Jessica Simpson is seen here leaving Mr. Chow restaurant in Los Angeles, and it seems that lately she is resorting back to her Daisy Duke look with teensy denim hotpants. But it’s not just dipsy daisy style that Jessica is going back to, it sounds like she is going back to her old ways of stupid is as stupid does. And the look on her face here could be that she’s discovering that the world really does think of her as the idiot she is. Her most recent idiot stunt was pulled when she misread a home pregnancy test. That’s right. Despite the very clear directions on and in the box, Jessica screwed it up and for a brief moment in time thought that she was preggers with Tony Romo’s baby. News that in fact was so exciting to both Tony and Jessica that they immediately went and blabbed the news to his family during a recent visit. The news was not so well received by his family unfortunately, and a huge fight erupted due to the fact that they aren’t married. Tony’s mom was even reported as crying and saying ‘How can you do this to us??’. In fact, all of the stress and disappointment was for naught, as Jessica later had to admit that she had made a mistake when it came to how to read the test properly. Or perhaps, just read properly period. Sheesh. Only Jessica Simpson. Maybe one of these days she will learn how to read properly, and will have to make the bombshell to the family again, as reports are that she IS trying to have a baby. If it does happen, at least she will be well prepared for the Romo family reaction…..

Jessica Simpson is seen here enjoying some retail therapy while she shops till she drops in some high-end fashion attire. She went shopping at Bergdorf Goodman in a turquoise dress paired with Roberto Cavalli shades and Christian Louboutin leather print shoes. Her shiny red bag is from her own line of accessories as well. One would think that with such a bold statement outfit and some melted plastic at Bergdorf’s that you should have a smile on your face. So why the glum Jessica? It could be that she is regretting some recent statements that she made with Elle magazine where she gave a candid and startling confession that she is the victim of abuse of some sorts. She may have regretted it as soon as she said it because that’s all we know about it as she clammed up immediately. Elle asked her if she had been physically abused, and all she said was that she couldn’t talk about it, but that she’s definitely experienced ‘abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run’. Hm. Wonder who or WHAT she means. It also came out that her recent album ‘Do You Know’ is autobiographical, and an outpouring of emotions with lyrics such as

It doesn’t matter how he hurts you, With his hands or with his words, You don’t deserve it, It ain’t worth it, Take your heart and run.”

Jessica really hasn’t been in the spotlight lately, with very few people still even wanting to talk about her, so while not to minimize abuse allegations, this may be a PR coo. It’s very odd when a celeb makes a bold statement such as this but refuses to comment further. Particularly when her abuse allegations are coupled with statements that echo lyrics from her new album. Sounds a little promotion heavy to me, but hey….if anything comes of this, we will definitely hear about it.

Jessica Simpson is one of those pop stars that people either love or hate, and now that she’s gone country, it seems even those that love her have mixed feelings. Yes, Jessica has turned her career around a little bit and is attempting to make it big as a Country Western singer. But it sounds like its going to be an uphill battle for her. Jessica returned to the state on Saturday night at the Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, and was hoping to make a big hit with the Mid Westerners. Well, most of them love a good twang when they hear it, but they seemed to have been expecting something else from her, because yes, she was booed. And she tried to give them the down home feel by saying she’s ‘just a girl from Texas, I’m just like you’. Oh yes, I am trying to stifle the gags as I write…And yes, her main Dallas Cowboy squeeze of course was on hand to help her launch her C & W Debut, for which he was rewarded with a small shout out from his girlfriend who is anything but discreet. Jessica sang from her upcoming album, ‘Do You Know?’, scheduled for release in September, and made note that she was happy for the struggles she’s had this year, as it really helped her concentrate on her work. She was overly emotional given this is her first time on stage in many years and says her struggles have helped her create this new album. Lord help us. Does she even know what struggles are? And I’m not sure what she meant about the first time being on stage in 3 years, unless of course she doesn’t count her tours of entertainment overseas with the troops which have been going on quite a bit the last couple of years. Now, those ARE some struggles. But passing off boyfriend problems as struggles? Please! Needless to say, the response from the crowd was underwhelming. Shocking.

Sounds like there is a blonde cat fight brewing, as Pamela Anderson has a few words to say to Jessica Simpson. Jessica has recently been spotted lunching with her beau Tony Romo and sister Ashlee with hubby Pete Wentz, which, is all fine and good, but Jessica thought it would be cool to wear a red T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase ‘Real Girls Eat Meat’. Outside of publicity, what Jessica thought she would accomplish by the stunt is unknown, but Pamela Anderson, an activist for PETA is not too happy. She called Jessica ‘the B word’ and said in reference to her T-shirt, she wasn’t sure if Jessica was talking about food, or men. (says a woman who has been married HOW many times now??) Jessica has been slammed over the shirt for a variety of reasons, the most notable being that she was sinking low for a PR boost by wearing a politically ‘uncorrect’ slogan. Guess Jessica just doesn’t have it in her to do the normal low sinking PR stunt, otherwise known as a sex tape. Pamela on the other hand has been a vegetarian for many years now, and insists that it’s a good lifestyle choice for just about anyone and the blondes may go at it. Mind you, on the one hand we have a blonde who thought Buffalo wings came from Buffalos, and then we have another blonde, who is not as known for her charitable ambitions as she is for the girls she totes around her bevy of marriages. Ugly? No. Entertaining? Yes.

On again, off again, we can never quite tell what is up with these two. I guess they have finally decided to call it quits with the roller coaster and have firmly jumped back on the couple bandwagon. Jessica Simpson has been spending some time in New York recently, and Tony Romo caught up with her for some good ol’ fashioned southern love fests. But that’s not all. The happy couple could not be in the Big Apple without catching up with Jessica’s little sis Ashlee Simpson, and the cutesy twosome managed to find time to catch lunch with Ashlee and her new hubby Pete Wentz. My to be a fly on that table. All reports are that the couple were happy and cute with each other, and had a lot of fun hanging out with Pete and Ashlee. Jessica was seen grabbing Tony and doing a lot of giggling. But although usually quiet and shying away from the spotlight, Tony has not wasted any time speaking up about the rumors concerning their breakup. About the fact that Jessica’s father played a role Tony says ‘that’s laughable’. He cleared up any further rumors that his dad hates her dad and I guess everyone is one big happy family again. Now that we have THAT settled, it’s quite a relief. But I tell you. Ask me a year ago how much I would bet against a big time NFL player lunching with a Fall Out Boy? Whoo Boy! I would have lost some coin on that one!
