Salma Hayek is seen her enjoying some mommy and me time with her baby daughter Valentina at Taverna Tony’s club in Malibu. And yes, both of them are as pretty as ever. Salma apparently has quite a lot on her plate these days as she awaits the release of her latest work ‘Cirque du Freak’ due in theaters later this year. She also has some woes on the personal front it seems, as, after recently announcing her engagement to billionaire Francois Henry Pinault, the two seem to have called it quits. The engagement is officially off. The couple have their 10 month old daughter, Valentina together, so my guess is that parenting duties will be worked out, but they will no longer do so ‘as a team’. Their reps are both stating the official end of the engagement, but no further comment is being released. Salma has been known to say that a marriage hasn’t always been necessary, that she doesn’t see the need and that she just wants to grow old with someone, paper or no. However, the fact that Valentina’s daddy lives in Paris, and Salma and the baby do not, may be huge factors in the split. We may never know the real story, but in the meantime, Salma is picking up the pieces as a new single mom.

Here are Jennifer Lopez and her hubby Marc Anthony shopping for clothes for their little twins Emme and Max while out and about in Milan of all places. They are in Milan so that Marc Anthony can receive an award from the Milan town council in recognition of his artistic achievements. And, if you are wondering how the parents of baby twins manage to find the time for shopping excursions in Milan, you are probably guessing it has a lot to do with the celeb factor and the probability of a bevy of nannies on hand. Well yes, this is true for the most part, but J-Lo and Marc have had some issues with nannies it seems and from the sounds of it, J-Lo is ‘Boss Zilla’ when it comes to employing others to care for her kids. She spent the first 3 months of their life doting on them herself, and wanted to be hands on, but that novelty seems to have worn thin, as the nanny parade has started, and it sounds like she can’t keep help around. J-Lo has already lost TWO nannies in the short month that she’s begun hiring them. Her expectations it sounds are high. She wants one nanny to take care of both the twins, and expects 16 hour days 7 days a week. The only upside is that a nanny to J-Lo is making a sweet $2250 a week, which amounts to $117 K a year. Not bad for a babysitting job. Mind you, what are the chances of a nanny actually making it that long? Doesn’t sound good at this point….

Ah yes, just when we thought we could go a day without saying nothing about these folks, they go and deliver their little ones. Finally! Saturday night was an exciting one in Nice, France as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt saw the birth of their twins. Angelina delivered the babies by C-Section, and it was one of each for the A-listers as they are the proud parents of both a new baby boy and a new baby girl. Knox Leon is the name of their new son, and he was born weighing in at 5.03 pounds and their little princess Vivienne Marcheline was born at 5 pounds. And, per the doctor’s reports, everyone is doing very well. The birth was moved forward from its originally planned date (which was kept secret) due to some medical reasons, to ensure the babies would be born ‘in the best conditions’. Though, no details have been provided as to what any of that meant, but it does sound like an emergency C-section was the end result. These tots will make babies #5 and #6 for the couple who have Maddox (6), Pax (4), Zahara (3) and Shiloh (2). And yes, as expected there is a media frenzy around first shots. Reports as it stands now are that the couple will fetch an unprecedented $24 million for the baby pictures, though who will be the lucky recipient is still mum. As with Shiloh, it is anticipated that all funds from the baby pictures will go to charity.

It is no secret that Hollywood is one of the most competitive places on earth, and it is not just restricted to the A-listers and their wannabes. With the recent Baby Boom in Tinseltown, the competitive factor has trickled down to the next generation, with stars and celebs vying for a spot on the cutest or best dressed baby list. Seems a few have made the cut, with Suri Cruise topping the list for OK Magazine’s Hollywood’s Best Dressed Baby, where she beat out the likes of Violet Affleck and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, among many others. Shiloh ranks #2 as Best Dressed, Violet takes third place, and the rest of the top 10 company includes Willow Smith (7 year old daughter to Jada and Will), Reese Witherspoon’s 8 year old Ava, Matilda Ledger, and Harlow Madden. Of noted interest is that baby Aguilera didn’t seem to make the list, which is interesting because she’s become known as the most competitive baby mama in Hollywood. Oops, guess you need to do some shopping, Christina. But Suri has proved that her well-bred A, B, C’s – Armani, Burberry, and Christian Louboutin, have been instilled perfectly which earns her the top spot. And given that she’s seen munching on some raisins and a cereal bar, perhaps her next trophy will be for the healthiest eater as well. I gotta say, this is one little tot that gets cuter every minute, so couple that with a fashion icon mama, this is of NO surprise to me.

