Are Lindsay and Samantha engaged or no? Yes, no, maybe so, but this is a story that is getting old and fast. They should start adopting or something if they want to keep their headlines fresh. Here Lilo is seen shopping in New York City in the fashion district of SoHo where she spent some time (sans Sam I might add) at the hot Kirna Zabete boutique. And Lindsay Lohan is looking stunning as ever. And it may be just because she happens to be that pretty, or due to the glow of the ever present light of love shining in her life. We talked a while back about the hot Mexico getaway that Lindsay took with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson, where Lindsay needed some down time to escape the wrath of some record executives. It sounds like Samantha had some plans up her sleeve to help wind her down a little. Britain’s Star magazine is reporting that Samantha had purchased a ring to the value of almost $100 K before the holiday and had planned to surprise Lindsay with it over the holiday. And as romantic as these things get, Samantha suggested a civil partnership as recognized by the State of California and presented Lilo with a smoking Cartier diamond band over dinner. They were dining in an exclusive hotel costing approximately $3 K a night, in Cabo San Lucas and Samantha had arranged for a private table out on the waterfront. Things were going well, and even better, when the waiter appeared bearing ring under covered silver tray. The ring, though yet to be seen on Lindsay’s fingers, was a diamond band with a large diamond in the center, and Samantha proposed in front of the waiter who then popped the champagne as Lindsay said yes. I wonder if our recovering alcoholic partook of the celebratory drink? Just a thought. It sounds like she did, as the two enjoyed the Cristal under the moonlight on the water until about 2 AM by the waiter’s account until they disappeared into their very expensive hotel room for the night. And as we well know, Lindsay doesn’t give a rat’s behind what anyone has to say about it.

People can think what they want. I’m really happy, and that’s all that matters. She’s a really great person.

Wouldn’t you have just LOVED to be that waiter though? Getting a tip from two of the most talked about celebrities, being involved in their so romantic moment, and THEN being able to scoop heaps of cash from the British tabloids for your story! Sweet!

Lindsay Lohan is seen here getting ready for a little Mexican getaway with her girlfriend Sam Ronson. Lindsay is leaving their home in the Hollywood Hills with luggage and her sweetie in tow. And the girls have been under a little bit of pressure of late what with Lilo’s issues with her dad, and the whole coming out thing, so they decided to get away from it all for a bit with some fun in the sun in Cabo San Lucas. And the timing couldn’t be better, because once Lindsay gets back home, she will need to be hunkering down for some real work and focus on her career. The first track from her album ‘Spirit in the Dark’ has already been creating quite the buzz and she needs to get hot on the promo trail according to her record execs. But they seem to be a little irritated with her as her focus seems to be more on her personal life and less on her work. She’s been holding up on the anticipated November 4th release of her album by asking for continuous last minute changes to the liners. Part of this hold up? Her ‘thank you’s’ inside the liners were written when she and Sam weren’t public, in the official way, and now she wants to make sure that Sam gets all the recognition she deserves. She wants to name Samantha directly, considering a track on the album ‘Problem Solver’ directly refers to the disagreement between Daddy Lohan and his angst over the whole relationship. At the same time, her execs are kinda miffed over the fact that she has been passing on choice cuts from the album to Samantha for her DJ gigs, and since nothing is supposed to be public yet, they are less than pleased about it. Not sure what could be considered a choice cut at this point, but it now makes perfect sense why the two have taken off to hide for a while….November 4th is coming soon, so we will see how this one pans out.

