Oh if only the walls in St. Tropez could talk, as more celebs have changed their lives on a whim with a little trip down to Spain’s hottest location where all the stars love to shine in the summer. And Tara Reid is no exception, but after a broken engagement to a multi kozillionairre we wondered how she could afford it. Well, yes it is true, EVEN after calling off her engagement last spring, Tara Reid will make you believe in love with a multi-millionaire again. My heart died when Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins split up, but maybe it’s not too late to defibrillate it back to life, because Tara Reid and her ex-fiance Michael Axtmann are back at least on vacationing terms. They were snapped on the beach in St. Tropez, France. Slightly more interesting than that: Tara wears heels on the beach. Such an intriguingly mysterious woman. Tara, who starred in American Pie as well as the past decade of Us Weekly, and Mike, an internet baron, called off their engagement in April after four months. Why they called it off remains as mysterious as what happened with Tara’s botched lypo, but obviously it was nothing that an expensive vacation to splashy St. Tropez couldn’t fix. And of course….Paris Hilton is also on vacation on the island. I know that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re hanging out. Just because they’re both celebrities doesn’t mean they, like, call each other. But I just figure Tara likes to drink, and Paris has been getting sprayed with a lot of champagne. If Tara wrings stale champagne out of Paris’s hair and into her mouth, would you like her more or less? I’m thinking more.

Well, it sounds like the inevitable has finally happened. Tara Reid is one starlet that has earned quite the reputation for being one of Hollywood’s biggest party girls, and she has been referred to as an alcoholic more than once. So should it be any surprise that she has had to join the Hollywood bad girls by ending up in rehab? No, it shouldn’t. And it has happened. Tara’s rep Jack Ketsoyan has told People magazine that Tara has voluntarily checked herself into the Promises Treatment Center for rehabilitation. He hopes that we ‘respect her and her family’s privacy at this time’. And that’s about all that was said on the topic, with the topic of ‘why’ being delicately eluded, though it can’t be any real secret as to what landed Tara in the bin. Tuesday morning was when Tara headed out to Promises, and all that are around her are very supportive of her decision. And though we don’t have an official reason as to why she is in Promises, sources say it is even unclear as to whether or not she will be out before the holidays, so she must be in for something *serious*. All of this after Tara herself gave a candid interview with People telling them that she hated the alcoholic image she was given, and that she wasn’t that girl at all. She said that she was a ‘social drinker’ who enjoyed the occasional glass of wine with friends, and nothing more, nothing less. She was asked then if she would ever be tempted to fall back into her old habits, and she seemed pretty adamant that she wouldn’t be. She said no, she’s been there done that and had enough partying for a lifetime. But well….guess in Hollywood a lifetime doesn’t last all that long if she is in Promises now, huh?

Tara Reid is seen here in Las Vegas modelling some items from her brand new clothing lable Mantra, a beachwear range including all kinds of Tara-esque barely there pieces. The show was being debuted at the ‘When I Move You Move’ fashion tradeshow in Las Vegas as hosted by Christian Audiger, and is the very same label that connected her with her current main squeeze Julien Jarmoune. Julien is the executive king of the huge fashion house J & Company and the two met while Tara was in France developing the label. They got pretty hot and heavy pretty fast, and initial reports were that when they came back to the United States together, they were engaged. And yes, shocking enough considering Tara has a very WILD reputation for being a party girl, and not exactly the ‘settle me down’ type. But apparently according to reps for Tara, the whole engagement thing is just a rumor. The fact that she and Julien are a happy couple however is not. The two are crazy infatuated with each other but have made absolutely no plans to settle down any time soon. Tara says about both her relationship and her career, “I feel like I’m in a really great place in my life, and I love what I’m doing,” Reid said recently of her work as a designer. “I love acting but I can’t hire myself. If this works, then we’re in business. If not, I tried.” And that seems to be her motto for pretty much everything as she is definitely WELL known for her free-spirited ways. Tara has also been linked to well, just about everyone in Hollywood, and was previously engaged to Carson Daly in 2001. She says if she had stayed with him she wouldn’t have gone through that partying stage and they would probably have a brood of kids by now. Yeah, and they probably would have already had their consults for implants I am sure.

Tara went to the fashion capital in France to research her new fashion line called Mantra, and it sounds like the two feel for each other pretty hard, and pretty fast. So much so that he’s going to try and make an honest woman of Tara and spend the rest of their lives together. Tara is over the moon about this man and is completely in love according to reports by some friends, and supposedly Julien has had quite a calming effect on Tara. By most reports, Tara is no longer the party loving wild girl and has blossomed into a mature business woman, and well, eventually a wife. Tara is working to clean up her reputation, and it seems that Julien is a driving force behind that. Next summer is the informal talk as to when the nuptials are scheduled so, we will see what happens. NEXT summer is still quite a ways away, and well, we all know Tara. This said ‘calming effect’ will be believed when it is seen…
