Hm, I wonder if Ashlee Simpson read about our chortles and the fact that she was in her eleventh trimester the other day, because it seems she hopped on THAT bandwagon as soon as I said something. And yes, the time has finally come for Ashlee Simpson and her hubby Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz to have their bouncing baby boy. Yesterday Ashlee went into labor and gave birth to her little boy at Los Angeles Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Their son was born last night, and weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. Ashlee and the little guy are doing very well, all toes and fingers accounted for, and everyone is healthy and glowingly happy. And if you are thinking these two rockers are going to make odd parents, you’re right! They’re an odd couple to begin with, but you can help but feel the love that oozes from their happy little pores, can you? But Pete thinks he has it covered. He gets parenting advice from his best bud Joel Madden, who has 9 month old Baby Harlow with his girlfriend Nicole Ritchie. And Pete thinks it’s awesome to have someone his own age to go to for parenting advice. But Pete and Ashlee will do just fine, because they have all the love in the world to share with their little one. Oh and yes, a name has been established. Bronx Mowgli is their baby boy’s name. Yes, Mowgli.

Has Ashlee Simpson not been pregnant for forever it seems? It seems just like she is in her twelfth trimester by now or that she should be pregnant with a two year old. But Ashlee Simpson is nine months pregnant and for some time now she has been at the ‘any day now’ stage. So Ashlee, and the rest of the world are waiting with baited breath for her little bundle. And of course, because Jessica Simpson is so under the radar, she had to get out and talk about just how pregnant Ashlee is. In an interview with Ellen this past Monday, Jessica said that it looks like Ashlee is going to have to induce her labor. Jessica said ‘they’re going to have to’ and that it is ‘happening very quick’. In the meantime, Ashlee is trying just about everything to get the ball rolling naturally. She’s trying alternative foot massage therapy, jumping up and down, and probably just about every wives tale to induce labor that has been told. But she remains pregnant. And yes, this is despite the fact that her hubby Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz posted a message on his web page that there was some ‘breaking news’ that kept him from appearing on Larry King. The verdict is still out on what the breaking news was, perhaps he just needed to stay in for a marathon of Twilight, but who knows. And while they are biding their time until the arrival, they are going over baby names as this is one thing they have yet to agree on. More than likely, these two trend setters will come up with something witty and clever with some pop culture twist to it. I don’t know….how about Megatron? You could use that for either a boy, OR a girl!

A very pregnant Ashlee Simpson and her hubby Pete Wentz are see having some last minute couple time while they await the birth of their little bambino. They went to see the musical ‘Wicked\ on Hollywood Boulevard earlier this month. And with Ashlee’s baby due any day now, this may have even been their last official date as a couple before they become parents. Pete Wentz has reported that Ashlee is actually due to deliver their baby ‘any minute’ and that he is now on baby daddy call as she could go any time. He says she is at the very end and anything can happen on any day, so we can expect to hear an announcement very soon. Mind you, Ashlee is a first time mom and first timers can have a tendency to go overdue, but with these things, you just never know. In the meantime, to distract himself, Pete is attempting to set a world record for the most radio interviews in a 24 hour period with his band mate Patrick Stump in a contest that is taking place today. Because…..when you are on call and your very pregnant wife could go into labor at ANY second, marathon record breaking activities is a smart thing to do?? Hmm….At any rate. Pete says Ashlee is doing well overall and that she can’t wait to be a mom. He thinks it’s cute how she is hot all the time and their thermostat is set to 34 degrees to keep her comfortable. He says she is not just excited about being a mom, but can’t wait to not be pregnant anymore. She struggles to go up and down stairs, and can’t stand going out in public if she doesn’t have to. The two have not chosen a name and do not wish to do so until after the birth, a concept many parents choose to wait on until they meet their little one and see their face. But a friend of the pair offers some sage advice,

“you’ve gotta have a baby with a name that could be a rock star or a senator, so he’ll get work either way.”

And well, since Apple and Coco are already taken, that may be good advice after all. We look forward to hearing Ashlee and Pete’s big announcement.

And this occasion was just days after the Ashlee celebrated her 24th birthday this past weekend with all of her nearest and dearest. And even though she is about as pregnant as it gets, she looks like she is about to pop any day now, Ashlee managed to highlight her fun side for her Friday night birthday party. Ashlee decided to hunker down with her deep southern roots and go for a ‘White Trash’ theme for her birthday, and asked all of her guests to dress in costume in white trash regalia. Ashlee’s costume included Daisy Duke shorts, flip flops, a batting suit, and a fake tattoo on her preggo tummy. Attendees included super dad Joe Simpson, and of course the former Daisy Duke, Jessica Simpson. Jessica didn’t seem to have an issue at all deciding what to wear, and came in a leopard print dress that showed the world her cleavage. Yes, shocking isn’t it? Daddy Simpson wore a cut-off muscle T-shirt, so you know he couldn’t have been TOO much into the theme, because we ALLL know what the real white trash folks call those. And, to top it off, the white trash menu include corn dogs, macaroni and cheese, French fries, and chicken fingers. Other guests included Christina Aguilera, Nicole Richie, and Joel Madden. And this is just one of many of Ashlee’s theme parties, as her guests are well accustomed to dressing unusually for an Ashlee event. Last year it was an 80’s prom theme, and included poofy princess dresses, vintage tuxedos, and naturally, fingerless gloves. This year though, with Ashlee about to have her baby within the month, the night ended early, but left the guests looking forward to what Ashlee will cook up for them next year.

It sounds like Pete Wentz and Ashlee Wentz are going to have their hands full this Fall as from the sounds of it, Ashlee and Pete are expecting a double bundle. Ashlee was initially rumoured to be having a boy, but now it is said that she is expecting twins, according to Pete Wentz’s pal Tyga. Tyga may not have been the first to leak the rumor, but he did mention to E! Online that Pete and Ashlee are having twins and that they are over the moon about it all. This leak fell in play shortly after Pete made a slip in a radio interview when he referred to the baby as ‘them’ causing widespread speculation within the radio airwaves vicinity. Ashlee’s reps on the other hand are disputing the rumor, saying that it’s simply not true so who knows what is going on here. And if you are wondering how Ashlee manages to always look so picture perfect even during hot and heavy pregnancy days, she says it’s not just the pregnancy glow. She chalks it up to the three B’s – Boobs, Belly, Booty. She chooses attire that flatters these areas as much as one dress could, and says when it comes to dresses specifically, you have to choose ones that don’t stick to your tummy. She’s not one of those pregnancy mamas that will mold her belly for the whole world to see. And since she is establishing herself as quite the fashion icon, her advice is worth its weight in gold I would say.

This may be news but I don’t think it’s surprising to anyone. Ashlee Simpson has had a whirlwind couple of months what with a new album, new marriage, and now new baby on the way. And I guess she’s decided to call it a day, at least for a little while, and is taking a break and putting her summer tour on hold. The tour was to promote her new album, but she doesn’t think she’d be able to give her fans the best of Ashlee. She promises that when she comes back, she will be better than ever for her fans. And here she is showing just how relaxed she is with her new hubby Pete Wentz as they spend some time goofing around at a Memorial Day party in Los Angeles. Pete’s hiding from the paps with a plate over his face that says ‘Your Ad Could be Here’ which is kind of funny that he’s, albeit jokingly, asking for endorsements when the happy Wentz couple just sold their wedding shots to People Magazine for a sweet $1.4 million. Maybe with that extra padding in the bank Ashlee is not too worried about the tour dollars, and hence, yet another reason to call for a break.
