Last week the happy and goofy life of Cameron Diaz was interrupted with the tragic and sudden death of her father, Emilio, who died of pneumonia last Tuesday. Emilio had been diagnosed with flu a few weeks earlier and passed away suddenly in his home. Cameron recently held the memorial for her father in Seal Beach, California. She asked the attendees to wear colors in celebration of her dads life and she also asked that no flowers be brought. Instead, donations were accepted on Emilio’s behalf for two ocean protection charities. Guests respected Cameron’s wishes, and donned Hawaiian shirts to help her celebrate her father’s life. You know your good friends will come out in times like these, and Cameron is definitely not short on that. She received support from many noted guests, including Justin Timberlake, and another former boyfriend, John Mayer. Emilio is survived by Cameron, his wife Billie, and Cameron’s older sister Chimene. Our thoughts and our hearts are with Cameron and her family.

Here is one girl that no matter how old she gets will always pull off the Hollywood beauty effortlessly. Whether she is gracing the red carpet in Valentino, or hanging out in jeans, she’s just so pretty. And her recent work with GQ is no exception as Cameron shows off her fabulous bod and natural modeling abilities. But if you have the Y chromosome and lust after this girl, don’t get too excited. She’s been secretly dating Scottish actor Gerard Butler, and by dating, they’ve had three dates together in a 10 day span at this point. Reportedly of course. They’ve been spotted at the Shutters Hotel acting all cutesy cutesy, which for Cameron, isn’t that hard. A lot of giggling and touching was going on, and then they were spotted again at the Teddy’s Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel in L.A. Their last stop in 10 days, The Chateau Marmont Hotel. Butler was most recently hooked with Naomi Campbell, and we all know the fiasco Cameron had with Criss Angel, so it looks like a few steps up for both of them. It looks like absence made the hearts grow fonder for Cameron Diaz and John Mayer. Sources are saying the two are back together. They were initially linked way back when in August and something sort of fizzled out. Just recently they were spotted at the L.A. Sunset Marquis Hotel. And not just spotted, Cameron went into John’s room and wasn’t seen for about three hours. Apparently afterward she was seen with something termed ‘goofy grin’. Well, it is Cameron, she does look like that a lot, however, this could mean some sparks are re-ignited. Not just sparks either, John has recently confessed that he’s looking for a deeper commitment, in the wedding ring kind of way. In fact, he’s been heard saying he actually obsesses about the fact. Hm, what do you think? I’d think they make a cute couple. Though in Hollywood, I would advise against marriage. That will kill the relationship for sure.

Just when you thought you knew your celebrities….If you think that Eva Mendes and Cameron Diaz are two of Hollywood’s classiest ladies, you may want to rethink that. The two are good friends and Eva has recently challenged Cameron to a farting competition. Yes, you did read that right. Eva was hanging out with Cameron in Nepal recently for Diaz’s MTV documentary series, and they shared a hotel room and did the girly girl up all night thing. Well, not TOO girly. Cameron started the evening with some belching and Eva wanted to top her by starting the fart off. So charming isn’t it? Odd though that hearing that about Cameron Diaz doesn’t surprise me, but Eva just a little bit. Funny, I just don’t think I can look at either of them the same again….
