Do you read Marie Claire UK? Its their Eco Chic issue. Cate Blanchett is on the cover and inside the mag she gives an interview where she discusses green issues as well as her personal life, such as her husband and filming for the Inidana Jones movie.

On her husband: “We’re unnaturally close… He was the first person I was romantically involved with who I could talk to about how I work. I have actor friends whose partners don’t provide any constructive criticism. But I get support in all its forms from my husband… I really hope he gets that from me, too.”

On Indiana Jones: “This is one my kids can definitely see… Dash watched takes with me on set and he was really impressed as I was by ‘the guy in the hat’, as he referred to Harrison Ford.”

On the future: “I firmly believe we all have the capacity to think big thoughts and are ripe to be inspired. I’m an optimist. I believe we’re ready as a generation to seize this opportunity to make profound environmental changes for the better. After all, what’s the alternative?”

In an appearance at the Hayden Orpheum in Cremorne, Australia the other night, Cate Blanchett revealed on the red carpet that she was in fact expecting her third child. Cate was wearing a loose shift dress in pink and orange organza that revealed the slightest possibility of a baby bump for the normally thin actress. Cate walked the red carpet in an appearance with fellow Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush and actor Abbie Corbish to promote the film Elizabeth: The Golden Age. She was asked by reporters if she was expecting, and she simply answered “Yes I am.” Cate also revealed she is in the early stages of pregnancy, and her baby is due in April. Despite the pregnancy, Cate plans on continuing work with her husband Andrew Upton, as artistic director for the 2008 season.
