The fabulous Kate Hudson is seen here with the almost as fabulous Anne Hathaway as the two film scenes for their movie ‘Bride Wars’. As you can imagine by the title, the movie is about a bridely situation where two best friends, Anne and Kate inadvertently book their wedding for the same day. And both of these actresses have had quite the time of it in terms of their personal lives so perhaps they were able to use that to add some angst to their characters. Anne was engaged to a con artist and endured a very public breakup, and you know, when breakups involve the FBI it can never be a good thing. When they involve the FBI and the media, you have to know there will be some bitterness to contend with. As for Kate, well, she has pretty much dated everyone in Hollywood at least once, and many of them she’s taken a second hit at, and she also has experience in the marriage realm through former husband Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson. You would think that both of these women would be a little bitter about marriage, but Anne insists that she still has the ideal of the fairy tale romance and still wants to ‘have it all’ one day. Kate on the other hand says that she highly doubts she will ever take that stroll down the aisle again. She says she really can’t say 100% but that she doubts it and that ‘it depends on who you end up with’. Uh yeah, do you think? I mean, ending up with the ‘right’ person is kind of *the point* of marriage is it not? Kate was married in 2000 but divorced her husband in 2007 and the two share a four year old son Ryder. Nonetheless, though Kate has some not so great thoughts about marriage, she has nothing but great things to say about her ex husband Chris.

I don’t regret a second of my marriage. Thank God for Chris. He made me partly who I am. We had a great time. We love each other deeply. We have an amazing son.

But if she ever did meet that elusive One, does Kate think she would change anything? Yes, she’d go on a honeymoon. Last time she got married she didn’t get to go on one because it was Christmas and she had to go to work. But that’s the only thing she would change. Maybe that and actually finding the right guy this time.

It seems that ‘needy’ is the word of choice that is being passed around Tinseltown these days when it comes to labelling the single gals. Jennifer Aniston has been pegged as needy, and now Kate Hudson is as well. And this is the sweeping explanation that the rumor mongers are providing in terms of the why’s behind mega breakups or over extended single time. Kate Hudson herself says she has the tendency to be a little clingy and has self-admitted to going through self-obsessive stages when it comes to mastering a potential conquest in the dating game. In fact, she’s even admitted to following a few of them as well. But she will be the first to say that she doesn’t like the clingy, needy, always need to call you type and so let this be a lesson learned to any potential Kate dates. Perhaps A-Rod may want to learn a lesson or two there if he is considering things with Kate like the world says that he is. Or actually, it is Kate trying to latch onto him, so I guess Kate has no desires to BFF with Madonna any time soon. But Kate sure does love to flirt, and at a recent event in Miami over the weekend, she happened to share a room full of oxygen with Alex Rodriguez from the New York Yankees. She was spotted wrapping her arms around him at one point and any time that he would lean over to talk to someone else, she would pull him back towards her. But maybe A-Rod likes the needy type, as he didn’t seem to mind, and most reports indicate that he enjoyed laughing and giggling and being just as flirty with her all night long. Hm well, I guess not many men would resist Kate Hudson, even if she were acting a little desperado, just goes to show that celebs really can get away with much more than us lowly folks can. Maybe this will go somewhere, but I highly doubt it. We all know that Madonna is one of those ‘hell hath no fury’ types and I can not see this sitting well with her, despite the fact that nothing *official* has been released on the Madonna/A-Rod thing. Maybe Kate should sleep with her door shut. And locked.

Kate is arriving into London to begin work on her next movie ‘Nine’, one she will star alongside stars such as Daniel Day Lewis, Judi Dench, and Nicole Kidman. But though Kate has many fans of her long list of credits and work, it seems these days more people are interested in her social life. She has been on again and off again with the zest of Cameron Diaz and has been with almost everyone in Hollywood it seems, and she has developed quite the reputation for recycling her boyfriends. Owen Wilson for example has been on and off her arm a few times. But it sounds like since she split from Lance Armstrong earlier this summer, her love life has been a little on the slow mo jo. Almost too quiet. But when Kate flew back to L.A. on a break from her London filming, it was suspected that the heat was picking up for her in the love lane, as she was spotted with Jason Statham at the Hotel Bel Air drinking dirty martinis with him. Kate’s ‘people’ say that rumors of the two dating are simply not true, but this won’t have been the first time the two have hung out together. Jason was also a guest at Kate’s Halloween party this year coincidentally enough. Now, while this is only two public sightings together, in Hollywood that pretty much means you are about to walk down the aisle so we will see what happens here. We do know that with Kate, the signature stamp of approval does come if she deems it necessary. So if you see Jason hanging out with her at her family’s cottage in Muskoka, then you will know it’s serious because Kate only brings the ‘real’ boyfriends there. Ask Owen Wilson, Dax Shepard, Lance Armstrong, Eric Lindros, or…well, okay maybe she does bring just anyone there, so perhaps that won’t be the best sign after all….

