Michelle Williams is seen here yet again hanging out with her daughter Matilda as they enjoy some milder temps in New York. And these days, Michelle has been out and about quite a bit, and the more she is seen, the more often we begin to see her beautiful smile. Yes, Michelle has had a very sad year with the loss of Heath Ledger, the father to her daughter, and even though the two had split up three months before he died, 3 months is not that long, and we know that she still loved him very much at the time of his tragic death. And though we do not know how close they were then, there are reports surfacing that Heath is trying to get closer to Miranda, from the other side. Yes, it has been reported that Michelle has actually been visited by Heath’s ghost, not once, but twice. She stunned some co-workers on the set of her latest movie ‘Shutter Island’ by talking about how Heath was ‘visiting’ her. She said the first time it happened, it scared her half to death when she was woken in the night by a series of eerie bumps, and then noticed that her furniture was being moved around. She then caught a glance of a shadowy figure who she is quite sure was Heath Ledger. This time she was scared, and even thought that she had imagined the whole thing, but when it happened again, she said it was much more vivid, and there was no mistake.

The apparition was much more vivid. I realized it was Heath when he spoke and apologized for not being able to help raise Matilda.

This falls into a fact or fiction story, not sure if she, or someone else is making this up. If it’s her, I don’t see her making up a story for publicity, and this may have actually happened, or her grief has caused her to believe this has happened. And, if it’s someone else, then well, some more PR for Michelle while she promotes her new movie isn’t entirely implausible.

Michelle Williams is seen in what has become her signature status these days as she strolls around New York with her daughter Matilda. Matilda was enjoying the love and innocence that a child does as she played in leaves and danced around the streets of New York, while loving and doting mom looked on with smiles. But it seems these days that there is still quite a bit of pain behind Michelle’s smile, as even though it has been ten months since the tragic death of Matilda’s daddy, Heath Ledger, Michelle is still struggling with grief. During a recent interview with Newsweek, Michelle spoke candidly about how tough it was to be a single mom to a three year old and how sad she still was. In fact, so sad, that even mentioning Heath’s name sent Michelle to tears. And as far as how she is holding up, this is how she described herself, and her grieving process.

I guess it’s always changing. What else can I say? I just wake up each day in a slightly different place – grief is like a moving river. I’m at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it (grief) just gets worse. It’s just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That’s what I would say.

And unfortunately, because people aren’t always very kind when it comes to celebrities personal lives, Michelle has gotten a little flack for her grieving process with Heath. Considering the odd twist with Mary Kate Olsen and her connection with Heath, and the fact that Heath and Michelle had split before his death, not many people understand why she is still so deep in grief. Let’s not forget folks the relationship two people have when they create a child together. Though nobody knows where the state of her relationship was when Heath Ledger died, nobody really needs to. Michelle has been forced to raise her daughter on her own, and she is doing the best she can with what she has been given. Her plans for the future include focusing on just that, her daughter. While she is currently working on an indie film, soon she will be taking a year off to spend with her daughter. When Matilda is ready for school, Michelle says she wants a routine life, with the plainest, simplest, most ordinary habituated lifestyle possible. And given the challenges that Matilda has ahead, having to grow up without a daddy, I am sure that Michelle is making a sound choice.

Matilda is the wee daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger who died last January 22nd as a result of an accidental overdose of prescription medication. And since Heath’s death, a big to do has occurred over whether or not Matilda would inherit any of Heath’s estate. This happens quite frequently when parents do not change their wills, and Anna Nicole’s children went through the same thing. But since this rainy day, a closed court ruled that the two year old princess would become the legal heir to Heath’s estate now valued at $20 million dollars. But that’s not all for Matilda. There is also a legal issue regarding an insurance policy that Heath had for $10 million dollars and Heath’s lawyer is suing the insurance company for death claims that have been unpaid, where Matilda is the sole beneficiary. Heath’s lawyer claims that the company is trying to avoid paying the claim but the insurance company, Relia Star has their own story. They claim that Heath lied on his insurance paperwork, and that they are still considering his death a suicide. The lawyer retorts back saying that no, if Relia Star had issues with Heath’s credibility, that would have had to have been investigated BEFORE his death, and that further, Heath’s death has been completely investigated and there is absolutely NO evidence or declaration of a suicide. But the lawyer doesn’t want to drag it out saying the suit could take YEARS to resolve, as Relia Star will be taking depositions from just about everyone they can in order to prolong the process. My thoughts on that? Well, you know the lawyer is in a rush to collect his contingency, but that’s about the only 9-1-1 I see here. She’s 2. She JUST inherited $20 million. And Mom isn’t exactly collecting welfare to support her. If it takes some time, so be it. She’s 2.

