Superstar Hilary Duff is seen here with her oh too perfect boyfriend taking an evening stroll with her pro hockey player from the New York Islanders Mike Comrie. And this one may actually be true love because this is one of those more understated Hollywood couples that, while not on the spotlight too much, have actually been together for QUITE some time by Hollywood standards. And it may be because Hilary loves to dish about how she is just soooo lucky and has the best boyfriend EVER. The two are not just a cute couple, they use their fame for the greater good, and not in the ‘hey world, look what I’m doing’ Angelina Jolie kind of way. Understated seems to be the key to their success. Their biggest project as a couple is with the program called ‘Blesssings in a Backpack’ a program that distributes food to needy children in the public school system before they go home for the weekend. Food is the blessing that gets sent home in backpacks so that the children will have food over the weekend before they return to school on Monday. And Hilary is thrilled that she gets to do this with Mike. But he’s not just a gorgeous pro hockey player with a big heart either, as if that isn’t enough, he’s also a great boyfriend. Here is one of the examples that Hilary dishes about:

“He does special things all the time and surprises me. On my birthday, there was a very small group of us, and he got up and read a poem. It was like a funny poem, it wasn’t like super serious. It was so cute!”

It’s almost a little too much, right? No wonder the girl is all gushy about this one. I mean, a professional athlete, gorgeous, charitable, who writes poems? She forgot to mention…does Mr. Comrie have a brother??

Even the most private of celebrities can’t hide the dirty laundry when it comes to their families, and it sounds like Hilary Duff is just one of those. She has made it very clear in the past that her laundry, or her family’s, is none of anyone’s business and she will be one of the first celebs to shy from the personal questions spotlight. But when your own daddy lands in jail in a rather public manner, it’s not that easy to hide. Hilary’s family is caught in the middle of an ugly ex husband ex wife money fight, and the end result was just that – Daddy Duff in the slammer. It all started out when Mommy Duff, Susan, asked her ex hubby to fork over $25 grand for Hilary’s 21st birthday party. She thought it would be a simple go considering he had done as much for big sister Hilary’s party. Daddy Duff, Bob, wasn’t too thrilled about the idea considering he is paying Susan $10,000 in child support a month. Which is odd considering both Hilary and Haylie are self sufficient, but *whatever*. So Susan decided to take Bob to court to rake some funds from him, and some dirty laundry came out showing that Bob had sold almost $370 thousand dollars worth of stock without permission from his ex, Susan. I am guessing they must have been jointly owned, or something, but the charges for the stock sales ended him in the slammer for 10 days. Oh that, and he was ordered to pay half the funds for the birthday party, which by this point, seems almost moot, doesn’t it? But Hilary’s feelings about her dad aren’t that vague, if you have heard her recent ‘Gypsy Woman’ single off her Dignity album:

“got no shame/loves the fame/bringing down the family name”

Guess that pretty much calls where her family feelings lie. But again, why can’t Hilary pay for her own party? Considering she’s making more than her own MOTHER, evidenced by the fact that Hilary’s income of $12 million made the Forbes top earners list in 2007…it leaves me more than a little curious….You know, if you have to take someone to *court* to get a gift from them, perhaps they just don’t wanna give it? Non?

Here is Hilary Duff taking a break Hollywood style with some serious shopping on the famous celeb hangout Robertson Boulevard. Hilary has been quite the busy girl lately, so where does she find the time to get some plastic meltdown in?? She’s been on the promo circuit for her latest movie ‘War Inc’ and recently appeared on the Tonight Show with David Leno to promote her movie. Almost minutes after her interview, Hilary jetted off to Boca Raton, Florida to help some children in need. She visited Boca Raton Elementary School in order to help them launch their ‘Boca Blessings in a Backpack’ program, a program that will help meet nutritional needs of disadvantaged children and families over the weekends. Hilary was ecstatic to be a part of something so important, and it looks like her celebrity appearance was well worth the effort. The program in all obtained over $50,000 in donations that will provide food for the elementary students in Boca Raton. Aw, she’s cute, talented, and she has a big heart. No surprise there.

The stars lit up the red carpet on Monday night at the Tribeca Film Festival. The carpet was rolled out at the Borough of Manhattan Community College at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in New York City. And here is Hilary Duff dazzling the event with her super smile and her down-to-earth prettiness. Yep, this is one girl whose sweetness just doesn’t budge no matter what she’s doing.

Here is drunky drunk Hilary Duff after spending some time unwinding at the Hyde nightclub Monday night. And yep, she’s lookin’ like she’s put a few away over the course of the night but given what her schedule has been like lately, she probably needed the downtime. Hilary has three movies coming out this year, is on a world tour for her new album ‘Dignity’ and has also just released a clothing line and new fragrance called ‘Wrapped with Love’. But she still managed to find a few minutes to stop into Lucky Magazine for an interview and photo shoot. She told the folks at Lucky that her crazy schedule has actually helped her with her fashion sense as now she knows how to pull things together that are both unique and quick and work no matter where she is going. She designed her new fragrance with the same rules. It’s lighter and sweeter than her previous scent, and has a springy feel to it. She wanted it to be the kind of scent where you just throw on a sundress and have an easy, breezy girly day. Well, if anyone can give pointers on how to relax a little, it will definitely be Hilary.
