She says she loves all kinds of fun music such as the old school stuff and things like Whitesnake even. Who woulda thought Jessica was a Whitesnake fan? But she does follow the trends, even with music and she says its not just because she likes it, but because she wants to know what people are talking about. And, when it comes to the differences between working on television or for the big screen, Jessica says that with TV it’s much more organized and this made her a little uptight. When working on film, the overall feel is much more improvisational and relaxed. She was thrilled then when she got the part for ‘The Illusionist’ and enjoyed it immensely. And yes, Jessica even dished with Marie Claire about her looks, and the ever present notion of keeping them youthful as long as possible. With any Tinseltown beauty, aging is one of her biggest fears, she worries over the littlest aches and pains and changes that come with aging. But if you think that this beauty is ever going under the knife to keep that pretty smile smooth and fresh, think again.

And even though she is somewhat of a high profile these days, she says she’s Zen about it because you have to be, otherwise one would go crazy. And if you are wondering how she spends her personal time? Yes, she definitely makes time for that. She even goes back and forth about marriage and children, but thinks of it in an organic sense. If it’s right at the right time in her life, it will happen. Right now though, these issues seem a little foreign to her. Oooooh! I’m sensing another high-end cat fight, y’all! Remember the good ol days when the Beckhams and the Cruises were BFF’s and did everything together? I am sure Posh and Katie even traded Birkins once or twice. But ever since the ugliness with UK Vogue last year, the two have had somewhat of a fashion rivalry and the BFF status seems to have lost its status quo. Here is Katie Holmes seen in a recent fashion *term used loosely* trend, as she has been out and about New York City all summer long sporting this look. Yes, Katie is desperate to bring the Wham days back it seems, with rolled up cuffs and loose ‘boyfriend style’ jeans. The truth is, these are more ‘husband’ style for Katie as she has been trying to revive this look, knowing that she IS a trendsetter, with hubby Tom Cruise’s jeans. Why rolled up? Because well, he’s height challenged when it comes to Katie Holme’s length. And so she rolled them up, got a lot of talk about the look, and decided, so what, she’s going for it. But even Project Runway has slammed her for this look, yet she STILL thinks she can bring it back. And she is going to prove that point by starting up her own denim line that mirrors this look. And she expects and hopes that it will rival Victoria Beckham’s, cuz she just thinks that they’re that much cuter. At present, Katie has about four prototypes for the line, and they all embody this relaxed fit, a term I am using which actually means frumpy and baggy. Many retailers refer to this look as the ‘boyfriend’ look. I can see it catching on only because many people will want to wear jeans that Katie designed, but this is by no means a trend that will last. Sorry Katie, pairing heels with jeans that make you look fat doesn’t slim you out. And this won’t work very well with the general public. It will create a buzz though, though I am not so sure the buzz will be enough to squeeze out the dVB line, a very well recognized and LOVED denim brand.

