Here is a shot of Amy Winehouse and her crazy trainwreck husband Blake Fielder Civil last summer when they were experiencing much happier times. And by that I mean, they could probably do more crack together without being under the microscope so much. From the sounds of it, Amy is going to have to stick to the memories for quite some time, as contrary to her initial hopes. Blake will not be released any time soon. Like not this year. Or even the next. He’s been sentenced to 27 months for his kerfuffles last year. These charges go back to when he beat up a p pub manager and then offered him a cool $400,000 and a vacation to Spain to keep quiet about it. His charges include assault and obstructing justice. Blakey plead guilty on Monday to charges of grievous bodily harm and for perverting the course of justice, and begged the judge to let him walk free….all so that he could stop Amy from using drugs. Yes, that noise you hear is me laughing REALLY hard. That his only defense was that he, a known crack user, wanted to help his wifey climb the straight and narrow is laughable. Yes, he was speaking accolades about his abilities to act as a role model for Amy. Guess the judge must have thought so as well, since instead of walking free, Blake was sentenced to 27 months behind bars. Because he has already served nine months, his sentence will be about 18 more months. And when the sentence was handed down, the judge spoke about Blake’s behavior, saying something along the lines of ‘gratuitous, cowardly, and disgraceful’. Ah yes, I guess when you’re on crack, you fall into the trap of thinking that everything you say actually makes sense and thus will be easily accepted by the public. Uh no, Blakey, not this time. Good luck though!

Amy Winehouse was spotted here the other day leaving a lawyer’s office in Central London. Guess she almost knows how to present oneself for these situations, as it seems she made at least a little effort in cleaning herself up. I can’t say when I last saw her in a skirt. And while yes, she still does look a little…well, skanky, the effort is duly noted. Whether she was seeing a lawyer on hers or her hubby’s behalf who knows, but my guess is we will find out. It sounds like the long awaited freedom pass for hubby Blake Fielder-Civil is pending as he will be released from jail this weekend after serving his required 8 months for assault charges and charges on coercing a witness. Hm. Does anyone smell a trainwreck brewing?? Uh huh! In other Amy news, it sounds like there may be something wonky in the air around the Winehouse homes, as Mitch, Amy’s dad, recently had a fainting spell and passed out at home. Nothing serious apparently, mind you, he’s not a crack user, so instead of staying in the hospital for weeks on end he was simply ordered to rest. My word, I wonder if the spell happened shortly after word came out that Blakey was on his way home? Hmm. I smell trouble on its way for this girl….and you don’t need special spidey senses to figure that one out.

I honestly don’t know what it’s going to take for this girl to stop, but….I hope it’s soon for the sake of the London residents. Amy Winehouse is seen here leaving the Stapleford Centre, a private clinic that provides drug and alcohol treatments. And well, she must have learned a lot because promptly after leaving the Centre she was spotted visiting a pub and three other different bars. The Dublin Castle, the Good Mixer, and the Made in Brasil. She was seen doing shots of Cuervo special gold tequila at Dublin, before meeting up with some friends at the Mixer. Unfortunately she may not be allowed in the Dublin anymore, because before she left she punched a guy in the face THREE times. It seemed to be unprovoked, but reports later came out that he pinched her behind. Which apparently merits THREE punches in Amy’s world. The rampage continued well past the Mixer when she continued her shot-aholic and she finally started to stumble home after her fourth bar. When she got home, she slapped one of her bodyguards in the face, and was also said to have hit one of her random lurkers *cough* fans, that are always sitting out by her door. And just when the Londonites thought it was safe to be an alcoholic again, Amy comes back with a vengeance.

Well it looks like Amy Winehouse was given a weekend pass after all, as she seemed to make it to quite a few events this weekend. She is seen here performing in her usual odd glory at the Glastonbury Music Festival decked out with cocktail umbrellas adorning her lovely beehive. Amy was given reprieve by her doctors to do a little work this weekend, and she was seen at both the Nelson Mandela bash as well as the Glastonbury Festival. Despite her health concerns and possible emphysema, Amy made it first to the stage for Nelson Mandela, looking composed but slightly unsteady and performed her best known songs “Rehab” and “Valerie”. She also made it to the end of the show for a group performance with all performers for the bash of The Specials 1984 hit ‘Free Nelson Mandela’. Later in the weekend she appeared at the Glastonbury Festival, and in true Amy style, you had to know the composure wasn’t going to last long. At one point after taking the stage, she climbed into the pit and began scuffling with a fan. Noone is sure what sparked her little broo ha ha, but you know, Amy is Amy. Wherever she goes a trainwreck is sure to follow

Yesterday Amy Winehouse was given a little reprieve from her ‘treatment’ duties over at The London Clinic. Amy has been in the clinic since last Monday after collapsing at her home, and it turns out she is suffering from the early stages of emphysema. However reps and doctors seem to disagree, as her reps have confirmed serious scarring on her lungs that could lead to emphysema, but other reports (from Amy’s dad) are confirming early stages of emphysema. Who knows the real deal, but we do know that this is one sick lady, even if she is just dealing with scarred lungs. And of course, one of the first things she did when she stepped out of the hospital was..you guessed it, light up a cigarette. Amy was given the reprieve so that she could get some shopping done and have a rehearsal for the upcoming Nelson Mandela birthday celebration. Amy is scheduled to perform for Nelson’s 90th birthday party, but given that the party is this Friday and her health is nowhere near 100% it is touch and go. Surprisingly though Amy was in good spirits and all reports say the rehearsal went well. Doctors are saying there is no reason that Amy won’t end up with overall good health, as long as she keeps doing the ‘right things’ and refrains from the ‘wrong things’. My guess that with scarred lungs, the ‘wrong things’ would include crack and cigarettes. Well, so far she’s at least 1 for 2, as given the gaggle of people around her, crack would probably be really hard to cover up. As for the Nelson concert this Friday, the doctors will get the final say when the time comes.

Well it has been no surprise that Amy Winehouse’s body finally decided to shut down on her, or at least begin the process. She’s never been exactly known as the type to lead a model lifestyle in terms of taking care of her health. And her many years of chronic cigarette and crack smoking have started to catch up to her. After having been hospitalized for collapsing at her home, Amy has now been in the London Clinic for a full week and there have been a lot of rumors circulating as to why she may or may not be in at all. Amy has been diagnosed with a weak heart, but her lungs are not doing well at all. Her doctors have rule out tuberculosis, but it looks like the formal diagnosis at this point is emphysema. Amy is in the early stages of emphysema, and her crack habit and cigarettes are to blame. Her lungs are quite a mess and doctors are seeing several nodules around her chest as well as dark marks showing up on her lungs. Right now it appears that she is operating with 70% lung capacity as well. Prior to Amy’s hospitalization, she had had a few days that were typical Amy style, having stayed up for as much as 48 hours straight with little to eat, and a lot to smoke, and she slept for the first three days while in hospital. And it sounds like she’s got the wakeup call she needed, as she has promised her dad that the drugs will stop once and for all. Yes, sadly sometimes it takes a serious diagnosis and health scare to do that, but for many it’s a lot worse. Her chances of performing for Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday party this coming Friday are 50/50, but my hunch is the way things are looking, slim to none. Let’s hope that Amy does get the treatment she needs and begins to take things seriously, as talent is definitely one thing she does have going for her and this could be just what she needed to get her life back on track.
