Jennifer Hudson has certainly been under the microscope this year with all of the press that has surrounded her and her family following the double murder that occurred with the Hudson’s earlier this year. And yet despite the fact that all eyes have been on her all year long, Jennifer has still managed to keep her private life private and has even been keeping a few juicy tidbits from her adoring fans. It sounds like Jennifer Hudson is in fact about to be a mommy, as a baby shower that was held quietly in Chicago this past weekend ended up being not so quiet with the cat coming out of the proverbial bag on this one. So Jennifer can add mommy to her resume, and will probably place that as a prize role over her Grammy and Oscar wins as well. One of Jennifer’s longest friends, Felicia Fields confirmed to the Chicago Tribune this weekend that Jennifer is about 7 months pregnant and a shower was held for her with just friends and family to celebrate. 7 months?! Wow, that’s got to be a record for keeping baby a secret in Hollywood, even Jessica Alba couldn’t go that long. Nonetheless, Jennifer is looking radiant as ever, and whether she will have a boy or a girl remains to be seen. Good chum Felicia was keeping that all mum and said most gifts at the shower were neither pink nor blue, but mostly yellow. We do know that Jennifer is engaged to long time beau and Harvard-educated-lawyer-turned-wrestler David Otunga, and surprise surprise, they have also kept mum about her upcoming wedding date. If you are waiting for more Jennifer juice, it shouldn’t be too long now, particularly if she really is at the 7 month mark. No sooner will we announce her pregnancy than we will announce the birth as well. We wish both David and Jennifer many congratulations as they count down the days to their pending arrival, and can’t wait to hear wedding details as soon as they are ready to spill!

It’s been a while since we heard too much from Anne Heche, but it isn’t because she hasn’t had anything going on in her life. She is seen her with her boyfriend and former ‘Men In Trees’ star James Tupper as they take her son Homer out for some grocery running in Los Angeles. And by the looks of it they are one big happy family, and it sounds like their big happy family is about to grow. Anne has just announced that she is pregnant with her first child with James and they are all very excited about it. Of course we know that Anne and James met on the set of Men In Trees, and they did so while Anne was still married to Coleman Laffoon.

Since then, her marriage to Coleman has ended, and she and James seem to be living happily ever after. And what is going on with these two, because James himself was also married at the time that these two started their romantic affairs, so are these two cheaters? Or simply soulmates that were meant to be together after previously having been in the wrong relationship. James says,

Angelina Jolie and her hubby Brad Pitt are seen clinging to each other for dear life as they are rushed through a throng of paparazzi when they are leaving the elite Claridge’s Hotel in London the other day. The happy couple were on their way to a special viewing of Angelina’s film ‘The Changeling’. You gotta wonder, how many times these souls have to watch their own movies over and over again, as this must be the umpteenth public viewing of the film that Angelina has attended.

At any rate, the couple look picture perfect as usual, almost too much so, as they even have a mannequin like appearance to me, and Angelina is dressed in her post-baby signature black attire. It could be that she just hasn’t lost the weight from the twins pregnancy and is using black to slim her out, or it could be true that she is trying to appear thinner as she prepares for another long haul of pregnancy. It seems that ever since Angelina has come public following the birth of her twins she has been following one pregnancy rumor after the other. And every time the rumor comes out, it’s just that. Until now that is. We are hearing news that the pregnancy rumor at this point has reached the ‘confirmed’ status.

Has Ashlee Simpson not been pregnant for forever it seems? It seems just like she is in her twelfth trimester by now or that she should be pregnant with a two year old. But Ashlee Simpson is nine months pregnant and for some time now she has been at the ‘any day now’ stage. So Ashlee, and the rest of the world are waiting with baited breath for her little bundle. And of course, because Jessica Simpson is so under the radar, she had to get out and talk about just how pregnant Ashlee is. In an interview with Ellen this past Monday, Jessica said that it looks like Ashlee is going to have to induce her labor. Jessica said ‘they’re going to have to’ and that it is ‘happening very quick’. In the meantime, Ashlee is trying just about everything to get the ball rolling naturally. She’s trying alternative foot massage therapy, jumping up and down, and probably just about every wives tale to induce labor that has been told. But she remains pregnant. And yes, this is despite the fact that her hubby Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz posted a message on his web page that there was some ‘breaking news’ that kept him from appearing on Larry King. The verdict is still out on what the breaking news was, perhaps he just needed to stay in for a marathon of Twilight, but who knows. And while they are biding their time until the arrival, they are going over baby names as this is one thing they have yet to agree on. More than likely, these two trend setters will come up with something witty and clever with some pop culture twist to it. I don’t know….how about Megatron? You could use that for either a boy, OR a girl!

It is probably the biggest fear that strikes the heart of any teenaged girl when she first finds out that she is pregnant. Things like diaper changes, middle of the night feedings, and how am I going to pay for all of it are some of the last things that enter a girl’s mind when she ‘gets in trouble’. Or if they are, these matters do not take precedence over the first chilling fear ‘How am I going to tell my mom? She’s going to KILL me!’ When you are a celebrity with Spears as your last name, things are not any different. Lynn Spears is hot on the promo trail right now for her new book ‘Through the Storm’ where she dishes about every family secret. And it hasn’t gone over with the family that well, nor would it for any family whose laundry was aired as a means of pushing their own fame forward. But nonetheless, what is done is done, and the same goes for Jamie Lynn Spears who is handling mommyhood just fine, but it was not without some angst. Lynn Spears spoke on NBC’s Today show yesterday to spill the dirt on how she found out that Jamie Lynn was pregnant. No, it wasn’t a sit down heartfelt talk between mother and daughter, it came through a note. Like any teenaged girl, Jamie Lynn was so scared to tell her mom that she couldn’t even tell her to her face. She wrote in a note that she was pregnant but that ‘everything was gonna be OK, mom’, gave it to her mom and asked her to go to her bedroom to read it. At first Lynne thought it was a joke, but when she realized that baby daddy Casey Aldridge could not even look her in the eye, she knew it was real. And Lynne is the first one to take blame for this, almost to the point that she takes on blame for all mothers in America, saying things like ‘What did I do? We just had this talk a month ago’ and on and on. Lynne admits that she was in shock, and even cried when she found out but knows that Jamie Lynn will be a great mom and is already a fabulous mom. Teenaged motherhood can not be easy, and when your every move is in the public eye, I am sure it is even more difficult. But the Spears girls prove over and over again that if nothing else, they are strong, and they are resilient. And while Lynne may have a tough time with guilt and blame for some of their choices and mistakes, she must know that they learned that from somewhere.