For those of you that know your Bond girls, then you are already very familiar with Olga Kurylenko. For those of you that aren’t, prepare yourselves because Olga Kurylenko is about to become the hottest thing in a Bond flick since Halle Berry and the infamous bikini. Oh yes, and you can find all about Olga and her experiences on a Bond set in an upcoming issue of UK InStyle where she provides a provocative photo spread and some dishing on her experiences working in the United States. Olga is no stranger to film, she is a Ukrainian born former model and has done most of her work overseas in Europe, having started as an actress when she was just 16. But when Hollywood director’s saw her perform in Europe, they knew she had just what it took to be the next hot Bond girl. When it came to working on set, Olga says that even though English is not her first language, she had fun with it, as the crew enjoyed teasing her by telling her wild stories that weren’t true. But when it came time to showing the goods, Olga definitely delivered and then some, having performed most of the stunts in the movie on her own. She describes her character ‘Camille’ as a girl that ‘kicks ass’, a trait required by a Bond girl, and she said to prepare for the movie she had to do weapons training, body flight training for her aerial scenes, and a lot of stunt work for the fight scenes. Her co-star Daniel Craig she adored working with, saying he was a very nice man, supportive, and encouraging. And on top of everything else, very funny. But as far as her ideal man is concerned, Olga runs into many of the same problems that we all do. She says she knows lots of lovely, intelligent men who would make nice boyfriends, but they’re all gay. Ah, well, welcome to America Olga. Rachel Bilson is QUITE the style maven and has set herself apart from many of the Hollywood IT girls by always being en pointe when it comes to trends and style. So it is no surprise whatsoever that she would appear on the cover of the hot magazine UK InStyle. It’s where all the IT girls want to be, but you know what they say, only the cream rises. Rachel delivered a smoking photo session for the magazine and honoured InStyle and her fans with some dish on her personal life. It’s about time is all I have to say. When it comes to being a star, Rachel says that she actually hates the attention, and considering that she’s an actress, some may find that strange. But I guess she just loves what she does, and she does it well. As far as style and trends and big time labels, yes, she is definitely a trend setter, but you won’t catch this girl spending too much money. She doesn’t often wear expensive things, and thinks that things like $1400 shoes are ‘crazy’….Rachel? She’ll wait for the sale. Not that she won’t succumb to the oohs of high fashion. She recently had the opportunity to meet Karl Lagerfield, the current Creative Director for the house of Chanel, and easily one of the most influential designers in the fashion industry. And Rachel experienced a little bit of her own star gasp, describing the experience as surreal, like meeting the pope, or the president, or a cartoon. (no difference between those three almost) One of her icons though that does inspire is, surprisingly enough, Victoria Beckham, the woman everyone loves to hate. But Rachel respects the fact that Victoria does her own thing and thinks that takes a lot of energy to pull off. And having been the Maid of Honor for her best friend recently, she kind of freaked out about the experience. With the groom being a writer and all, she felt some pressure to be funny. But the wedding itself confirmed a few things for Rachel. She’s not ready to settle down yet, with a man, but thinks mommyhood isn’t that far off the mark. Perhaps the next couple of years? And since she is heatedly connected to Hayden Christien, she says well, anything can happen. She says she finds herself dating actors because that’s just the world she’s in, it is who she surrounds herself with. As for Hayden? A totally guys guy from Rachel’s point of view, in the tractors and such kind of way. She is learning to play chess with *a certain someone* but *that person* happens to be very good and she doesn’t think she’ll ever beat *that person* but that’s her end goal. Ah yes, the style icons in Tinseltown have been waiting on pins and needles this week for the long awaited annual 10 Best Dressed Stars list of People Magazine. Hmm….who do you think made the cut? You will probably notice that there are few if any surprises, but let’s keep in mind there are only 10 slots to fill, and yes, I am sure there was some disappointment in Hollywood once the names were announced. Not surprisingly at all, Sarah Jessica Parker hit the list for probably her umpteenth year in a row, and was chosen due to her ‘expert eclectic style’ and I love that. Anne Hathaway has been wowing designers ever since she broke it big in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and she made the cut, along with Charlize Theron, Rihanna, Eva Mendes, and of course Kate Hudson. Heidi Klum hit the list for being ‘Model Chic’ and one surprise I noted was Fergie, who was described as a ‘Refined Rocker’. I don’t think she has any style ‘issues’ per se, however, she wouldn’t make a top 10 in my books. Another surprise came from Gwyneth Paltrow’s appearance on the list, and she was chosen for her evolution in the fashion world this year, having ‘revved up her classic look’ as we see here now less preppy and more in the thigh baring mini dresses and mongo heels. What DID surprise me the most was seeing Michelle Obama’s name appear, and her style was defined as ‘Classy and Confident’ and again, though I am not saying she is not a very well dressed lady, there were a few Tinseltown style queens that were probably a little pouty about being beat out by Michelle Obama. Those pouts I am sure are hanging on the lips of Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes, two infamously impeccably styled women that well….just didn’t make the cut this year. Sorry girls. Better luck next year.

Here is Jennifer Love Hewitt back on the set of ‘The Ghost Whisperer’ flaunting some of her *cough* size 2 curves on what appears to be windy day in Santa Monica. She looks all smiles to be back to work now that the writer’s strike has made its peace. In other Jennifer Love news, she’s on a list of celebrities that is making yet a stronger name for the high-end design label, Prada. Prada has just released the ‘Prada Fairy Bag’ and it is quickly becoming the It bag for top celebs like J Love, Sienna Miller, and Tilda Swiden. The bag is made of deerskin, and features artistic drawings of fairies in plum, earth, and black tones. Even with a price tag of $2290, Neiman’s was sold out in two days, but if you are watching your budget, go for the clutch version at a mere $300.

We’ve been referring to her as Katie as of late, because she’s really been keying into the mommy of 3 babies role very well. Until now. Katie’s alter ego Jordan made a comeback the other day when she promoted her new lingerie range fro George at Asda in London at The Worx the other day. Katie’s big coo this time in terms of publicity was having some of her fans from her fan club join her in the shoot, she wanted to ensure that ‘everyday women’ were modeling the lingerie. The push being of course for ‘everyday women’ to buy the product. Great idea from a marketing standpoint, but you have to know there was some inner motivation on Jordan’s part here. While Katie definitely look provocative, and even great, for a mommy of 3 babies in her own lingerie, she still has some obvious mommy handles going. So it is not surprising to me that the women she chose, well, most of them, did not ‘underrank’ her in the size department. What DOES surprise me though is that Katie Price has a fan club. A fan club of women that would actually make a public photo announcing they are members. Yes. The world works in mysterious ways folks.

Now I’ve truely seen everything… canary yellow underpants that scream Fruit of the Loom 6 pack! But, are being hailed part of a “RETRO” bikini. OK, fair enough, they’re not marketing it as a bikini, but rather a bathing suit. I’d be totally embarrassed sportin’ it since you know everyone’s wondering, what IS she hiding in there?