Not sure if the photo spread is for K-Mart or some line of frump wear, but this is definitely a look that doesn’t work for her. At any rate, it sounds like she has finally stepped out of the closet for good, and I sense that her GF Samantha Ronson may have pushed her out of said closet. Last weekend following the plane crash involving Travis Barker and DJ AM Sam and Lindsay did a telephone interview on the radio show ‘Loveline’ to express their sympathies. Sam surprised the radio DJ, all of his listeners, and Lindsay as well I am thinking when she passed the phone off to Lindsay. Stryker, the host asked if that was Sam’s ‘lady friend’ to which Sam replied yes. When Lilo got on the phone, she was asked how long they’ve been together, and all Lindsay would divulge is that it was for ‘a very long time’. Now given that Lindsay was dating the uber gnarly snowboarder Riley Giles last November, we can make our guesses accordingly as to how long they have really been together. And from the sounds of it, they will be together for a while, in the ‘till death do us part’ kind of way if Samantha has her way. The couple are already said to be planning their wedding, but Sam wants it to happen soon *just in case* Lindsay changes her mind about her sexuality. Nothing like trust in true love, huh? Sam is well aware, probably more than we know, that Lindsay loves her sexuality and I believe the word ‘rampant’ was used. Sam isn’t sure if she is able to keep Lindsay satisfied and hopes that getting married will seal the deal on that worry. At the same time, Sam is apparently the ‘needy one’ of the two and this factor has turned into almost nut bar possessiveness which is causing friction with Lindsay’s friends. Sam wants to be with her 24/7 and is waaay possessive but it sounds like Lindsay is happy with it. If Sam is that worried about being with her so much, this too probably stems down to her insecurities about Lindsay, her sexuality, and the trust issues because as we all know, NOBODY is ever that possessive without some underlying issues. Ah well, will this love last? Only time can tell us that boys and girls…

It sounds like Lilo and Sam are officially ready to take their relationship ‘to the next level’. Here is a couple that has been together for much longer than we’ve known about, and much longer than expected. While the public has been speculating about their relationship for quite some time, the two had not made any official announcements until they were forced to when things got ugly with media hungry Daddy Lohan. And now, well, since the cat is out of the bag, the two are probably breathing a sigh of relief that they can relax a little bit about their coupledom. And perhaps they have relaxed too much because Samantha Ronson recently let it slip that she and Lindsay are now engaged, and are set to marry by the end of the year. Samantha was working a gig DJing at the hip and exclusive Hollywood hotel the Chateau Marmont and made an announcement that she and Lilo are now engaged. And from her choice of words, we can see who wears the pants in the family, not that it would come as any surprise:

By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs. Ronson! Tonight shows the power of a woman – to underestimate that is to underestimate the world.”

But this is not the first slip for this couple, as Lilo made a joke about ‘her husband’ when referring to sam at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. Joke or no, you know what they say, there is truth in jest, and it sounds like the two are well on their way to a happy and long life together. Many congrats to the two, as we have seen, this relationship is definitely done nothing but good for former trainwreck Lindsay Lohan.

There has been a lot of hubbaloo this summer about the torrid house play between Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan, and every time they are talked about, it seems that someone is discussing the fact that they haven’t actually made their relationship ‘official’. Public yes, with plenty of displays of PDA and obvious points of note that they can’t seem to separate themselves, but no official announcements of sorts. This past week has gotten a little heated between Lilo and her media loving daddy bear, and it seems this heated spat has forced Lindsay to make things CRYSTAL clear with Daddy-Oh. She has been spending quite a bit of time on her MySpace blog in efforts to get things across to him, and one of her recent attempts came through a heavy drop of the L bomb in a recent post. She used the word ‘smitten’ in reference to her feelings for Sam and went so far as to dedicate Ray LaMontagne’s schmaltzy ballad ‘Trouble’ to someone she referred to as ‘sr’. She put the song as her ‘Currently Listening’ track, and said ‘This song is for sr….ILY…’ the ILY presumably meaning, I Love You. One could say the L bomb was one dropped between friends as well, but when you look at Ray’s lyrics, they look like this:

She gave me love and affection/I said I love her/She’s good to me” and “I’ve been saved by a woman/She won’t let me go/She won’t let me go now

So I guess that’s a big ol’ SO THERE Dad if I ever saw one. Oh, and as a point of note, ‘sr’ is currently on a DJ gig in Australia, leaving her honey bee mopey and lonely, so Lilo wants to surprise her with her favorite treat when she returns, Dixie Cups, but is having a hard time finding them. She says they are the desserts given in school that are half vanilla and half chocolate. ‘I have to have them before she gets back – so anyone that can help me find them – please, please, please, post it for me to see!!!!” Any thoughts on the location of Dixie Cups to help out poor lonely Lilo?
