Most know her as Heather Mills, but she herself prefers to still be referred to as ‘Lady McCartney’ even though she has totally been estranged from former Beatle Paul McCartney for quite some time. But it seems the purse strings are getting tighter and the holidays caused some tension for the estranged McCartney couple. There was a bit of a heated discussion at Christmas during the ‘child exchange’ a term frequently used by divorced and separated couples when they are going through the custody and visitation rituals. Heather was a little irritated with Paul when discovering he spent a truckload of money on their little 4 year old Beatrice for Christmas. She was especially ticked it seems since she didn’t really go as all out as he did. But, given that the man is worth about 850 million, I have to wonder why she would be surprised that he would lavish his daughter with gifts? She herself is said to be in serious money problems and has actually been pushing for a settlement to the divorce once and for all. Maybe that’s cuz she’s supposedly overdrawn herself to the tune of approximately 1 million. Hafta ask, how does one’s bank account really become overdrawn by a MILLION? At any rate, no word as to when the settlement will be reached but in the meantime the couple remains to squabble, Heather’s bills continue to grow, and as I am sure, so does Paul’s fortune. And the louder Heather gets, the more and more she starts to look like a crazy ex-wife.
