Here is Nicole Richie hanging out outside of the DCMA store in Los Angeles this week. She was joined by her boyfriend and baby daddy Joel Madden and his brother Benji at one point. And it seems that Joel is going to have to keep the boyfriend title, at least for a little while, as it seems that the happy parenting team are not headed down the aisle any time soon. Both partners say that they don’t have plans for that right now, but that they are just enjoying their daughter, enjoying being a family, and just enjoying happiness. They say marriage means something different to everyone…..not sure what that means, marriage since the general concept is pretty consistent straight across the board, but they are Tinseltown’s favorite hippy pair, aren’t they? It seems that all they want to focus on is ‘happiness’ and ‘being happy’ and ‘making each other happy’. Perhaps they’ve been in Hollywood too long since, for most people, that IS what marriage is all about. Good that they aren’t rushing then!

Here are Nicole Richie and Joel Madden out in Beverly Hills last night enjoying some quiet couple time. Nice for a change to see Joel wearing something OTHER than a DCMA shirt, and I have to say, though Nicole is looking super fabulous post-baby, she’s also looking a little tired, no? The happy couple stopped at Stella McCartney’s boutique for a screening party before heading home. Just recently this parental unit made it very clear to the press that despite all the rumors, there will be no wedding in the near future for baby Harlowe’s mom and dad. Joel was asked by the press if he’d be making an honest woman of Nicole, and he says ‘not anytime soon’. However, that is not to say that this coming Mother’s Day won’t be all about Nicole, and he is very exciting about planning something special and pampering her to death.

Yes yes, we may just have an overexuberant grandma on our hands. OR at the ripe age of three months, Nicole Richie’s daughter Harlow may have uttered her first words. When grandma was holding her the other day, Harlow apparently said ‘Hi!’ (with the exclamation mark). Nicole was there of course and said…’I don’ think she knew what she was saying’. But Brenda, Harlow’s grandmum says, Nicole talks to her all the time and Harlow tries to answer back. Brenda also says Harlow is trying to crawl already, a stage that generally doesn’t happen until the 8 or 9 month mark. But this is not abnormal, many if not most grandparents get very excited at the littlest advances in development, that these little things look much bigger than they are. OR Nicole Richie has a genius on her hands. What would the odds on THAT be?

We finally get a sneak peek at the latest love in Nicole Richie’s life, little baby Harlow. Nicole was seen doing the mommy thing last Friday with little Harlow as they head out to a friend’s children’s party in Beverly Hills. And of course, this fashion icon looked anything BUT the traditional soccer play date mom, even though she was casually dressed in stretch pants and grey v-neck top, all accessorized with her signature oversized glasses. Yes, gotta hate it when moms can look this glamorous, even on a casual baby play date. Nicole seems to be doing a wonderful job balancing life, motherhood, and now even work as she is in the works of setting up her own jewelry line. She says all the people she’s working with to make it happen are really great, and are happy to work around her feedings with Harlow. Who I have to say, is going to be ending up on some cutest baby lists in no time at all. That little Harlow already looks like a heartbreaker, and my, is it just me, or does she look like she’s growing like a weed already!