Monday was a big day for celebrity babies, and it’s only natural that the Tinselown Baby Boom would start materializing into cute little bundles of joy. This time around it was Matthew McConaughey and his fiancé Camila Alves who welcomed a little one, and Monday saw the birth of their new son, and first child for both. Matthew and Camila’s son was born last evening at 6:22 P.M. Pacific Time, weighing in at 7 lbs. and 4 oz. It almost seems like this pregnancy is one that never ended, they seemed to have been waiting for forever, but perhaps that’s just because they’ve been so cute about it the whole time. The two are deliriously happy, stoked and wowed even more so than they were when Matthew first blogged the baby announcement many moons ago. Matthew’s oldest brother, who is known as Rooster (not sure if that is the given name or not but….) is also very excited. He says it’s about time for Matthew and anticipates that Matthew will be a great father as he has a tremendous amount of patience. Camila, a model and designer of handbags is taking some time off to enjoy the little prince as she is simply focused on a peaceful home and a peaceful life. Many congratulations to the happy couple!

Nicole Kidman is seen here a couple of months ago, leaving the trailer of her husband Keith Urban at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennesee. At the time, Nicole was five months pregnant with her first child with Keith, and the more pregnant she’s gotten, the more she’s hidden under the radar. It may not be long now before you see Nicole again however, as she and Keith welcomed their daughter into the world yesterday morning. The beaming couple arrived in Nashville from Sydney, Australia over the weekend, and their little pink bundle was born on Sunday morning. The little princess is named Rose Kidman Urban, and was born weighing in at 6 lbs, 7.5 oz. Most of the immediate family was around for the arrival, notably her grandmother Janelle, and her aunt from Mommy’s side, Antonia. Nicole’s dad, Antony, stayed in Sydney to mind after Nicole’s children with Tom Cruise, Isabella who is already 15 and Connor who is 13. (My, where has the time gone with THOSE kids??) Nicole’s mom and sister plan to stay in Nashville with Nicole and the rest of the family for a few days, before returning to Sydney. Nicole and her husband Keith will be enjoying their daughter a little longer before they make the move back to Australia. Many congratulations to Nicole and Keith and Happy Birthday little Rose!

Nicole Richie is seen here leaving her standard court mandated traffic school, an education she is required to undergo after having been arrested for DUI last year. She’s seen looking pretty and hippy as usual, but has foregone her normal tight fitted tops and heels for a more relaxed dress with flat sandals. And it seems that Nicole has been wearing a lot of more um, comfortable pieces these days, a fashion switch that has sparked some pregnancy rumors. Her personal style is pretty as usual, but she’s made a definite change to looser fitting clothing and flat footwear. Some sources are confirming that Nicole is pregnant again with her second child, and from the sounds of it, not all that unplanned this go around. Nicole is in love with her new family, and has been wanting a baby brother or sister for Harlow for a while now, saying that she wanted Harlow’s sibling to be close in age so that they could have a close relationship. Harlow is still only five months old, so if Nicole does have #2 on the way, she will definitely have her hands full, but she doesn’t want her children to be more than two years apart so that they can be ‘best friends forever’. And, given that Nicole has not been shy about some of her more recent parent moments, typically about regretting the DUI and calling it the worst mistake she’s ever made, it could well be that the little bimbo from the Simple Life is growing up. Once again, what are the chances of any of this rubbing off on Paris? Mind you, Paris adding to the global gene pool is one scary thought, so let’s hope it’s just the maturity that Paris gleans from her BFF.

Here is Tori Spelling being seen sporting a fairly healthy post-pregnancy body as she heads out for a dinner date with her hubby Dean McDermott at Wolfgang Puck’s newest restaurant in L.A. Tori’s latest bambino Stella Doreen is just only a few weeks old, and Tori is looking fabulous in her new mom figure. And it seems that Tori’s money woes may be continuing, as she is cashing in on Stella’s newfound notoriety by bragging to the world about what an ‘accident’ Stella was thus earning more bucks for this PR fueled family. Tori is quite pleased to announce that Stella is the result of a birth control oops, claiming her to be an ‘actual miracle’. She had been taking the pill but wasn’t feeling well on it, so she asked her doctor to switch her prescription. Between the day that she went off of it, and the day she went on a new pill, a total of two days, little Stella was conceived. Tori truly believes it was ‘meant to be’. Tori has always wanted one of each, a boy and a girl, and now with Stella coming after little Liam I guess she finally has what she always wanted. But I have to wonder. What’s stupider? Bragging to the world that your baby was an accident? Or thinking you couldn’t get pregnant on a day you miss your pill? Hmmm…perhaps Tori needs to go back for some education and watch some reruns of 90210.
