Shia LaBeouf Needs More Hand Surgery Following His DUI Crash ~ Hot Momma Gossip
Pacificcoastnews.com
Shia LaBeouf is developing quite the reputation as a man where trouble follows him. He’s recently been injured on the set of Transformers 2, making this the second injury he’s suffered this year that has affected his work. The first injury of course was when he was caught in that little DUI snaffoo thing where he was in a car accident, and suffered some injuries to his left hand. This injury involved a falling prop, and Shia was hit in the face by the prop and ended up with a gash underneath his left eyebrow. He was taken to the hospital and given stitches for the gash, and I guess it was back to business after the accident. Shia returned to the set immediately and went right back to work. But it sounds like even that will be worked into the script as after Shia received surgery following his DUI crash, he went right back to work and the writers incorporated a hand injury into the script to accommodate for the obvious injury. With a gash on his face, I am sure they will have to come up with something. But when oh when will Calamity Shia see things calm down for himself I wonder?

Shia LaBeouf is seen here with his Transformers 2 co-star Isabel Lucas, just days after the pair were in the highly publicized car crash where Shia was found to be not so sober at the time of the accident. Isabel was Shia’s passenger at the time and suffered some minor injuries, while Shia required surgery to his hand as a result, and you can see here how badly Shia’s hand was affected. During the accident, a car ran a red light and collided with Shia’s Ford 150 pickup truck, rolling Shia’s truck which caused their injuries. Because another driver ran the light, at the time Shia was not found to be at fault, despite the fact that he ran positive on the breathalyzer test. Shia was charged with DUI but not for the cause of the accident. It seems that Shia may have hit a stroke of luck there, as DUI causing bodily harm is MUCH more significant from a legal perspective than DUI, but if Shia was breathing a sigh of relief about that, he may have to hold his breath. According to California law, if a driver in an accident is found guilty of a DUI, whether they caused the accident or not, they can still be placed as the blame for the accident. If the Los Angeles police go full throttle with the DUI charge then, Shia will be considered automatically at fault for the accident. Thus, it will be the other driver who will get a by for reckless driving on this one, and not Shia. Transformers 2 producer Michael Bay is defending Shia saying his drinking had occurred HOURS and HOURS before and that he wasn’t drunk at the time. The lies around the celebrity lives is astonishing. Let’s protect the celebs instead of those helpless drivers out there who could be hurt at their hands. Why aren’t people taking a bigger stance on this? Drinking and driving SUCKS and so does anyone that engages in that. I think Shia is a talented actor, but you know…I’m kinda hoping he gets nailed here.

Well well well, how many had bets that it would be this little amount of time before we heard about Shia LaBeouf considering rehab? It’s been less than a couple of weeks since his DUI arrest, and word is out now that Shia LaBeouf, a self-proclaimed alcoholic, is considering rehab. Shia was involved in a car accident late last month and was charged at the scene for DUI. As it turns out, he was not the cause of the accident, but rather, fault at the accident was given to the driver of the other vehicle who ran a red light. So it was just Shia’s bad luck that he had been drinking and driving when someone made that poor choice….Although Shia will not be charged for causing the accident, he still has to deal with this DUI snaffoo that came up as a result, and well you know, celebrities and alcoholism while creating ‘no such thing as bad’ publicity are still tainting his crispy reputation. But he hasn’t done himself any favors. In efforts to look ‘honest’ and ‘normal’ to his fans, Shia recently made a public announcement in an interview with Details magazine that he may have a problem with alcohol. He said that he was not able to be a gentleman about drinking, that he could never just ‘stop at one’. This interview was given before the accident, and I am very sure that Shia is biting those words, because now that he has a drinking and driving charge, that statement will NOT bode well for him with the legal system. So now, in true backpedaling Hollywood form, entertainment news show ‘Extra’ is reporting that Shia is considering rehab. But NOT because he wants to clean up his act and get his life on track, but because ‘judges like to see it’. Yeah. Big shocker there. He’s currently recovering from surgery he underwent as a result of the surgery, but is expected to be back on the set of Transformers 2 soon. And I am sure in the meantime, the good folks at the Cirque Lodge will be warming up a room for him…just in case.
