According to TMZ, Zac Efron was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center today suffering from appendicitis. His rep said “He had his appendix removed and is recuperating.” THANK GOD! I know that there’s probably millions of girls out there that would be totally devastated if anything were to happen to him. Why couldn’t it be Spencer Pratt who had appendicitis? He would be perfect since nobody cares about him. So ya, let’s now rejoice in his hotness… and secretly hope that he breaks up with Vanessa Hudgens. Oh, was that my outloud voice? Here’s a pic of the two pumping gas @ a gas station over the summer in Cali. Surprisingly, I don’t see Britney in the background smoking a cigarette. What gives!?

For many girls all across North America, this is the leading man that causes one to break out in a sweat just by seeing a picture of him. Now, girls all over will have to control themselves once again as this boy wonder has just landed on the cover of Details magazine. My question is, what took so long, and is GQ next? Zac Efron is quite easily the largest heartthrob in America and has become more than just a household name. If you can’t get enough of a fix from High School Musical, you can find him covering just about any facet of merchandising there is from PJ’s to lunch boxes. And, for those of you awaiting his next big screen piece, you will have to wait for his next release which is called Seventeen. This movie is sort of Big in reverse. Zac stars with Matthew Perry who plays a 38 year old man who ends up in the body of a 17 year old, Zac Efron. This is a new switch for Efron as he has to play the image of a boy, but the character of a man. Should be interesting! Keep an eye out, and in the meantime, have a look at Details!

Anyone? Anyone? Can we have some takers please? Yes, Zac Efron has gone public with some kissing pointers, the kind he likes to both give and receive. Perhaps we should have some volunteers just so that we can see exactly what he is talking about. He has recently provided some dish on just what he expects from both the kisser and the kissee. As a kisser girls, you can now fill your fantasies with all that you would expect from Zac. He is very respectful, and takes the other person’s interests and needs to heart. I think he actually used the words ‘nice and slow’. I know, humina humina…..From the kissee? He doesn’t like the washing machine effect, or the vacuum move either. Yup, this is Zac Efron with two girls on his arm, to your right he is posing with his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, and to your left he is hanging on to his co-star from High School Musical, Ashley Tinsdale. The group are at a special premiere marking the High School Musical 2 release on DVD. And, as you can see here, the cheeky monkey does NOT have his eyes glued to his girlfriend, but to the cleavage on the left. Nice!! Bad, Zac Efron, BAD. I am sure once Vanessa gets a look at these shots she may have a few words. Or not, we know how innocent she is now don’t we!

Could it be TRUE? Have our favorite *puke* star-crossed lovers have found their way back to each other? Here we have Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, ‘former’ high school sweethearts, hanging out on Saturday having some fun at the gas station after they spent the day together. Zac is getting pumped at the pumps showing off his pretty, shiny new set of wheels. The ‘High School Musical’ pair seemed a little surprised to run into not only the paparazzi at the gas station, but to meet actor Peter Greene on the forecourt. After getting pumped, they spent the afternoon at a friend’s house. So…what’s the dealio here? As far as we knew Zac gave her the turf shortly after her pics came out. Probably cuz they were you know, for that guy, what was his name? I’ll just call him ‘not Zac Efron’. So are they on again, or just doing the very mature ‘just friends’ thing. Don’t know, I really don’t think ‘mature’ is a word in Hudgens’s vocab, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Here you are seeing Vanessa Hudgens taking some time out with her mom for a little coffee run. Aren’t they just too cute? They stopped here at The Coffee Bean before heading to a recording studio on Friday. Vanessa enjoyed some paps time with her mom as she waited for her coffee, and mom got right into it with the standard mom peck on the cheek pose. Vanessa was also spotted texting on her Apple iPhone at the same time. So cute, our little ‘High School Musical Star’ is learning how to get some decent exposure while NOT being indecently exposed. Huh. I wonder if mom knows about THAT one yet. Or I wonder if Mama H. has clued in to the fact that Vanessa is not about to be Mrs. Efron anytime soon. Zac Efron as the future son-in-law – dream shattered. Yup, it would take me a while to get over that one too.

Studio execs are smack dab in the middle of casting for the next upcoming film Speed Racer and are turning down some pretty big names. Rose McGowan was one of them, and it seems this is what happens when you get to know your plastics doc a little too well.

McGowan, 34, has admitted to having plastic surgery for an eye injury related to a car accident. But casting skeptics suspect she has had much more done, and that it cost her the role. “The studio felt like she was hard to recognize and worried that by the time the movie hit theaters, fans might not know who she was,” says our insider.

A car accident? How bad was it? I mean, I have to agree with the casting agents that this girl is not the same looking girl. She well doesn’t look a thing like Paige Matthews from the movie Charmed back in 1998. But, maybe it has to do with age, too? I don’t know how that would affect film marketing. Maybe the casting crew is just too picky. The word is that Zac Efron was also politely turned down.

During his auditions, Zac never connected to the romantic lead in the reading,” says our source. “By the second round, the casting crew didn’t feel he was believable as a leading man hero.” ~ NY Daily News

Not a man hero? Maybe these agents have been living under a big rock for a little while, because in case they didn’t know, every girl in the 13-25 demographic in the freaking country wants this man. But who am I to say?
