One thing you gotta love the Brits for is their unfailing honesty, and Kelly Osbourne is absolutely no exception. She has been under the spotlight pretty much all her life, and it is no secret that the past few years have been a little troublesome for her. The past year Kelly has been in rehab for her addiction to painkillers, and after spending some time in an Oregon treatment facility, she came out with a new lease on life, and a sense of humility that will aid in her recovery. Now, Kelly has decided to speak out on her addictions, and the behaviours that surrounded it and it is quite possible that going public with her life challenges will help someone else along the way. One thing Kelly has come public with is the extents she would go to in order to sustain her addiction to narcotic painkillers. She says that she has actually lost count of the number of times that she would deliberately hurt herself in order to get her hands on some pills. Last year, Kelly moved from London to Los Angeles, and says that she became such a zombie that she ‘couldn’t see tomorrow’. She would use whatever she could to sleep through the day and would add pot smoking to her narcotic painkiller high. She was so out of it, that her closest relationship was with the pizza delivery man. And, yes, she is embarrassed about it which is why she is telling the world about it. And her stint in Oregon has not been her only, as she has two rehab trips prior to this that can substantiate her drug use, but she does think that Oregon will be her last. She is at a point now where she acknowledges that drugs may ruin her life, or even kill her, and getting clean is a huge priority for her now. Perhaps her only priority. When she entered Oregon, she said:

I knew if I didn’t go into rehab I would die. I thought, ‘Thank God someone’s going to take this pain away’. I can’t honestly say I’ve ever been clean. I’m getting a second chance and I want to be present for it. I just want to be happy and anything is better than the way it was.

Kudos to Kelly for taking a stand for HERSELF, and for also spreading the message to the world that others should follow suit. Going public is extremely brave, whether you are a celebrity or not, so this girl gets props for using her challenges to help others. Our hopes are that she continues well on her road to recovery.

This is kind of a sad story. It seems like just the other day when I was saying that I was quite impressed with some of the changes that Kelly Osbourne has seen in recent months. She was looking noticeably slimmer, using much less of that hideous red lip stain, and she seemed to have her stuff together. But you know what they say, looks can be deceiving, and Kelly’s rise was short-lived, as she has been on a bit of a downward spiral these days. We aren’t talking Amy Winehouse trainwreck style, just yet. But she’s well on her way. 2009 has been a rough go so far for Kelly, as she started off the year by slapping a journalist . And recently she topped off her escapades with a recent check in to a Los Angeles rehab center for what is being said to be a 30 day stay. It seems that our innocent Kelly has been struggling with addiction even still. We know that she has previously been to rehab in 2004, and then again in 2005, for an addiction to painkillers. And it all stems from where she is ‘living’ says sources close to her. She divides her time in between both Los Angeles and London, and it sounds like those aren’t good places for her to be. On London, one of her friends says that flat out, London is very bad for her.

“It’s a very party atmosphere there. She just tends to get back into that rut when she’s there since her friends are there, and she’s just more comfortable there. The old party habits come back.”

Though we don’t know exactly why Kelly stepped back into the rehab mill this time, it is apparently to ‘address some personal issues’. Well, rehab can be a very personal thing…as can addiction. I mean, what else are they going to say? She’s a drunk? She’s a junkie? Uh yeah, kinda like what the rest of us are saying. But at the end of the day, this is one star that has the capacity to not go down the Amy Winehouse path, so we do hope she is able to pull herself together…in 30 days or less.

Sounds like Kelly Osbourne is engaged, and from what people are saying, she is engaged to be divorced. Perhaps she should just hire the attorney now and save herself some trouble later. But yes, little Kelly Osbourne is engaged, and here she is flashing her engagement ring during a recent shopping spree on Melrose with her puppy. And just how did the world find out that Kelly was engaged? Her boyfriend announced it to the world by changing his Facebook status to ‘engaged to Kelly Osbourne’. Ah yes, you can tell the age of an individual by how they handle such matters, and the teen demographic uses status changes within the realms of the social networking world to announce epic life events. And this is the case with Kelly’s boyfriend, now fiancé, Luke Worrell. Luke is a sweet 18 yer old and he and Kelly have been friends for a few years now. Well, more than friends apparently. Kelly has been wearing his engagement ring since all of September actually, and he made it official with the clickety clack, can’t go back, Facebook update. But of course, as we all know, many a man or woman has been dumped via the exact same manner, so keep an eye on Facebook pages if you are waiting for news on this one. And so some of this does make a little sense, because I have been wondering what has been behind Kelly’s polished look these days. She has become noticeably slimmer, and has cut her hair into a sleek polished pixie cut. That and she finally took the world’s advice and turfed that god awful red lipstick she was so fond of. The look, two thumbs up Kelly. The relationship? Ummm, let me get back to you. I am not too sure about this one, I haven’t exactly followed the relationship, but anything can happen here, though I am not optimistic. How long do we give ‘em before one of ‘em shakes it up on Facebook?

Kelly Osbourne made a bold move the other day, startling onlookers by removing her standard pale matte makeup and going for a fresher look, with a makeup free face. She was spotted arriving at the BBC for her Radio 1 show yesterday looking even paler than she usually does. She also appeared a little breathless, as Kelly came in clutching her inhaler. Kelly’s career in radio is only a few months old, and for her work she has already received a Sony Award for her teen advice show The Surgery that she does for Radio 1. As far as the new look goes, however, I am torn. I kinda like it, but then again, can barely recognize the girl without the clown face. No?

Here is Kelly Osbourne as she stares off into space and enjoys a lollypop after leaving the Hyde nightclub in Hollywood the other night. You have to wonder what she is thinking about while she is doing this. You also have to wonder what would make one get a lollypop after nightclubbing, yep, it’s always the first thing on MY mind. Speaking of staring into space, it seems that Kelly has no clue where her last tattoo came from. She has a keyboard tattoo on the inside of her right arm, but she simply can not remember when she got it, or why she got it. Her thoughts? “The sad thing is I don’t remember getting it and I don’t know how to play the piano.” Uh yeah, that is sad. And for future reference Kelly, these are the kinds of things that are better left INSIDE your head. She does remember the important things though. Kelly also has a tattoo of a padlock and key when Ozzy broke his collarbone, and it means, he’s got the key to her heart. Awww….group hug.

Kelly Osbourne has been on a health kick lately and as a result she has lost two stone of weight, which is the approximate equivalent of about 30 lbs. While she is really happy that she looks and feels better, she is finding that people are reacting to her differently simply because she looks different.

“I don’t like the way that suddenly now everyone likes me because I’ve lost two stone. Why was I a bitch before? Because I was fat?”

The unfortunate thing is that Kelly works in an industry that well, thrives on beauty, and sadly thinness is one of those things people are attracted to. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders, she should be able to rise above the shallowness. She does admit that recent pics of her for her role in the musical Chicago were airbrushed. Specifically they worked the chin in her photo and some area under the arm due to a tight corset. Now that just shows how real she is. Not many stars will admit an airbrush EVER touched their precious shots. Way to go Kelly, keep up the great work!
