It sounds like there may be some merit to the rumor spinning around that Lynne Spears is desperate to get her daughter and former son-in-law back together. Britney and K-Fed together again…nothing good can come of that I am thinking. The only thing worse that watching Britney and K-Fed get together, is having to watch them do it all over again. Ugh. But you know, this is what ‘close friends’ from both camps are saying. Kevin Federline sees Britney as his soulmate, the love of his life, and that he knows he has failed as a husband and wants a fresh start. And Britney from the sounds of it, misses him as well and says she just has never gotten over him. The two do acknowledge there is a huge mountain of issues to unravel before they will even consider it, so they have retained a counsellor to help them climb this mountain. And it’s not just Lynne Spears that is all over this one, Daddy Jamie Spears is as well. Yes, two parents with a vested interest in their daughter’s happiness, right? One parent is gouging her for conservator fees on a monthly basis, the other is raking in the big bucks from a parenting turned tell-all book, so hmmm, I DO and always have questioned those two. But the only thing that makes me believe there may be an inkling of truth to this matter is that neither Britney nor Kevin have really reconnected and moved on with someone else. In many cases, the reason this happens after divorce is because there are true feelings for the former spouse. So, while they’ve certainly been having fun playing with some casual acquaintances, they’ve never really settled down with anyone. Could be they really love each other, could be they’ve just been too busy getting their lives back on track for the sake of the boys. Could be they haven’t met anyone worthy. Who knows. But going back to K-Fed I can’t help but wonder if this is the beginning of another vicious and not so pretty cycle for Britney. I’d almost *choke* rather see her back with Ghalib again. Ok, that’s a reach. But you get my point.

Britney Spears is seen here looking more and more everyday like the diva that she used to be. She has been spending some time in Manhattan this week to work with her record label, and promote her new single, but she’s also taken some down time as well. Tuesday night she stepped out in this cute little black dress to attend the hit musical ‘In the Heights’ now playing on Broadway. And the way she is looking, she may have just shone a little brighter than the lights on Broadway, as Britney proves time and again that she is back for good. But Britney enjoys Manhattan, and it definitely looks good on her, but she enjoys it so much that she is considering a move to the East Coast. She misses New York and says that she wishes she had never sold her apartment here, but may make another real estate purchase and move to New York permanently. Of course there is no way she can do that unless ex hubby Kevin Federline does the same thing, as clearly the custody situation would prevent her from making a move so extravagant. But she has been talking to K-Fed and is hoping that maybe she can convince him to make the move. Now, if what we have heard is true that K-Fed is still pining for her *cough* *not* then it shouldn’t be a problem, right? Riiiiggghhht. But Britney will definitely make a move somehow, sometime soon, as last month she sold her six bedroom Malibu home for almost $9 million. And she loves the energy in New York, so a move to the East side may be just the thing for her. Mind you, if K-Fed considers it, I imagine that he in all his money gouging ways will want to do so for a pretty price. Just a hunch though.

You know how moms are, they just want their baby girls to be happy…no matter what. Even if that means getting back together with the man who worked very hard to make your life a living public hell, and then did everything in his power to take your babies from you. And Lynne seems to think that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline getting back together is a GOOD idea. And she wants to be the one responsible for it. She describes K-Fed as ‘kind hearted’ and ‘down to earth’ in her new tell-all and she seems to be hot on the trail to hook these two up again. Is it just ME or does kind hearted mean something different in Hollywood? Ugly nasty custody suits and demands by the ex for frequent psych evaluations don’t exactly strike me as something that would fall under the ‘kind’ category. But Lynne says that Kevin has confessed to still being in love with Britney. He has apparently ‘apologized’ to Britney for failing as a husband and wants a fresh start. And what makes the story worse is that these same sources are saying that Britney is thrilled by the apology and may consider taking him back. Believe it? Not this girl. At least not unless Britney is off her meds…which I highly doubt. I wonder how this alleged apology worked out…’oops, sorry I took the kids from you….forever’….or ‘oops, sorry I did everything I could to make you look like the trashiest mom in the world…but I DO love you’….Whatever. Lynne thinks the reunion would be good for the kids, and no doubt that is true. Every kid deserves to have two healthy parents together if its possible. Let’s stress on that word healthy shall we? Because we all know that when two parents stay together, even when they can’t stand each other, just for the sake of the kids, it is anything but healthy…for anyone. I hope things stay as they are. No wait, I hope Britney gets her kids back at least 50% of the time, and stays away from K-Fed as much as possible. Sheesh. Bad Bad BAD idea.

Yes, our girl Britney is back in town after spending some time with her sister in Louisiana following the birth of Jamie Lynn’s daughter. And while Britney was the victim of a paparazzi throng upon returning to LAX she was back to business almost immediately upon landing. Yesterday Britney attended a hearing with her ex husband Kevin Federline, a hearing that also saw the return of Britney’s first divorce lawyer Laura Wasser. Britney hasn’t had any overnight time with her children since her forced hospitalization in the looney bin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and the result of the hearing was that Britney was granted overnight privileges with her boys. Britney’s parenting coach also attended the hearing, and made statements on Britney’s behalf apparently, and all reports were that Britney’s attendance was ‘business like’, a much different situation than days gone by. The judge seemed pleased with Britney’s progress, and was happy to grant her the access she was seeking. Full details of the hearing are forthcoming, as to when she will be able to resume the overnights, or what other matters transpired, but we do have legal proof now that Britney’s definitely on the upswing. A full custody trial will begin in August, unless the couple is able to settle their cases amicably out of court, however, with the way things are looking, Britney will definitely be on mama duty again very very soon.

Ah yes, Tinseltown’s most favorite feuders have actually gone to Vegas. But no, not with each other. Though the story is an interesting one. The two just happened to be in Vegas this weekend attending to separate business and separate social affairs, and they even managed to navigate the scene without strangling, I mean, running into each other. Britney spent the weekend at a Cinevegas party at the Palms Place, and naturally, K-Fed spent some time at a strip joint. K-Fed was seen at Strip House just a few miles away from the Palms. But their evenings ended differently as Britney retired early for the most part, whereas Kevin was seen partying well past the 3 o’clock spot. Mind you, he may have been celebrating the fact that he’s been named ‘Father of the Year by Prive Las Vegas. What’s that sound? Oh just me laughing hysterically…..yes, Kevin was given a Father of the Year trophy by Prive Las Vegas and it was an honor that he told reporters surprised even him. Really? Perhaps he was just trying to match the look of shock on THEIR faces who knows. Meanwhile, just a few miles away, Britney was spending Father’s Day weekend with her cash gouger, I mean, father, Jamie Spears enjoying a low-key dinner together. It IS mind boggling however, that Prive Las Vegas truly believes there are no better fathers out there than Kevin Federline….Do they need their heads examined??
