Jessica Alba a VANDAL??
Monday, June 8th, 2009Jessica Alba is seen here out and about with her daughter Honor Marie and is looking so fabulous just a year after having her baby you almost want to hate her. But the word on the street is that Jessica may not be as innocent as you think. Though she is seen here having a standard mommy and me day with little Honor as they have breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien on Melrose, she’s been acting out in a very public manner recently that has left people saying “Jessica did WHAT?” Yes, it sounds like our little Jessica has recently been caught committing the crime of vandalism of all things, and it has raised more than a few eyebrows. But this was not some common every day spray painting the underpass, no, Jessica’s vandalism of course came from the biggest of hearts. She just wanted to save a few sharks, folks.
That’s right, Jessica’s outrageous act came from her big old heart. The situation occurred in Oklahoma City, where photos have surfaced that appear to show her defacing Oklahoma City property with posters of a great white shark. It’s gotten so heated, that even the police are involved. Police discovered the posters - aimed at raising awareness about the species’ declining numbers - glued to a downtown bridge and elsewhere, including a billboard displaying a United Way advertisement. Police Sgt. Gary Knight said that investigators have not interviewed Alba just yet, and it doesn’t sound like they are about to.
If you are wondering what the plausibility of Jessica even being in Oklahoma City could even be, it’s because she’s currently filming ‘The Killer Inside Me with co-stars Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson. As to what the real story is, hard to say on this one. Of course ‘her people’ aren’t returning anyone’s calls on the matter, so Jessica kind of took it into her own hands and actually released a public statement on the matter.
“I got involved in something I should have had no part of. I realize that I should have used better judgment, and I regret not thinking things through before I made a spontaneous and ill-advised decision to let myself get involved with the people behind this campaign. I sincerely apologize to the citizens of Oklahoma City and to the United Way for my involvement in this incident.”
Photos that apparently show Alba gluing posters and posing before the defaced billboard were posted to the site of blogger White Mike, but later removed. According to the site, the posters are designed to raise awareness of the dwindling population of great white sharks. An official with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department reported the incident to police Monday after spotting the posters and the photos on the Internet. Alba’s name is redacted from the police report because she has not been arrested or charged with any crime, as it seems all of Oklahoma has officially accepted her apology.
Under Oklahoma law, maliciously defacing property can be a felony punishable by prison time if the value of the damage exceeds $1,000 or more. So, while it appeared to be a big thing, Jessica being charged with vandalism, at the end of the day, the mountain shrunk back down in size as quickly as it came. Which is the believable part of the story. I mean, we ARE talking about Jessica Alba here.
