work as early as next week on the set of “The Beautiful Life”. Shooting of US TV show ‘The Beautiful Life’ - in which Mischa plays a supermodel who struggles to cope with the pressure of the fashion world - has been postponed until July 31 after it was claimed the sets were not ready. When in actuality, production was stopped so that Mischa could have a breakdown of sorts. And her rep may not exactly the details of Mischa’s case at all, as production folks have gotten a little nervous about this and are considering lining up a double for Mischa is case she is not well enough to film. Maybe Mischa just needs a little pick me up, as sources close to her say this (the breakdown) is all caused by low self esteem.

“She hates her legs. She isn’t comfortable with her body. It’s been a big source of stress and self-hate. She had a big problem with those photos of her cellulite. She didn’t like it. That just was something that contributed to her spiraling but she didn’t do much to fix it because of her partying.”

You have to know it’s getting bad when style icons like Mischa Barton are suffering from low self esteem. But it seems that partying like Lilo is the real cause of her spiral, as since the breakdown she has reportedly lost all her friends, including close pal Nicole Richie, following her wild behavior. All of her friends have literally abandoned her, because they just don’t like the way she is living her life. It is being said that in the last few years, her dark side has really come out. Her friends, like Nicole, want to be supportive but they really can’t be around her too much, and that she is even being really volatile. So it may not actually have anything to do with self esteem at all, as it has been alleged the actress has been using drugs and alcohol to cope with her money problems and stuttering love life. Yep, it seems that even if Nicole Richie doesn’t want to be her friend, Mischa must be doing some pretty hard and heavy partying. You have to know it’s bad when Nicole Richie is judging your behaviour. Let’s hope for Mischa this is just a momentarily lapse, and she will be back in her elegant icon status sooner than later.

Britney Spears is seen here with yet another new look, and if there is one thing we can bank on with this girl, it is change. Yes, she always keeps us guessing about what will become of her next, whether it is her personal style, hair cut or color, custody situation, legal situation, romance situation…EVERY situation she encounters seems to tweak her life a little more and it seems this is one starlet drama cycle that we will never get tired of. Here Britney is seen in all her new brunette glory, flashing one of her fabulous smiles, as she heads out to run some errands with with her new boyfriend, and long-time manager, Jason Trawick. The pair went shopping in ‘Bed, Bath and Beyond’ and stocked up on household items including brooms and picture frames. And because this is a couple that can never do anything alone now, naturally they were escorted by two of Britney’s bodyguards. Just another Sunday in the life of Britney Spears! And now that there are some changes in Britney’s legal situation, it may well be that she is able to do a little more personal shopping of her own now. We all know that her finances have been under the tight fist of her father and conservator of her estate, Jamie Spears, and this has been the case ever since her bipolar breakdown so many moons ago. It seems that life and health are good for Britney, and steps are being taken to resume some control of her own life. As it stands now, this conservatorship/lordship of her father may come to an end, and surprisingly enough, her own father is making the steps to do so. What will become of his $125,000 a month salary then? It will hit the dust, so maybe finally he’s gotten enough of her money to keep him happy and leave her finances alone for a while. But it doesn’t seem to phase him, as the 27-year-old singer’s father Jamie Spears - who was made co-conservator of her personal and professional affairs following her public breakdown last year - wants a judge to review the conditions of the agreement when Britney’s ‘Circus’ world tour concludes in November. But unfortunately it doesn’t sound like Jamie has the final say here. Gossip website TMZ reports:

“Jamie can’t ask the judge to end it - just to review it. The judge then decides if Britney should regain control of her life.”

Jamie thinks Britney - who currently has shared custody of her two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline, Sean Preston, three, and two-year-old Jayden James - is now strong enough to look after herself. This is just another sign that Britney Spears is not just back, but back for good. So let’s cross our fingers that her judge feels the same and lets her start living her own life.

