These days with the hectic pace of life, having a new baby can be frustrating for just about anyone. But when you are in A-lister celebrity, with a huge career to juggle, media to avoid, and a brood of older children to attend to, new motherhood can be rather overwhelming. And such seems to be the case for Nicole Kidman. Nicole just gave birth to her baby girl Sunday Rose in July, and is finding the pressure of all that she is and has to be more than a little overwhelming. Friends of hers are concerned about her, as they watched her weight whittle down to ten pounds below her pre pregnancy weight at lightning speed. Nicole has also been said to collapse in tears on occasion under the strain of having to look fabulous, be fabulous, and be a great mom as well. The weight issue may have been the trigger to her emotional upheaval, as desperate to get back to work again, Nicole understood that at her age, skinny girls are going to get the parts first no matter where you fall on the A list. She dropped ALL of her pregnancy weight within a week of having Sunday, and has kept on the diet bandwagon and is now ten pounds lighter than her pre-baby weight of 125. Rehearsals for her new musical ‘Nine’ began just a few weeks of her delivery as well, and she is dancing up to three hours a day, training with a trainer, and also jogging, swimming, yoga, and Pilates as WELL. I get tired just reading all of that, no wonder she is collapsing from it all poor thing. To make matters worse, Nicole is not sleeping well, getting less than four hours of rest a night, as any mother would be the same with a newborn in the fold. Nicole is reputed to be a perfectionist and wants to be the perfect everything – mom, actress, wife, you name it. And the pressure seems to be peaking. When you add post baby hormones, a workout regime like hers, and lack of sleep, anyone would crack, or at least want to. Perhaps a doctor should be stepping in on this one. She is not exactly a short girl and towers near the six feet mark. Even ten pounds ago at 125 is pushing it a bit too lean even for an A-lister. Scary skinny? Yep. And it doesn’t sound like it’s getting better.

Ah yes, the birth of all of these Hollywood babies is bringing out the love in everyone….even for the ex-spouses of the new mamas. Just to show how magnamonious they are, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have overextended themselves in a way to show how happy they are for Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s new little princess Sunday Rose. Original reports were that Tom and Katie were falling all over themselves to bestow love on the new arrival, and that Tom had sent his ex-wife a ‘room full of flowers’. Seems that wasn’t the case, but Tom and Katie have teamed up to send a gift from the both of them. And of course, it is designer rated and includes high-end baby products. The couple sent a huge baby basket over to Nashville to show their congratulations, a basket that included chenille Giraffe baby blankets, and items from the Hermes baby line. Because every new baby needs a Birken I guess, or at least to get a jump start on the waiting list. But it’s nice to see that even the most bitter exes who once spewed hatred at each other can grit their teeth and smile and offer blessings to the newborn. How big of them. Oh and yes, it’s great publicity too!

Nicole Kidman is seen here a couple of months ago, leaving the trailer of her husband Keith Urban at the Country Music Awards in Nashville, Tennesee. At the time, Nicole was five months pregnant with her first child with Keith, and the more pregnant she’s gotten, the more she’s hidden under the radar. It may not be long now before you see Nicole again however, as she and Keith welcomed their daughter into the world yesterday morning. The beaming couple arrived in Nashville from Sydney, Australia over the weekend, and their little pink bundle was born on Sunday morning. The little princess is named Rose Kidman Urban, and was born weighing in at 6 lbs, 7.5 oz. Most of the immediate family was around for the arrival, notably her grandmother Janelle, and her aunt from Mommy’s side, Antonia. Nicole’s dad, Antony, stayed in Sydney to mind after Nicole’s children with Tom Cruise, Isabella who is already 15 and Connor who is 13. (My, where has the time gone with THOSE kids??) Nicole’s mom and sister plan to stay in Nashville with Nicole and the rest of the family for a few days, before returning to Sydney. Nicole and her husband Keith will be enjoying their daughter a little longer before they make the move back to Australia. Many congratulations to Nicole and Keith and Happy Birthday little Rose!

What was it, five minutes ago we were just talking about this? Yep. Another A-lister hits the B list, in the Baby on the Way sense. Nicole Kidman and her hubby country crooner Keith Urban have recently announced the pregnancy of their first child together earlier this month. The pair were spotted recently on day 8 at the Australian Open 2008 at Melbourne Park to watch the fourth round match against Lleyton Hewitt of Australia and Novak Djokovic of Serbia. No telling how far along, or when she is due, but she is certainly one of those women that just look gorgeous no matter where she is or what condition she’s in. She has that old Hollywood glamour thing going that, were she not such a sweetheart, would make us really want to hate her. However, a sweetheart she is and we wish Nicole, Keith, and bambino on the way nothing but the best.
