We have been following this cute foursome for some time. Nicole and Paris are BFF’s that love to hate each other, and love to love each other. They can’t decide how close they are so we’ve almost given up on them as BFFs. Then we have Nicole with her boyfriend Joel Madden with whom she has baby Harlowe, so they seem to be one of the more solid Hollywood couples as we haven’t heard anything about relationship strife between these two. Enter Paris and Benji, Joel’s brother and a couple that was touted as heading for the aisle one day. Of course we know that Paris and Benji didn’t quite make it that far, in fact, she never even got the ring on her finger, and they split up in what is sounding like a rather ugly split. And from the other side of the camp, Nicole can’t seem to decide if she is relieved that Benji is out of Paris’s life, or if she wants them back together, so much so that she is currently sabotaging any chances Benji is taking to ‘move on’. At a recent party at the L.A. Ecco Ultra Lounge, Joel Madden was DJ’ing, and Nicole was doing the supportive girlfriend baby mama thing. Benji Madden was doing the supportive twin brother thing and was also in attendance at the party. Of course, Benji was sans Paris and was seemingly enjoying the single life until Nicole got involved. As Benji and Nicole were chatting it up, a busty blonde in some kind of pletherette ensemble tried to divert his attention towards her, and Benji was all over that like stink on a pig. And onlookers described the entire event like this:

Benji was approached by dozens of ladies. Girls were trying to flirt with him… but Nicole kept getting in the way. She stopped every girl trying to take a photo of him [and] dragged him by the arm [away from the girls.

Of course Nicole had to rush off to Le Deux later that evening to meet up with Paris and give her the full low down, and you can only imagine how thrilled Paris was over that situation. And given that Paris has been known to be stalking Benji and not handling the breakup all that well, I wonder what kind of cat claws towards her ex are going to come out now. Or maybe just maybe, Paris will wise up and realize that yes, there is nothing wrong with simply moving on, and getting over it. And we all just wish she would.

Nicole Richie is seen here visiting the People’s Revolution store on Melrose Avenue this week where Lauren Conrad was filming scenes for ‘The Hills’. And even in her most casual wear, Nicole was looking fabulous in jeans and a white vest that she paired with a blue scarf, Hollywood’s latest must have. And things for Nicole have been fairly hum ho these days, she hasn’t been up to much other than mommy hood and finishing out her traffic school sentence from her DUI. She has even been in domestic squabbles, though nothing serious, with her fiancé and baby daddy Joel Madden. From the sounds of it, Joel has been considering getting another tattoo, but this is something she has put her foot down. Oddly enough, Joel wanted to have a tattoo of their six month old Harlow etched onto his tooth of all places, and Nicole reportedly lost her temper over the whole situation. He had said some time ago, promised even, that he wasn’t going to get any more tattoos, but when a friend suggested doing something out of the box, such as the tooth tattoo, he wanted to go for it. The tattoo would consist of a photo being etched on his tooth, and he wanted a face of baby Harlow etched onto his enamel. Nicole freaked, surprise surprise despite the fact that if it really became an issue he could have it later sanded off by a dentist. Joel is definitely not new to the tattoo game, and has approximately 10 at current count with most of them being on his arms. His first tattoo was that of an Irish flag, a tattoo that he and his twin Benji got just over the elbow. Is it surprising that Nicole would say no to this? Uh no, absolutely not. I think a tooth tattoo is kind of freakish if you ask me, and one of your child, even weirder. What kind of kid wants to grow up with that reputation? But it sounds like Nicole is really hunkering down into domestic bliss, and this is why she wants to control Joel’s wilder urges. She has even been said to be thinking about a second child. Though earlier this year it was speculated that her empire waisted outfits were hiding a baby bump for baby #2, it sounds like she wasn’t really pregnant at all. But she’s not closed the door on it, and says ‘if it happens, it happens’. Can’t blame her seeing as how fast she lost the first bundle of baby weight, she always looks great. But you know how it is when celebs say they are ‘thinking’ about having another baby. Yep. My guess is an official announcement will be in the pipeline sometime soon.

Here are Nicole Richie and Joel Madden out in Beverly Hills last night enjoying some quiet couple time. Nice for a change to see Joel wearing something OTHER than a DCMA shirt, and I have to say, though Nicole is looking super fabulous post-baby, she’s also looking a little tired, no? The happy couple stopped at Stella McCartney’s boutique for a screening party before heading home. Just recently this parental unit made it very clear to the press that despite all the rumors, there will be no wedding in the near future for baby Harlowe’s mom and dad. Joel was asked by the press if he’d be making an honest woman of Nicole, and he says ‘not anytime soon’. However, that is not to say that this coming Mother’s Day won’t be all about Nicole, and he is very exciting about planning something special and pampering her to death.