Here is the ever so cute Lauren Conrad enjoying the day on the beach in all her red, white, and blue glory while she maxes the relax in Malibu for July 4th celebrations. She was joined by her latest hotty, Kyle Howard, and the two were seen splashing away in the water and kissing under the sun. And though we have heard some buzzing on her book deal, we haven’t really paid too much attention since we have been too busy wrapping ourselves up in the most recent season of The Hills. But the New York Times has certainly paid attention, as Lauren’s first book for teens, “L.A. Candy” has topped The New York Times best-seller list for children’s chapter books. For two straight weeks, Conrad’s novel about a young woman living in Los Angeles, who gets discovered for her own reality show, has made the list. Sound familiar? Well, the best writers draw from their own experience, so what can you expect. And given that many of her fans want to know what her life is really like, this book concept is about as real as it gets. And in case you were wondering, no, Lauren supposedly did not hire a ghostwriter for this one, though where she found the time to do so is still a bit beyond me. Mind you, LA Candy is such a hit, that she has a deal to write two more books about the characters. She talked with The Associated Press about “L.A. Candy,” paparazzi and frenemy Heidi Montag Pratt’s faith. But her interview with the AP was revealing, and we may just have to give her props for taking on so much at once. What did she learn about the process?

The deadlines can be stressful because it’s kind of a forced creativity. You want to take your time and the publisher’s like, `Yeah, but we’re gonna need it in like a week.’ I kind of felt my first draft needed to be perfect, and I learned as I went along you can make changes and figure it out along the way.

And so now that she is a reality TV star, and a best selling author, is there any way that Lauren is buckling under the pressure? Or is she as real as she looks while galavanting on the beach? When it comes to the pressure, Lauren says,

I used to get stressed over it. I moved actually to a different area. In our old home we had anywhere up to six cars waiting full of photographers outside. If I wanted to walk my dog, run out to the grocery store real quick, it was like a thing. I remember there were days I felt I couldn’t leave the house … I don’t really care as much anymore.

Lauren Conrad doesn’t talk much of her friends on The Hills, though she does say she is still roommates with the infamous Lo Bosworth, and she keeps in touch regularly with both Stephanie Pratt and Whitney Port. As far as what either of those gals are up to? Mum’s the word. What’s next for this mega star? She really wants to produce and that is currently at the top of her To Do list. After she pulls out two more books of course. Props to Lauren, this is one girl who manages to keep it real when she has been given every reason not to.

Here is one of those happy couples that you just truly enjoy seeing so happy. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan in all of their engaged bliss are spotted here at the ever so hip Chateau Marmont after attending one of the numerous parties held during the hot Academy Awards season. And their engaged bliss it seems wasn’t meant to last for long, as they are officially together forever (well, Hollywood forever) after stepping up and marrying each other in front of God, and of course Haylie Duff. His G.I. Joe movie might be racking up record lows in the box office, from focus groups, at least he has some good news offscreen to counterbalance possibly starring in the worst movie of the summer (I’m just saying Hayden Panettiere’s I Love You Beth Cooper shouldn’t get too comfortable). He wed his Step Up costar Jenna Dewan in Malibu, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, last weekend. And, as you can guess, all of Hollywood made their appearance in this not so intimate wedding. The 200 guests included a who’s who of, well, who?. Jenna’s maid of honour was Montreal-born Don’t Mess With The Zohan babe Emmanuelle Chriqui and the wedding party included pseudo-celebrities Haylie Duff, of being related to Hilary fame, and Nick Zano, of the Amanda Bynes sitcom What I Like About You. And since none of these folks are really hitting the big screen right now, the hot topic in the receiving line was probably, “Do you know anyone who’s hiring?”
The afternoon ceremony was held at the Church Estates Vineyard, and yes, this is precisely where Fergie Ferg and Josh Duhamel got married in January. The bridesmaids wore light pink, Jenna wore a white gown with a cleavage-maximizing sweetheart neckline and a veil, and the boys all wore black. For their first kiss, Channing went oh so traditional, dipping Jenna backwards, to the sounds of appreciative whooping from the crowd. They then walked down the aisle holding hands. There’s been no word yet on their first dance, as minds are presumably still blown. And though the two had only been engaged for about five minutes, they seemed to pull off quite the do even with Jenna having complained about being ‘the worst bride ever’. But it sounds like they pulled together a pretty snappy ceremony in under three months. I guess that’s the kind of magic that can come together when no one in your social circle works. Mean? Maybe. But that’s how I get when the cute boys slam the ring on the finger.