Mary Kate was seen here out and about in L.A. revisiting her grunge look. She was spotted in a casual T-shirt with a plaid shirt and some odd looking footwear and she weaved in and out of her errand running. But is Mary Kate hiding something other than good fashion sense here? It sounds like it as ever since the death of Heath Ledger, Mary Kate has been linked to the death, or to Heath, in a hush hush kind of way, and now some information is coming out that is strengthening that link. Mary Kate has definitely been questioned on her relationship with Heath, and particularly about his death. The bulk of her questioning has been surrounding the issue of how Heath got the drugs that killed him, and it sounds like Mary Kate knows a little something about that. Her lawyer says that she has already provided investigators with ‘relevant information’ but it doesn’t seem to stop there. It sounds like Mary Kate could have some information that will incriminate her, as she is now seeking immunity before she will cooperate with the investigators looking into Heath’s accidental overdose. Heath was found in his apartment on January 22nd by his housekeeper, and before she called 911, Mary Kate was the first phone call. Autopsy reports showed he had pain killers, anxiety meds, and sleep meds in his system. With the exception of Oxycodone and Vicodin, investigators have found prescriptions for everything in Heath’s system. But those two powerful pain killers were not prescribed to Heath, and this may be where the Mary Kate link comes in. At first she said she didn’t know where he got them, but now is seeking immunity so… Her lawyer’s statement is as such:

“Regarding the government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed,”

My only question is the obvious one, and I can’t be the only one seeing the elephant in the room. If Mary Kate is innocent and doesn’t know anything, what on earth would she need immunity for?? Hmm…

It is just heartbreaking to see Michelle Williams these days. Even though by all reports she is doing very well, happy and moving on even, you can still see such grief in her eyes. Like here, where she is arriving for the Synecdoche, New York premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. However, as sad as she may look, Michelle is putting some positive energy into her grief. Even though it’s only been five months since Heath Ledger’s death, she has been working hard to make sure he stays on his colleagues minds long after his death. And that he will. Thursday night at the 2008 Australians in Film Breakthrough Awards in Beverly Hills, a scholarship fund in Heath’s name was announced. Gregor Jordan, a director who befriended Heath during the filming of “Two Hands” announced Thursday night that a foundation for struggling Australian actors would be set up in Heath’s name. Heath was one of those actors in Hollywood who had to pay his dues, and Gregor recalled Heath’s early “broke” days when way back when, Gregor had to loan Heath some rent money. Now, Gregor recalled, as soon as Heath became famous, and ultimately wealthy, he remembered those days and would pay back in kind by always buying his friends a round of drinks. Gregor remembered Heath’s generosity, as did many of Heath’s nearest and dearest, and as a result, the Heath Ledger Scholarship Fund for struggling Australian actors has been initiated to continue Heath’s generosity, even after his death.

Michelle Williams has been way under the radar since the highly publicized and tragic death of her ex- Heath Ledger this past winter. Heath was also the father to her only daughter, Matilda, and it is no secret that Michelle was grieving him quite heavily. She has been throwing herself in her work, and it looks like it has paid off. Michelle was excited to have a chance to see her work on-screen in the red carpet premieres at the Cannes Film Festival. Michelle was there to premiere ‘Wendy and Lucy’ and also ‘Synedoche, New York’, a Charlie Kaufman flick co-starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Catherine Keener. During her time in Cannes, Michelle offered her first public interview since the death of Heath Ledger, and though she didn’t say much, it is nice to see her sparkling for a change. She talked about how great it felt to have two films going up at the same time, and how excited she was to be in Cannes at the Festival. She says it will be a great thing to look back on later in life. For the Festival, Michelle had to get reprieve from Martin Scorcese, who is currently directing her next piece of work ‘Shutter Island’ that she is filming in Boston, but that didn’t seem to be a problem. At the Festival, Michelle was all smiles and chatting happily, and with all of this work behind and ahead, her fans will be happy to see her in action again very soon.

Here is Mary Kate doing the high fashion thing as she strolls the streets of SoHo looking fabulous as ever. She may look happy now, but is Mary Kate hiding some troubles? It was no secret that when Heath Ledger died, he was having a pretty hot fling with Mary Kate Olsen. But was it more than just a fling? Mary Kate was actually the first one notified when Heath’s body was found, and she has since been carrying guilt over the incident. She reported to the Chicago Sun that she had strong feelings for Heath Ledger, and when the incident actually happened, there were a number of calls back and forth between Mary Kate and the now famous Masseuse to Heath Ledger (who found his body). All parties feel guilt due to the fact that paramedics were not called in a timely matter, but would it have made a difference? Heath’s body was found with an extraordinary amount of antihistamines, anti depressants, pain killers, and opiate narcotics. Perhaps even a few extra minutes would not have helped. And while noone actually blames Mary Kate for his death, she does say they were getting more serious, and while she is still grieving the loss, she may feel guilt for quite some time.
