Hilary Swank is seen here just a few short weeks ago while she enjoyed some shopping and errand running on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills with her boyfriend John Campisi. Just this week however Hilary’s pretty smile was taken off her face when she started feeling suddenly ill and experiencing some discomfort and pain that landed her in the emergency room. Upon running some tests, her doctors found a small growth and she underwent emergency surgery to investigate the growth. The growth was removed and later determined to be benign, meaning non cancerous, and Hilary is now doing very well and recovering from the surgery. Reps aren’t saying much more than this at this point, we don’t know where her growth was or what was causing her discomfort. What we DO know is that she is back home and recovering and that her condition has been resolved and that she has no continuing health problems outside of some required rest and recuperation from the surgery. So it’s good to hear that the emergency health scare turned out to be something minor and that Hilary will be smiling and back to work in no time. Hilary is currently working on a new film called ‘French Women Don’t Get Fat’ where it is said that she will gain as much as 20 to 30 pounds for her role. Hilary is not only in the movie, as she will play the role of a manager of a champagne company, but is also acting as a producer. The movie is about a series of French women who eat high calorie foods and treats and never seem to put on any weight. And from the sounds of it, Hilary will play the token fat girl. But, until we get to see her in action again, we will wish her well and send our thoughts for a speedy recovery!

It seems that if Hilary Swank gets bad service, or something, she gets a little irritated. Or maybe she was just having a bad day. Here is Hilary Swank at the Century Mall in Los Angeles catching up on some shopping. She stopped for some Pinkberry’s frozen yogurt with boyfriend John Campisi, and something set her off. We’re not sure what, but the girl was definitely having a bad ice cream day. In other Hilary news, keep an eye out for her new flick, P.S. I Love You, in theatres December 21. The flick includes a star studded cast with Kathy Bates and Lisa Kudrow, and is about a woman who loses her husband, and spends a year getting over it with the help of her friends and post-humous directions from her lost spouse.