OMG…! Baby Harlow is so adorable. Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and baby Harlow make the cutest little family. I never knew how down to earth Nicole Richie is and her interview is so honest. It makes me love her even more! It’s so nice that she was able to turn her life around and say things like:

“I feel like a superhero. I have such a newfound respect for my body.”

Glad she kicked the anorexia, heroin, wrong-way driving, and that nasty little blonde parasite, emm…, I mean her BFF from The Simple Life, Paris Hilton. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that she doesn’t become part of the family!

I was totally absorbed by this article and couldn’t put it down. It’s nice how that happens sometimes when you’re riding public transit. Ooh! and some of Harlow’s favorite things: her “Rockabye Baby!” cd with lullaby versions of Radiohead and Nirvana songs for soothing car trips, the “Orbit Infant System” which Nicole says is “The best!”… it’s a neat version of a modern pram, a Hannah Montana poster because Harlow kept kicking while Nicole caught a concert while pregnant, and Nicole said “I hope it’s a girl!”, and “Born Free” baby bottles that are made without the controversial chemical bisphenol-A. According to Joel Madden, “We’re a Whole Foods family”. I have to agree, Whole Foods is pretty good. Heck, I feel healthy just walking by a Whole Foods store on the sidewalk. I’m so glad they’re doing so well!!!!

Nicole Richie has been working hard to be the best mommy ever, and took a break from her duties this weekend. And when this girl takes a break, she really does. Last weekend Nicole hit 4 parties in two days starting at the Eli Broad Contemporary Art Museum in L.A. Daddy bear Joel Madden was not far behind her, as the pair then made their way to the Clive Davis pre-Grammy bash at the Beverly Hilton. The dutiful parents left the party early to rush home afterwards to ensure little Harlow was well fed, and rested. But that didn’t stop them the next night as they hit the Entertainment Weekly’s Post-Grammy party, followed by a Sony BMG party. During the weekend Nicole was also spotted wearing a lovely gold necklace with the letter H, for little Harlow, and it was clear their priorities during the weekend were not as much the parties, as it was getting home to watch the little one. But phew, that made ME tired just reading about it. Starlets and babies and parties oh my! Never mind the time, where do these new parents find the ENERGY for all of it?

Both Christina Aguilera, 27, and Nicole Richie, 26, gave birth today @ the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA. It was a baby boy for Christina Aguilera and hubbie Jordan Bratman, and a girl for Nicole Richie with BF Joel Madden. According to reports about Nicole Richie’s daughter’s birth:

Harlow Winter Kate Madden was born Friday at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz.

“The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents,” says the rep, who confirmed the birth to PEOPLE exclusively. ~ People

As for Christina and Jordan,

“Mark Malkin of E!online reports that Xtina has given birth as well. We’re told it’s a bouncing baby boy!” ~ TMZ

Congratulations to both couples during this happy time!

When it comes to the holidays, celebs have a tendency to come out in full force supporting this cause or the other. In this case, it was Nicole Richie and Joel Madden who are not just names behind their Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation, but are actually active participants. Last Saturday, the couple hosted a party at Paramount Studios for approximately 200 families who have been participating in the Los Angeles County’s Beyond Shelter Program. This program helps the less fortunate to find stable housing in L.A.. Nicole and Joel opened up their big hearts to see that these families had an additional need met – a good Christmas. The party featured clowns, balloons, face-painting, and of course a jolly visit from the Big Guy at the North Pole as well. In addition to all of these festivities, Nicole and Joel handed out 500 Cloud B Cuddle Club teddy bears and 500 pairs of new Stride-Rite shoes to ensure that noone in the program went without this Christmas. Among the companies that donated generously to this event were Baby Center, Ultimate Life Giving, and Mama Sue’s Cookies. Give it props to this couple who are just a month away from being Mom and Dad and found time in their schedule to give and share with those that need it.

Here is Nicole Richie and Joel Madden while they are heavy in the throes of preparing for parenthood. Not only are they getting ready to be mommy and daddy, but this big hearted couple is also helping other parents do the same thing. Here they are at the Los Angeles Free Clinic the other day to launch their own charitable organization that will help parents who are less fortunate prepare for their baby or babies through the use of baby supplies. To start the organization going, Nicole and Joel donated all of the gifts they received from their baby shower for the foundation. I think it’s great what they are doing, as this is a program that is most definitely well needed in any major metropolitan area. And Nicole I have to add is looking so pretty in all her glowing mommy glory. Pregnancy really suits her, doesn’t it?
