Rachel Bilson has become very well known for her long standing love affair with fashion, and it seems that no matter where she goes, she always looks immaculately styled to the tee. Here she is spotted visiting a friend at Piero hair salon on Main Street, and she is looking fabulous in some chic crisp pants, a boho styled blouse that she pairs beautifully with a tailored menswear vest. You never know what you are going to get with this one. And even though she is giddy with excitement over her pending marriage with long time boyfriend Hayden Christensen, she still gets a little modest about it all and was seen hiding her left hand and major bling in the pocket of aforementioned chic pants. But, it may just be that she has other things on her mind, as it sounds like Rachel’s already full plate is getting even fuller. And if you like her taste and style, it will be good news for you since she has just taken on a position as one of InStyle magazines fashion editors. Rachel Bilson will be writing a monthly column addressing all of YOUR concerns in InStyle magazine. Since the successful launch of her Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans line, Rachel’s fashionista talents have been well sought after, and it sounds like InStyle has a rare gem on their hands. In her monthly column, she will not only answer questions, but share her must have items as well. She says the relationship with InStyle is perfect because fashion is something she could talk about all day long. In May’s issue, she will cover areas like how to wear those trendy scarves in warmer weather, or how to pair one of those sexy but bulky handbags with a simple cocktail gown. These are just samples of the burning questions that every fashionista has, and Rachel has them covered for you. The first issue comes out today, so be sure to grab your copy. Rachel Bilson and her long time love Hayden Christensen were spotted here shortly before the American Thanksgiving at LAX as they arrived to catch an Air Canada flight. And this was just one step of many that the couple have taken lately to show how serious their commitment is, as this visit was purported to be a ‘Meet the Parents’ type thing for Rachel. Hayden is a Canadian, and by the looks of it, he was bringing Rachel home to get her acquainted with his hometown. And by the sounds of it, his ploy worked, as sorry to disappoint you boys, but the oh so sexy Rachel Bilson has been snagged up for good. But we can’t say that we didn’t see this one coming. Rachel has been joined at the hip by Hayden Christensen for some time now, and the two have not been secret at all about how committed they are to each other. The two co-starred together in the 2008 flick ‘Jumper’ and it seems that it was love at first sight. And tho the reps haven’t come out of the woodwork with any official comment, the two did get engaged and it sounds like they have managed to keep it under wraps from us. The only comment Rachel’s rep could provide was ‘I do not comment on my clients personal lives’. Uh hello, isn’t that what reps are supposed to DO? Isn’t that why they ARE reps? At any rate….The magical moment happened over the holidays, and the two are blissfully in love and plan to have a long life together. No word yet on when this will take place, but Rachel being a style icon, my hunch is that this is going to be one of the bigger Hollywood affairs, and not of the ‘eloping is chic’ variety that seems to be one of Hollywoods trends right now. And since the official announcement came in the New York Post, yes, this will be big. Our congratulations go out to the happy couple!

Hard to say, but the parent milestone is one that Hayden has already passed, and with flying colors, considering it was Rachel’s mom that dropped them off at the airport. But whether they are going to meet the parents or not, they are definitely a serious item. So much so that the ‘next step’ of moving in together is right around the corner. The two even are said to be planning a dream home in Hayden’s home country of Canada. Why Canada? Why not. It will give both of them roots in either country, be it Canada, or the United States. The two have been dating since they met on the set of ‘Jumper’ last year, and are hoping to have a dream home in Uxbridge, Ontario. And when will the big moving day occur? Rachel Bilson is QUITE the style maven and has set herself apart from many of the Hollywood IT girls by always being en pointe when it comes to trends and style. So it is no surprise whatsoever that she would appear on the cover of the hot magazine UK InStyle. It’s where all the IT girls want to be, but you know what they say, only the cream rises. Rachel delivered a smoking photo session for the magazine and honoured InStyle and her fans with some dish on her personal life. It’s about time is all I have to say. When it comes to being a star, Rachel says that she actually hates the attention, and considering that she’s an actress, some may find that strange. But I guess she just loves what she does, and she does it well. As far as style and trends and big time labels, yes, she is definitely a trend setter, but you won’t catch this girl spending too much money. She doesn’t often wear expensive things, and thinks that things like $1400 shoes are ‘crazy’….Rachel? She’ll wait for the sale. Not that she won’t succumb to the oohs of high fashion. She recently had the opportunity to meet Karl Lagerfield, the current Creative Director for the house of Chanel, and easily one of the most influential designers in the fashion industry. And Rachel experienced a little bit of her own star gasp, describing the experience as surreal, like meeting the pope, or the president, or a cartoon. (no difference between those three almost) One of her icons though that does inspire is, surprisingly enough, Victoria Beckham, the woman everyone loves to hate. But Rachel respects the fact that Victoria does her own thing and thinks that takes a lot of energy to pull off. And having been the Maid of Honor for her best friend recently, she kind of freaked out about the experience. With the groom being a writer and all, she felt some pressure to be funny. But the wedding itself confirmed a few things for Rachel. She’s not ready to settle down yet, with a man, but thinks mommyhood isn’t that far off the mark. Perhaps the next couple of years? And since she is heatedly connected to Hayden Christien, she says well, anything can happen. She says she finds herself dating actors because that’s just the world she’s in, it is who she surrounds herself with. As for Hayden? A totally guys guy from Rachel’s point of view, in the tractors and such kind of way. She is learning to play chess with *a certain someone* but *that person* happens to be very good and she doesn’t think she’ll ever beat *that person* but that’s her end goal.
