It is no secret to anyone that Britney Spears has been on an upward spiral this year following diagnosis and treatment of her mental health issues. She seems to be doing everything she can to prove to the world, and the custody courts, that she is doing A-Ok. She’s settled nicely back into steady work life and has been working on a new album that she describes as her best work ever. And, right in concert with the highly publicized notion that she misses her mommy days dearly, her sons have inspired much of the work on the album. She has a song titled ‘My Baby’ that she has dedicated to both her boys, Sean and Jaden, and says she uses them as inspiration to sit at her piano and write every day to illustrate their meaning in her life. And it’s not just music or health factors that Britney has worked hard to clean up. No, she’s settled right into domestic bliss at home and says her favorite thing to do is housework. She even gets irritated if her housekeeper doesn’t leave any housework for her to do. Her favorite tasks are dusting and Windex-ing anything and everything. She also loves to cook, and notably, especially for her boys, who she says love her spaghetti more than anyone else’s. Were we to read back several months ago and the things she was doing in her life that she enjoyed the most then, to hear that she was a cleaning fanatic would be astounding, and even unbelievable. But it’s wonderful to hear Britney gushing about the smaller things in life, like housework, as it shows that she, and her health, are exactly where they should be.
Jennifer Aniston is seen here late last year in a short tight pink dress filming scenes for her latest movie ‘He’s Just Not that Into You’. And while Jennifer didn’t know it at the time, she may have wanted to pick up a few tips for the broken hearted while she was filming the movie, given that the latest love of her life, John Mayer has ended their hot and torrid relationship. However, while Jennifer may be nursing a broken heart from John Mayer, she doesn’t seem to be tending to it too much, as she has already been linked to a new man. Reports are that Jennifer is currently seeing male model Matt Felker and is enjoying herself considerably. This news comes in the wake of other news that John Mayer had only asked for a ‘break’ from their relationship, and not a ‘breakup’. Seems he and Jennifer were on different pages when it came to ‘where they were going’ and that Jennifer was far more serious than he was in terms of commitment, commitment, and yeah, commitment. I saw this coming when John refused to get a tattoo to commemorate their love that went further than the initial ‘J’. Yeah, cuz getting your own initial tattooed is true love for sure. But Jennifer wanted not just a tattoo for John, she wanted the whole package, marriage, a family, and a man who doesn’t want to be with anyone else but her. And why shouldn’t she have it? Well, you’ll have to ask John that question because it seems he just wasn’t ready to end his Player Mayer status, and that commitment issues were the real reason for the break. Guess he doesn’t really know that their break is the same kind that Ross and Rachel had, a permanent one. And Jennifer doesn’t seem to mind at all. Atta girl!

Jessica Simpson is seen here leaving Mr. Chow restaurant in Los Angeles, and it seems that lately she is resorting back to her Daisy Duke look with teensy denim hotpants. But it’s not just dipsy daisy style that Jessica is going back to, it sounds like she is going back to her old ways of stupid is as stupid does. And the look on her face here could be that she’s discovering that the world really does think of her as the idiot she is. Her most recent idiot stunt was pulled when she misread a home pregnancy test. That’s right. Despite the very clear directions on and in the box, Jessica screwed it up and for a brief moment in time thought that she was preggers with Tony Romo’s baby. News that in fact was so exciting to both Tony and Jessica that they immediately went and blabbed the news to his family during a recent visit. The news was not so well received by his family unfortunately, and a huge fight erupted due to the fact that they aren’t married. Tony’s mom was even reported as crying and saying ‘How can you do this to us??’. In fact, all of the stress and disappointment was for naught, as Jessica later had to admit that she had made a mistake when it came to how to read the test properly. Or perhaps, just read properly period. Sheesh. Only Jessica Simpson. Maybe one of these days she will learn how to read properly, and will have to make the bombshell to the family again, as reports are that she IS trying to have a baby. If it does happen, at least she will be well prepared for the Romo family reaction…..
Here are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes attending the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Tropic Thunder’ at the Mann Village Theater this week. And as per usual, it is easy to see where the height advantage is here. Katie not only has a few inches on her hubby, but when you throw a pair of killer heels on her, the towering effect is even more obvious. Good thing though that Tom doesn’t seem to mind, mind you, this is a man who probably has more confidence than he needs. Funny though that Katie would get glammed up for the event and Tom shows up in pressed jeans and an open shirt, but again, that’s cockiness for you. Or maybe that’s just me. Katie has been making news of late with her recent work on Broadway, and has been spending most of her time in New York preparing for as much, but these two as a couple have not seemed to make too many headlines. Until now that is, as it sounds like Tom is going to take his leading lady to the big screen with him. The two will star in a new comedy called ‘Food Fight’, the story of an arrogant New York chef who will be forced to cook in a school cafeteria. I wonder who will play the arrogant man, hm? The thought of Tom Cruise in a comedy is an interesting one though…There is no official word on this, all speculation at this point. Universal Pictures says about the pair working together ‘Definitely maybe’ while the script writer Adam Brooks is not confirming one way or another. If it goes ahead, this will not be the first time Tom goes to the big screen with his love, he will just be doing it a little backwards this time. He met his first wife Nicole Kidman on the set of ‘Days of Thunder’ and then later worked with her on ‘Far and Away’ and ‘Eyes Wide Shut’. He also met one of his ex-girlfriends, Penelope Cruz, on the set of ‘Vanilla Sky’. If this goes forward, it will definitely be interesting to see the on-screen chemistry of this couple, but again, a comedy with Tom Cruise just almost doesn’t make sense to me. We’ll see!
What, was it just last week that Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were talking about a trial marriage, and a wedding before February? Hm. By all accounts though, it seems this whirlwind romance has come to an end. After four months and much talk about moving in together, getting married, and starting a family, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer seemed to have called it quits. The breakup was first reported by the Mirror, a UK tabloid, but has been also seen on People magazine as well. Who what where when and why is unknown, but the general consensus seems to be that he did the breaking up. The breakup started out as ‘a break’ that’s right, circa Ross and Rachel, but has now ended up in a full blown break up. I wonder if he slept with the copy shop lady? It should be of no surprise, since Player Mayer is sort of known as a serial dater in Hollywood, but still, I feel kind of bad for Jennifer. I never really thought of them as the best couple, or him the best man for her, but it was so nice to hear how happy she was doing these days. The fact that she’s just finished filming ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ kinda gives it an even bigger burn doesn’t it? However, if he doesn’t want her, then she doesn’t need him and she can certainly do much better.