Kate Hudson is seen here doing the single mom thing as she takes her son Ryder out for a stroll in Greenwich Village. And awww….don’t they just look so cute together? Yes, this is a very different side of Kate given that our usual glimpses into her life are either on the red carpet or as she strolls from one man to the next in her life. And usually, these men she strolls with are past boyfriends to some extent. But yes, even Kate Hudson has some complaints about being a single girl, and even may fear, as most do, that she will be single forever. Her concern is that finding a man in today’s world is so difficult, and she does have a reason for that. What you ask? She says her tastes are just so much like other women’s that it is impossible to find one that is available. Ok, yeah, well, when you put charming, funny, handsome, and child friendly on the list you may be right. But she must realize that she is not dating the world pool that most other single women are. No, she’s not, she’s got the best of the best of the pretty people at her fingertips, and yet she still struggles. But still she says that most women are looking for the same qualities and thus, the competition is fierce out there.

Girls are so funny when they say what they look for in a guy because they always say things like honesty and humour. But that really is what I look for too - so I guess I am just like most girls.

I am just wondering what WORLD Kate Hudson has been in that makes her think she is like most girls, because she IS Kate Hudson because there is no other like her. But she says its tough, she got married young and was married for 7 years. So she’s only been in the dating game for 2 ½ years and she’s only had the opportunity to date three guys (yes we KNOW already, we’ve heard ALL about all THREE of them) and so she thinks its tough. Well, Kate may need a little lesson in reality. Most single women that are able to enjoy 3 relationships in a two and a half year period would think things are going pretty well in their love life. But the day I start feeling sorry for KATE HUDSON will be a long day coming. I am thinking (hoping actually) that she is just secretly pining for Owen again and this is her way of leading us all back down that track…again.

Ah yes, the style icons in Tinseltown have been waiting on pins and needles this week for the long awaited annual 10 Best Dressed Stars list of People Magazine. Hmm….who do you think made the cut? You will probably notice that there are few if any surprises, but let’s keep in mind there are only 10 slots to fill, and yes, I am sure there was some disappointment in Hollywood once the names were announced. Not surprisingly at all, Sarah Jessica Parker hit the list for probably her umpteenth year in a row, and was chosen due to her ‘expert eclectic style’ and I love that. Anne Hathaway has been wowing designers ever since she broke it big in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and she made the cut, along with Charlize Theron, Rihanna, Eva Mendes, and of course Kate Hudson. Heidi Klum hit the list for being ‘Model Chic’ and one surprise I noted was Fergie, who was described as a ‘Refined Rocker’. I don’t think she has any style ‘issues’ per se, however, she wouldn’t make a top 10 in my books. Another surprise came from Gwyneth Paltrow’s appearance on the list, and she was chosen for her evolution in the fashion world this year, having ‘revved up her classic look’ as we see here now less preppy and more in the thigh baring mini dresses and mongo heels. What DID surprise me the most was seeing Michelle Obama’s name appear, and her style was defined as ‘Classy and Confident’ and again, though I am not saying she is not a very well dressed lady, there were a few Tinseltown style queens that were probably a little pouty about being beat out by Michelle Obama. Those pouts I am sure are hanging on the lips of Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes, two infamously impeccably styled women that well….just didn’t make the cut this year. Sorry girls. Better luck next year.

Is this woman not aware of the fact that there are more than three men in Hollywood….or New York even where she lives with her son Ryder? Apparently not, and for those of you that had bets that she’d be trying to hook back up with Owen Wilson before the summer is out, well, you may have earned yourself some coin. Maybe in this case the third time will be the charm with this one, as Kate is reportedly attempting to reconcile with her ex boyfriend twice removed Owen Wilson yet again. And how this will go over, who knows. She broke his heart once, shortly before his tragic suicide attempt, reconciled, then smashed it to bits again to take a whirl with his buddy Lance Armstrong. Since her split with Lance, she has also been linked to yet another ex boyfriend, hockey star Eric Lindross. When that didn’t work out, she started ‘bombarding’ Owen with text messages and phone calls. Owen’s response? A little ‘frosty’ which is a heckuva lot nicer than some men would be, so I give him some props. However, perhaps they truly are fated to be together since he is actually considering a reconciliation. Owen definitely felt betrayed by Kate in both breakups, but it seems now his big ol heart has caved for the girl and he’s acting all sweet on her again. Owen’s friends (and I’m sure the rest of the world) are a little concerned, because he apparently genuinely cares for the girl and her serial dating always leaves him crushed. Well, I have to say, as much as I hate how she’s treated him, I have always loved these two as a couple, they DO seem perfectly matched. So let’s hope *fingers crossed* Kate has made up her mind for good this time.
